Claims (14)

  1. A method for producing rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry, in particular filter cigarettes or alternative smoking products, wherein rod-shaped articles are conveyed transversely to the axial direction by means of conveying devices (126, 128, 123, 124), in particular conveying drums, of a drum arrangement, wherein rod-shaped articles of double length are provided with a first perforation pattern by means of a first perforation unit (223), in another step the rod-shaped articles of double length are provided with a second perforation pattern by means of a second perforation unit (224) and in a subsequent step the rod-shaped articles of double length are cut into rod-shaped articles of single length and subsequently the rod-shaped articles of single length are provided with a third perforation pattern by means of a third perforation unit (236).
  2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that, for the first perforation pattern, the rod-shaped articles of double length are conveyed on a first conveying drum (123) to the first perforation unit (223) and, for the second perforation pattern, the rod-shaped articles of double length are conveyed on an additional conveying drum (124) to the second perforation unit (224).
  3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the rod-shaped articles of double length are conveyed on a common conveying drum (128) and, for the first perforation pattern, are passed from the common conveying drum (128) to a or the first conveying drum (123) and conveyed to the first perforation unit (223) by means of the first conveying drum (123), are subsequently conveyed back from the first conveying drum (123) to the common conveying drum and conveyed from the common conveying drum (128) after the first perforation to an or the additional conveying drum (124) for the second perforation, passed from the common conveying drum (128) to the additional conveying drum (124) and conveyed to the second perforation unit (224) by means of the additional conveying drum, and subsequently are conveyed back from the additional conveying drum (124) to the common conveying drum (128).
  4. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that before conveyance of the rod-shaped articles of double length on the common conveying drum on an upstream conveying drum, in particular rolling drum, the rod-shaped articles of double length are wrapped in a wrapping strip.
  5. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the rod-shaped articles of double length provided with two perforation patterns are cut into rod-shaped articles of single length in the conveying direction ahead of the third perforation unit (236), such that two substreams of rod-shaped articles of single length are produced, the two substreams of rod-shaped articles of single length subsequently being formed into a single conveying stream of rod-shaped articles of single length.
  6. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the rod-shaped articles are inspected by means of an inspection unit between the second perforation unit (224) and the third perforation unit (236) relative to the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles, the rod-shaped articles of double length being inspected individually before formation of the substreams of rod-shaped articles of single length or the rod-shaped articles of single length being inspected individually after formation of a or the single conveying stream from two substreams of rod-shaped articles of single length.
  7. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the rod-shaped articles of single length are inspected by means of an inspection unit (237, 238) downstream the third perforation unit (236) relative to the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles.
  8. A machine of the tobacco processing industry, in particular a filter assembling machine, for producing rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry, in particular filter cigarettes or alternative smoking products, comprising a drum arrangement consisting of a plurality of conveying drums (126, 128, 123, 124) for conveying the rod-shaped articles transversely to the axial direction, wherein a first perforation unit (223) for perforating the rod-shaped articles, in particular the rod-shaped articles of double length, with a first perforation pattern, a second perforation unit (224) for perforating the rod-shaped articles, in particular the rod-shaped articles of double length, with a second perforation pattern and a third perforation unit (236) for perforating the rod-shaped articles, in particular the rod-shaped articles of single length, with a third perforation pattern, are provided one after the other in the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles.
  9. The machine according to claim 8, characterized in that the drum arrangement has a common conveying drum (128), a first conveying drum (123) for transporting the rod-shaped articles of double length from the common conveying drum (128) to the first perforation unit (223) and back to the common conveying drum (128) being arranged on the common conveying drum (128) for the rod-shaped articles of double length and a second, additional conveying drum (124) for transporting the rod-shaped articles of double length from the common conveying drum (128) to the second perforation unit (224) and back to the common conveying drum (128) being arranged on the common conveying drum (128).
  10. The machine according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that a rolling drum (126) comprising a rolling device (127) for wrapping each rod-shaped article of double length in a wrapping strip is arranged ahead of or upstream of the first perforation unit (223) or the common conveying drum relative to the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles.
  11. The machine according to any one of claims 8 to 10, characterized in that an inspection unit for inspecting the rod-shaped articles and/or a cutting assembly for cutting the rod-shaped articles of double length into rod-shaped articles of single length are provided between the second perforation unit (224) and the third perforation unit (236) relative to the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles.
  12. The machine according to any one of claims 8 to 11, characterized in that an inspection unit (237, 238) for inspecting the rod-shaped articles of single length is provided downstream of the third perforation unit (236) relative to the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles.
  13. The machine according to any one of claims 8 to 12, characterized in that at least one, in particular two, radiation sources, in particular laser radiation sources, are provided for each perforation unit (223, 224, 236).
  14. The machine according to any one of claims 8 to 13, characterized in that a cutting drum (129) comprising a cutting assembly (132) for cutting the rod-shaped articles of double length into rod-shaped articles of single length and for forming two substreams of rod-shaped articles of single length and a turning device for forming a single conveying stream of rod-shaped articles of single length from the two formed substreams of rod-shaped articles of single length are provided between the common conveying drum (128) for the rod-shaped articles of double length and the third perforation unit (236) relative to the conveying direction of the rod-shaped articles.
