Description

The invention relates to a device for transporting piece goods according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such devices are used in particular for the transport of parts in the motor vehicle industry. They have several stacking containers made of particle foam, each of which is open at the top and is closed by the next container on the top of the stack. The top container of the stack can also be closed with a lid. The use of particle foam as the material for the containers has the advantage that the containers can be easily produced from one piece and have a soft and / or form-fitting inner surface that matches the piece goods to be accommodated, without being additionally equipped with an insert made of soft material Need to become. The stacking containers are positioned on top of one another by means of interlocking contours in the particle foam. During the manufacture of the containers, there are manufacturing tolerances that can be several millimeters for each container. Since these manufacturing tolerances also extend to the interlocking stack contours, it is possible that the deviations from the target dimension due to the manufacturing tolerances add up in the stack. This can lead to the fact that, in particular, components accommodated in the upper containers of a stack are no longer positioned so precisely that they can be reliably gripped by a robot. From the DE 299 11 799 U1 is known a load carrier made of foam, which can be stacked with other such load carriers to form a device of the type mentioned. This charge carrier has corner stabilizers which interlock with one another for centering with corner stabilizers of the other charge carriers.

It is an object of the invention to develop a device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the containers can be better positioned horizontally with respect to one another.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The invention is based on the idea of achieving the positioning of the containers relative to one another by means of the centering elements, which, owing to their formation from harder material, in particular from metal or a thermoplastic, have lower manufacturing tolerances and can be manufactured much more precisely with identical dimensions than the basic bodies of the containers which are preferably made in one piece, for example from expanded polypropylene (EPP), from expanded polyethylene (EPE) or from expanded polyurethane (EPU). Polyamide with glass fiber reinforcement is particularly suitable as the material for the centering elements, the glass fiber content preferably being at least 20% and preferably about 30%. Each container has a first centering element which defines a zero point and can be referred to as a zero point element. With regard to this zero point element, the second centering element or the second centering elements is or are arranged in a defined manner in the same way with respect to all three spatial directions (x, y and z direction) in each container. For this purpose, all containers are manufactured with the same machine that aligns the second centering element or the second centering elements for each container in an identical manner with respect to the zero point element. According to the invention, at least some of the centering parts have a longitudinal extension and each container has at least one first and at least one second centering section with a longitudinal extension in a first direction and at least one first and at least one second centering section with a longitudinal extension in a second direction transverse to the first direction ,

According to a preferred embodiment, the centering elements arranged one above the other not only engage in one another in order to achieve a defined alignment of the stacked containers, but on each centering element of one of the containers with the exception of the uppermost container there is an identical centering element of the next upper container, so that the centering elements form columns. As a result of this measure, the weight of the upper containers is transferred to the lower containers exclusively or predominantly in the area of the centering elements, so that the containers are also better defined relative to one another in the vertical direction. The centering elements are expediently firmly connected to the associated base body, for example screwed to it or connected to it in a form-fitting or material-locking manner.

The base bodies preferably each have an essentially rectangular or square floor plan and a centering element is arranged on each side of the floor plan. It is preferred that the centering elements of each container face each other in pairs. As a result, a precisely defined positioning of each container with respect to the other containers is achieved with only small tolerances.

A lid can be provided to close the uppermost container. The lid expediently has a base body which is made of the same material as the base body of the container. In addition, a bottom that is identical in construction to the lid can be provided, on which the bottom container rests. When removing the piece goods, the lid is first removed from the top container and the top container is emptied. Then the top container is placed on the lid, which then acts as the bottom. The emptied containers are then successively stacked on top of one another in the reverse stacking order until the bottom is placed on the top container is used and this acts as a cover. If the lid and the bottom also have different markings, it is easy to see whether the stack of containers consists of filled or emptied containers.

According to an advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the lid and the bottom each have a plurality of centering pieces which correspond in number and position to the number and position of the centering elements of the containers, the centering pieces of the cover each resting on one of the centering elements of the uppermost container and wherein one of the centering elements of the lowermost container rests on the centering pieces of the base. It is preferred that the centering pieces each have first centering parts protruding from the top of the cover or the bottom and second centering parts protruding from the underside of the cover or the bottom, which are structurally identical to the first or second centering parts of the associated centering elements. The positioning of the cover and the base with respect to the containers is then carried out by the interaction of the centering pieces with the centering elements, so that a precise positioning of the cover and the base with respect to the containers is achieved. In particular, the centering pieces in their dimensions in the horizontal (x and y direction) can be identical to the centering elements and differ from them only in their dimension in the vertical (z direction) in that they correspond to those of the height of the Container different height of the lid or the bottom is adjusted.

In the Figure 1 The transport device 10 shown has a frame 12 with a pallet 14 forming a base plate and four posts 16 which extend upwards at the corners of the pallet 14. A base 18 is placed on the pallet 14, on which a plurality of containers 20 are stacked one above the other. Each of the containers 20 has a base body 22 made of a particle foam, which is open to an upper side 24. Since the containers 20 are of identical design, each container 20 with the exception of the uppermost one is closed at the top by the next upper container 20. Finally, the uppermost one of the containers 20 is closed by means of a cover 26 resting on it, which covers it completely and is identical to the base 18. A structurally identical transport device 10 with its frame 12 can be placed on the posts 16 if several such transport devices 10 are to be stacked on top of one another.

Each container 20 has centering elements 30, 32 made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide which are accommodated in its base body 22 and fixed there with screws 28 (cf. Figures 2 . 3 ). In this case, a first centering element 30 is arranged centrally on one of the four sides 34 of the base body 22, which has a rectangular outline, with the exception of recesses 36 for receiving the posts 16 at the corners. The first centering element 30 serves as a zero point element for the positioning of the second centering elements 32, which are each arranged on one of the remaining three sides 34 of the base body 22. When the containers 20 are manufactured, the first centering element 30 is first anchored in the base body 22, and the position of the second centering elements 32 is then relative to the first in all three spatial directions Centering element 30 aligned identically for all containers 20. All centering elements 30, 32 extend through the base body 22 and protrude on its upper side 24 and on its lower side 38 facing away from the upper side 24. A first centering section 40 projects from the top 24, while a second centering section 42 projects from the underside 38. The centering parts 40, 42 are designed such that the first centering part 40 can be received with little play in the second centering part 42 of the corresponding centering element 30, 32 of the next upper container 20 (cf. Figure 4 ). The first centering parts 40 also taper upwards, so that insertion bevels for the second centering parts 42 are created. When the containers 20 are stacked one above the other, the centering elements 30, 32 stand on one another. The first centering elements 30 form a first column, while the second centering elements 32 form three second columns. The containers 20 are positioned exactly relative to one another by means of the centering elements 30, 32. The first centering parts 40 also have a longitudinal extent, the first centering parts 40 of the first centering element 30 and two second centering elements 32 extending parallel to the narrow sides 34 of the base body 32, while the first centering part 40 of the second centering element opposite the first centering element 30 32 extends perpendicular to this and parallel to the long sides 34 of the base body 22.

To position the container 20 on the bottom 18 and the lid 26 on the container 20, the bottom 18 and the lid 26 are each provided with a first centering piece 44 and with three second centering pieces 46.
