Definitions
- the invention relates to a storage container for arrangement in a dosing device of a program-controlled cleaning device, in particular a household dishwasher, with a base body providing a storage space for detergents, the storage space having a size that serves to store powdered cleaning agent in an amount that is necessary for carrying out a Majority of cleaning programs is sufficient.
- Cleaning devices of the type in question typically have a washing container that provides a washing area.
- This washing area is accessible to the user via a loading opening which can be closed in a fluid-tight manner by means of a pivoting washing area door.
- the washing container serves to hold items to be cleaned, which in the case of a domestic dishwasher can be, for example, dishes, cutlery and / or the like.
- the cleaning device has a spray device in the interior of the washing container for the application of washing liquid, the so-called washing liquor, to the items to be cleaned.
- this spray device provides rotatably mounted spray arms, two or three such spray arms typically being provided. When used as intended, the items to be cleaned are exposed to washing liquor by means of rotating spray arms.
- Process chemicals of this type can, for example, be cleaning agents that are used in the washing area of the cleaning device can be added under program control at a specific point in time of a running cleaning program.
- Solid cleaning agents can be in pourable powder form or as so-called tabs, i.e. in tablet form. Practice has shown, however, that the best cleaning results can be achieved with pourable cleaning agents in powder form.
- a cleaning device When using free-flowing cleaning agents in powder form, the user must manually dose the cleaning agent before starting a cleaning program.
- a cleaning device typically has a storage container on the inside of the door, which is to be filled with a manually determined amount of cleaning agent. While a cleaning program is running, this storage container opens at a certain point in time of the washing program and the cleaning agent stored in the storage container can be flushed out by the washing liquor located in the washing area of the cleaning device.
- dosing devices In order to be able to store detergent for a plurality of cleaning programs so that manual detergent dosing does not have to take place before the start of each cleaning program, dosing devices have been proposed, for example with the DE 10 2013 104 391 A1 , the EP 2850990 A1 , the DE 102013110403 A1 and the EP 2 928 288 A1 .
- the dosing devices known from the prior art have an exchangeably arranged storage container which is used to store cleaning agent in an amount that is sufficient for a plurality of cleaning programs.
- the storage container is mounted so that it can rotate about an axis of rotation, a rotational movement of the storage container being effected in a program-controlled manner in the case of the intended dosing.
- a motor-driven drive device is provided, by means of which a rotational movement of the storage container is carried out during operation.
- the storage container has an outlet opening for the purpose of dispensing cleaning agent. During operation, this is used to dispense cleaning agent in portions submitted. In this case, such a detergent is dispensed as a result of a twisting movement of the storage container. For every 360 ° rotation of the storage container, the same portion of cleaning agent is always supplied to the outlet opening and from there, with the interposition of a channel system, is released into the washing area of the cleaning device.
- the storage container used according to the known metering device has a base body which provides a storage space.
- This storage space is used to accommodate powdery cleaning agent, the storage space being of such a size that cleaning agent can be stored in an amount that is sufficient for carrying out a plurality of cleaning programs.
- the object of the invention is to propose a storage container for arrangement in a metering device of a program-controlled cleaning device, which, due to the design, allows the cleaning agent to be emptied with as little residue as possible. In particular, however, underdosing should be avoided.
- the invention proposes a storage container with the features of claim 1.
- the storage space provided by the storage container has a storage compartment.
- the storage space is therefore divided into the storage compartment on the one hand and the remaining part of the treatment room, the so-called storage chamber, on the other hand.
- the storage compartment always receives a such amount of detergent is retained that is sufficient for the implementation of a final cleaning program. If the case now occurs that so much cleaning agent has already been removed from the storage container by previous cleaning programs that the remaining amount in the storage chamber is not sufficient for the proper execution of a cleaning program, the cleaning agent retained by the storage compartment is transferred from the storage container to carry out a final cleaning program taken.
- the inventive design of a storage compartment is advantageous for several reasons. First of all, it is ensured that sufficient cleaning agent is available for the execution of an upcoming cleaning program. On the device side, it can also be detected that the detergent dispensed comes from the storage compartment, which can be used in an advantageous manner to indicate to the user that the storage container is now emptied and either to be refilled for the execution of a cleaning program following the cleaning program or by a filled storage container to be replaced.
- the storage compartment serves as a detergent reservoir that stores a sufficient amount of detergent for the implementation of a final cleaning program.
- the storage compartment provided according to the invention offers the advantage that an essentially residue-free emptying of cleaning agent is structurally permitted. This is because the cleaning agent stored in the storage compartment is only used when the amount of cleaning agent in the storage chamber is no longer sufficient to carry out a cleaning program. It is therefore ensured that cleaning agent is only removed from the storage compartment when the last cleaning agent program to be properly supplied with cleaning agent from the storage container is carried out. To minimize any residual amount of cleaning agent remaining in the storage container, provision can be made for the storage compartment to be designed in a size that is used to store cleaning agent in an amount that is just insufficient - i.e. only approximately sufficient - for the proper execution of a cleaning program.
- the storage compartment can have a size that is sufficient to be able to store 80% to 90% of the amount of cleaning agent that is required for the implementation of a proper cleaning program.
- the cleaning agent is preferably removed from the storage compartment by moving the storage container in a direction of rotation opposite to the direction of rotation in the case of dosing.
- the cleaning agent retained in the case of dosing is released when the storage container rotates in the opposite direction and can be conveyed into the washing area on the device side via the outlet opening of the storage container.
- the structural design of the storage compartment is, in an advantageous manner, very simple. According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the storage chamber provided by the storage space is separated from the storage compartment by means of a partition. The storage chamber and the storage compartment are in fluidic communication with a passage opening in between.
- the storage container rotates in a twisting movement opposite to the dosing case, so that the cleaning agent retained by the storage compartment follows the weight through the passage opening can fall into the storage chamber adjacent to the storage compartment.
- the supply chamber now contains cleaning agent in an amount that is sufficient for the implementation of a final cleaning program.
- the storage space to have a discharge opening which opens into a metering chamber.
- the dosing chamber is used in a manner known per se to ensure that cleaning agent is always applied in equal portions.
- the planes of the opening cross-sections of the discharge opening on the one hand and the passage opening on the other hand are aligned at an angle to one another while avoiding a direct operative connection. This ensures that when the storage container is rotated in the metering direction, it does not occur in an undesirable manner that cleaning agent trickling out of the storage compartment as a result of a rotating movement of the storage container can reach the discharge opening directly.
- the storage container according to the invention ensures in a structurally simple manner that a cleaning agent reservoir is created so that a final cleaning program with a sufficient amount of cleaning agent can be carried out with regard to the cleaning agent provided overall by the storage container. This also has the advantage that the storage container is largely completely emptied, and the residual amount of cleaning agent remaining in the storage container is therefore minimized.
- the invention also proposes a method for operating a
- Dosing device of a program-controlled cleaning device which has a storage container of the type described above and a motor-driven drive device for the storage container, the drive device accommodating the storage container so that it can be rotated about an axis of rotation, in which the storage container is rotated in the dosing direction by a full revolution in the case of dosing, in the case of a detected underdelivery of detergent the storage container is rotated against the dosing direction.
- the storage container rotates in the dosing direction in normal dosing operation, for example clockwise.
- one full rotation of the storage container takes place for each individual dosing case, that is, a rotating movement of the storage container through 360 °.
- the to-and-fro movement of the storage container is preferably repeated several times, for example at least three times, in particular five times, which leads to an almost complete emptying of the storage container.
- the rotating movement of the storage container takes place through a predetermined angle, preferably from 110 ° to 220 °, more preferably from 160 ° to 200 °, even more preferably from 180 °.
- a back and forth movement over such an angular range ensures that the cleaning agent located in the storage chamber is repeatedly passed through the discharge opening without the risk of cleaning agent being returned to the storage compartment in an undesired manner.
- the underdelivery of cleaning agent is preferably detected by means of a sensor on the cleaning device.
- a sensor on the cleaning device. This is designed, for example, as a light barrier and is designed on the cleaning agent outlet side.
- the sensor can be used to detect whether a sufficient quantity of cleaning agent is being dispensed into the washing area of the cleaning device when it is being dispensed. In this way it can be determined whether there has been a shortage of cleaning agent due to an almost empty storage container.
- the implementation of the method according to the invention offers a further advantage in this context, because in combination with the device-side sensor it can be determined whether there is a blockage of the cleaning agent-carrying channels of the dosing device. If too little detergent or no detergent at all is fed into the washing area in the case of dosing, this is detected on the device side and interpreted as meaning that the storage chamber of the storage container is empty. In the manner already described, the storage container is then rotated against the metering direction in order to release the cleaning agent retained by the storage compartment. If no detergent is then released to the washing compartment again, this is synonymous with the fact that there must be a blockage in the channel system provided by the dosing device for transferring detergent from the storage container into the washing compartment.
- This suspected blockage can be indicated to the user in order to initiate appropriate measures.
- the implementation of the method according to the invention not only allows a dosing of cleaning agent with the advantages already explained above, it is also possible for the first time in combination with a cleaning device-side sensor to be able to directly determine a possible blockage of the dosing device.
- Fig. 1 shows, in a purely schematic representation, a cleaning device 1 according to the invention in the form of a domestic dishwasher.
- the cleaning device 1 has a housing 2 which accommodates a washing container 3.
- the washing compartment 3 in turn provides a washing area 4 for receiving items to be cleaned.
- the washing compartment 3 has a loading opening 5. This can be closed in a fluid-tight manner by means of a washing area door 6, the washing area door 6 being rotatably pivoted about a horizontally extending pivot axis.
- Fig. 2 shows the wash cabinet door 6 in a plan view of the inner door panel 14, that is to say in the direction of view II Fig. 1 .
- the inside of the wash cabinet door 6 has a combination device 9 known per se from the prior art, which is used in a manner known per se, for example, to accommodate detergent, rinse aid and / or the like.
- the cleaning device 1 has a metering device 7.
- This metering device 7 provides a storage container 15 for storing cleaning agent for a plurality of cleaning programs. In the course of intended use, the corresponding amount of cleaning agent is removed from the storage container 15 provided by the dosing device 7 for each wash program cycle and supplied to the washing area 4 of the washing container 3.
- the storage container 15 provided by the metering device 7 is preferably dimensioned in such a way that it can hold cleaning agent in an amount that is sufficient to complete twenty to thirty rinsing processes.
- the metering device 7 has a receptacle 10 which, when the storage container 15 is properly inserted, is closed by means of a pivotable cover 11.
- a cleaning agent outlet 8 is used for discharging the cleaning agent originating from the metering device 7.
- This provides an outlet opening 12 which is covered by a cover 13.
- the cover 13 does not serve to seal the outlet opening 12 in a fluid-tight manner, but rather as a splash guard in order to minimize the penetration of washing solution into the outlet opening 12.
- the cover 13 has webs on the outlet opening side, for example, so that the cover 13 comes to lie at a distance from the edge surrounding the outlet opening 12, with these webs being interposed. This creates an opening gap through which washing liquor can pass into the outlet opening 12, but only in such an amount as is necessary for the cleaning agent located here to be flushed out.
- the storage container 15 is designed to be rotatable by means of a drive device 16, a rotational movement of the storage container 15 about the axis of rotation 17 taking place.
- the drive device 19 has a motor arrangement 18 which drives the storage container 15 in the case of dosing.
- the storage container 15 When used as intended, the storage container 15 performs a 360 ° movement for introducing cleaning agent into the washing area 4. As a result of this twisting movement, cleaning agent provided by the storage container 15 is conveyed out of the storage container 15, the dosing volume provided on the storage container side ensuring that the same amount of dosing is dispensed at all times. The amount of detergent dispensed by the storage container 15 is then dispensed into the washing chamber 4 via the detergent outlet 8.
- a flexible tube 21, also called a discharge tube, is used for the fluidic connection of the cleaning agent outlet 8 and a cleaning agent discharge opening 20 provided by the dosing device 7, as can be seen in particular from the illustration Fig. 3 results.
- the metering device 7 has a cleaning agent channel 19 which opens into the cleaning agent dispensing opening 20.
- the cleaning agent dispensed by the metering device 7 flows through the cleaning agent channel 19 to the cleaning agent dispensing opening 20 on the metering device side.
- a pipe 21 is interposed between the detergent dispensing opening 20 and the detergent outlet 8.
- This tube 21 has two end sections, namely the end section near the cleaning agent outlet 8, which provides a flange 23, and an end section 24 opposite the cleaning agent outlet 8 and is therefore designed to be flexible.
- the tube 21 is designed to be flexible and therefore pivotable.
- Fig. 3 shows the tube 21 in a pivoted position, the so-called metering position, according to which the end section 24 is pivoted in relation to the flange 23 by bending the tube 21.
- the pipe 21 In this position of the pipe 21, the pipe 21 is fluidically connected to the detergent dispensing opening 20 of the detergent channel 19, which is why it is in its so-called metering position, because in this position of the pipe 21 from the storage container 15, detergent 36 dispensed from the pipe 21 to the detergent outlet 8 can be conveyed will.
- the above-described pivoting movement also occurs of the pipe 21.
- a holder 26 in the form of, for example, a pipe clamp or clamp is used.
- This holder 26 surrounds the metering device-side end section 24 of the tube 21 in the manner of a ring and serves as a connecting element between the lever 25 on the one hand and the tube 21 on the other.
- the lever 25 acts on the holder 26 and thus also on the end section 24 of the tube 21 caught by it.
- the pipe inlet opening of the pipe 21 can be closed by means of a closure cover 27.
- This closure cover 27 is arranged pivotably on the lever 25, a cam device arranged between the lever 25 and the closure cover 27 ensuring that pivoting of the lever 25 also leads to a pivoting of the closure cover 27 in such a way that the tube 21 is not -Dosing position closed and in its in Fig. 3 dispensing position shown is open.
- the storage container 15 is its configuration according to the invention in the Figures 4 to 15 shown, the Figures 5 to 15 show different positions of the storage container 15 in the course of carrying out a method according to the invention.
- the storage container 15 has a base body 28 which provides a storage space 29.
- the storage space 29 opens via a discharge opening 35 into a metering chamber 34, which metering chamber 34 provides the appropriate metering geometry for detergent metering.
- the storage space 29 is for its part divided into a storage chamber 31 on the one hand and a storage compartment 30 on the other hand.
- the storage compartment 30 and the storage chamber 31 are separated from one another by means of a partition 32.
- the storage compartment 30 and the storage chamber 31 are in fluidic communication.
- the storage container 15 rotates around an axis of rotation 17 through 360 ° in the manner described above. As a result of this twisting movement, such an amount of cleaning agent is retained by the storage compartment 30 that is sufficient for the implementation of a cleaning program.
- the exact procedure results from the other Figures 5 to 15 .
- Fig. 5 shows the storage container 15 in an initial situation.
- the cleaning agent 36 accommodated by the storage space 29 is located exclusively in the storage chamber 31 provided by the storage space 29 Cleaning program is sufficient.
- the storage container When a dosing process is initiated, the storage container is rotated in the dosing direction 37, in the exemplary embodiment shown, clockwise.
- Fig. 11 a rotational movement of the storage container 15 in the opposite direction 38, that is, opposite to the metering direction 37.
- the cleaning agent 36 is brought to the discharge opening 35.
- Fig. 14 there is then another reversal of movement, that is to say the storage container 15 is now moved in the metering direction 37 again.
- the cleaning agent 36 reaches the metering chamber 34 via the discharge opening 35, from where it is then conveyed into the washing chamber 4.
- Fig. 15 results, a residue 39 of cleaning agent 36 can remain in the storage container 15.
- the movement steps 11 to 15 are carried out repeatedly, for example five times, so that the storage container 15 moves back and forth with the result that the cleaning agent 36 is completely discharged.

Description
The invention relates to a storage container for arrangement in a dosing device of a program-controlled cleaning device, in particular a household dishwasher, with a base body providing a storage space for detergents, the storage space having a size that serves to store powdered cleaning agent in an amount that is necessary for carrying out a Majority of cleaning programs is sufficient.
Program-controlled cleaning devices in general and household dishwashers in particular are well known per se from the prior art, which is why a separate documentary proof is not required at this point.
Cleaning devices of the type in question typically have a washing container that provides a washing area. This washing area is accessible to the user via a loading opening which can be closed in a fluid-tight manner by means of a pivoting washing area door. When used as intended, the washing container serves to hold items to be cleaned, which in the case of a domestic dishwasher can be, for example, dishes, cutlery and / or the like.
The cleaning device has a spray device in the interior of the washing container for the application of washing liquid, the so-called washing liquor, to the items to be cleaned. As a rule, this spray device provides rotatably mounted spray arms, two or three such spray arms typically being provided. When used as intended, the items to be cleaned are exposed to washing liquor by means of rotating spray arms.
To achieve an optimized cleaning result, use is made of process chemicals that are supplied to the washing area during a cleaning process, in particular as an addition to the washing liquor. Process chemicals of this type can, for example, be cleaning agents that are used in the washing area of the cleaning device can be added under program control at a specific point in time of a running cleaning program.
Cleaning agents in liquid and solid form are known from the prior art. Solid cleaning agents can be in pourable powder form or as so-called tabs, i.e. in tablet form. Practice has shown, however, that the best cleaning results can be achieved with pourable cleaning agents in powder form.
When using free-flowing cleaning agents in powder form, the user must manually dose the cleaning agent before starting a cleaning program. For this purpose, a cleaning device typically has a storage container on the inside of the door, which is to be filled with a manually determined amount of cleaning agent. While a cleaning program is running, this storage container opens at a certain point in time of the washing program and the cleaning agent stored in the storage container can be flushed out by the washing liquor located in the washing area of the cleaning device.
The dosing devices known from the prior art have an exchangeably arranged storage container which is used to store cleaning agent in an amount that is sufficient for a plurality of cleaning programs. The storage container is mounted so that it can rotate about an axis of rotation, a rotational movement of the storage container being effected in a program-controlled manner in the case of the intended dosing. For this purpose, a motor-driven drive device is provided, by means of which a rotational movement of the storage container is carried out during operation.
The storage container has an outlet opening for the purpose of dispensing cleaning agent.
The storage container used according to the known metering device has a base body which provides a storage space. This storage space is used to accommodate powdery cleaning agent, the storage space being of such a size that cleaning agent can be stored in an amount that is sufficient for carrying out a plurality of cleaning programs.
Although storage containers known from the prior art have proven themselves in everyday practical use, there is a need for improvement, especially with regard to residue-free emptying, because previously known storage container designs have the disadvantage that they cannot be completely emptied, i.e. always a residual amount of cleaning agent remains in the reservoir. This is particularly disadvantageous in the case of disposable storage containers.
Starting from this, the object of the invention is to propose a storage container for arrangement in a metering device of a program-controlled cleaning device, which, due to the design, allows the cleaning agent to be emptied with as little residue as possible. In particular, however, underdosing should be avoided.
To achieve this object, the invention proposes a storage container with the features of claim 1.
According to the invention, the storage space provided by the storage container has a storage compartment. The storage space is therefore divided into the storage compartment on the one hand and the remaining part of the treatment room, the so-called storage chamber, on the other hand.
In the case of proper dosing, the storage compartment always receives a such amount of detergent is retained that is sufficient for the implementation of a final cleaning program.
The inventive design of a storage compartment is advantageous for several reasons. In this respect, the storage compartment serves as a detergent reservoir that stores a sufficient amount of detergent for the implementation of a final cleaning program.
Last but not least, the storage compartment provided according to the invention offers the advantage that an essentially residue-free emptying of cleaning agent is structurally permitted. Together with the residual amount of cleaning agent in the storage chamber, there is then a sufficient amount of cleaning agent for the proper execution of a cleaning program. For example, the storage compartment can have a size that is sufficient to be able to store 80% to 90% of the amount of cleaning agent that is required for the implementation of a proper cleaning program.
The cleaning agent is preferably removed from the storage compartment by moving the storage container in a direction of rotation opposite to the direction of rotation in the case of dosing. The cleaning agent retained in the case of dosing is released when the storage container rotates in the opposite direction and can be conveyed into the washing area on the device side via the outlet opening of the storage container.
The structural design of the storage compartment is, in an advantageous manner, very simple. According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the storage chamber provided by the storage space is separated from the storage compartment by means of a partition. The storage chamber and the storage compartment are in fluidic communication with a passage opening in between.
When the storage container rotates during dosing, part of the amount of cleaning agent stored in the storage space falls, following gravity, into the part of the storage space separated from the partition, i.e. into the so-called storage compartment. This holds back the cleaning agent in the further course of the twisting movement of the storage container, so that it is not available for dosing into the washing area of the cleaning device.
If, within the scope of an intended dosing case, it is found that the amount of detergent dispensed by the storage container is not sufficient to carry out a proper cleaning program, the storage container rotates in a twisting movement opposite to the dosing case, so that the cleaning agent retained by the storage compartment follows the weight through the passage opening can fall into the storage chamber adjacent to the storage compartment. The supply chamber now contains cleaning agent in an amount that is sufficient for the implementation of a final cleaning program. As soon as the Storage chamber is emptied by removing the cleaning agent, the user of the cleaning device can advantageously be shown that the storage container has been completely emptied, so that the storage container can be refilled or replaced with a fully filled storage container.
According to a further feature of the invention, provision is made for the storage space to have a discharge opening which opens into a metering chamber. The dosing chamber is used in a manner known per se to ensure that cleaning agent is always applied in equal portions. According to the invention, it is now provided that the planes of the opening cross-sections of the discharge opening on the one hand and the passage opening on the other hand are aligned at an angle to one another while avoiding a direct operative connection. This ensures that when the storage container is rotated in the metering direction, it does not occur in an undesirable manner that cleaning agent trickling out of the storage compartment as a result of a rotating movement of the storage container can reach the discharge opening directly. When the storage container is rotated in the dosing direction, cleaning agent from the storage compartment falls much more next to the discharge opening, so that cleaning agent retained by the storage compartment is not unintentionally discharged from the storage container when the storage container is rotated in the dosing direction. Only with a twisting movement of the storage container against the dosing direction can the cleaning agent from the storage compartment, which previously fell next to the discharge opening, be brought to the discharge opening and from there into the washing area on the device side.
The storage container according to the invention ensures in a structurally simple manner that a cleaning agent reservoir is created so that a final cleaning program with a sufficient amount of cleaning agent can be carried out with regard to the cleaning agent provided overall by the storage container. This also has the advantage that the storage container is largely completely emptied, and the residual amount of cleaning agent remaining in the storage container is therefore minimized.
Dosing device of a program-controlled cleaning device, which has a storage container of the type described above and a motor-driven drive device for the storage container, the drive device accommodating the storage container so that it can be rotated about an axis of rotation, in which the storage container is rotated in the dosing direction by a full revolution in the case of dosing, in the case of a detected underdelivery of detergent the storage container is rotated against the dosing direction.
According to the invention, it is provided that the storage container rotates in the dosing direction in normal dosing operation, for example clockwise. In this case, one full rotation of the storage container takes place for each individual dosing case, that is, a rotating movement of the storage container through 360 °.
With each complete rotation of the storage container, a certain proportion of the cleaning agent stored in the storage container is skimmed off by the partition wall provided according to the invention in the storage container by being absorbed by the separated part of the storage space, the so-called storage compartment. In the course of a further twisting movement of the storage container in the metering direction, a certain part of this retained amount of detergent is released again, depending on the fill level, but only at such a turning position of the storage container for which the dispensing process has already been completed. Cleaning agent received back from the storage compartment can therefore not get into the dosing chamber of the storage container via the discharge opening of the storage space in the event of a twisting movement of the storage container in the dosing direction.
If, in the case of dosing, there is now a shortage of detergent, the rotating movement of the storage container is reversed, that is, it is rotated against the dosing direction. As a result, the cleaning agent received back from the storage compartment can get into the storage chamber of the storage container, from where it is then discharged together with the remaining amount of cleaning agent in the storage chamber in the direction of the appliance-side washing area.
With the aim of emptying the storage container as completely as possible, it will According to a further preferred feature of the invention, in the case of a detected underdelivery of cleaning agent from an initial position, rotated counter to the metering direction by a predetermined angle and then back in the metering direction to its initial position, or rotated by a further predetermined angle beyond the initial position. There is a back and forth movement of the storage container, as a result of which the cleaning agent located in the storage chamber is passed at least twice over the discharge opening, whereby the residual amount of cleaning agent remaining in the storage container is minimized.
The to-and-fro movement of the storage container is preferably repeated several times, for example at least three times, in particular five times, which leads to an almost complete emptying of the storage container.
The rotating movement of the storage container takes place through a predetermined angle, preferably from 110 ° to 220 °, more preferably from 160 ° to 200 °, even more preferably from 180 °. A back and forth movement over such an angular range ensures that the cleaning agent located in the storage chamber is repeatedly passed through the discharge opening without the risk of cleaning agent being returned to the storage compartment in an undesired manner.
According to a further feature of the invention, the underdelivery of cleaning agent is preferably detected by means of a sensor on the cleaning device. This is designed, for example, as a light barrier and is designed on the cleaning agent outlet side. The sensor can be used to detect whether a sufficient quantity of cleaning agent is being dispensed into the washing area of the cleaning device when it is being dispensed. In this way it can be determined whether there has been a shortage of cleaning agent due to an almost empty storage container. If so, a twisting movement of the storage container against the dosing direction is caused in the manner described above, so that the cleaning agent received back from the storage compartment can be fed back into the washing area, whereby a sufficient amount of cleaning agent is then brought into the washing area to be able to carry out a final, proper cleaning program.
The implementation of the method according to the invention offers a further advantage in this context, because in combination with the device-side sensor it can be determined whether there is a blockage of the cleaning agent-carrying channels of the dosing device. This suspected blockage can be indicated to the user in order to initiate appropriate measures. Thus, the implementation of the method according to the invention not only allows a dosing of cleaning agent with the advantages already explained above, it is also possible for the first time in combination with a cleaning device-side sensor to be able to directly determine a possible blockage of the dosing device.
