Claims (12)

  1. Eine Schmiermittelformulierung, beinhaltend:
    a. mehr als 50 Gewichtsprozent Kohlenwasserstoffbasisöl;
    b. 5 Gewichtsprozent oder mehr und weniger als 50 Gewichtsprozent von einem oder einer Kombination von mehr als einem öllöslichen Polyalkylenglycol, ausgewählt aus einer Gruppe, bestehend aus monol-, diol- und triolinitiierten 1,2-Butylenoxidhomopolymeren und monolinitiierten Copolymeren von 1,2-Butylenoxid und Propylenoxid;
    c. 0,1 Gewichtsprozent oder mehr und 5 Gewichtsprozent oder weniger sulfuriertes Olefin; und
    d. 0,1 Gewichtsprozent oder mehr und 2 Gewichtsprozent oder weniger Phosphatester;
    wobei das Gewichtsprozent der Bestandteile a.-d. auf das Gesamtgewicht der Schmiermittelformulierung bezogen ist.
  2. Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei das öllösliche Polyalkylenglycol ausgewählt ist aus einer Gruppe, bestehend aus monolinitiierten 1,2-Butylenoxidhomopolymeren, diolinitiierten 1,2-Butylenoxidhomopolymeren und monolinitiierten statistischen Copolymeren von 1,2-Butylenoxid und Propylenoxid.
  3. Schmiermittel gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei das öllösliche Polyalkylenglycol ein dodecanolinitiiertes statistisches Copolymer von 1,2-Butylenoxid und Propylenoxid ist.
  4. Schmiermittel gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei das öllösliche Polyalkylenglycol ein butanolinitiiertes Homopolymer von 1,2-Butylenoxid ist.
  5. Schmiermittel gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei das öllösliche Polyalkylenglycol ein diolinitiiertes Homopolymer von 1,2-Butylenoxid ist.
  6. Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei das Kohlenwasserstoffbasisöl ausgewählt ist aus Gruppe II-, III- und Gruppe IV-Basisölen.
  7. Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei das sulfurierte Olefin sulfuriertes Isobutylen ist.
  8. Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei die Konzentration von öllöslichem Polyalkylenglycol fünf Gewichtsprozent oder mehr und 30 Gewichtsprozent oder weniger beträgt, wobei das Gewichtsprozent auf das Gesamtgewicht der Schmiermittelformulierung bezogen ist.
  9. Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie frei ist von sulfuriertem Fettöl.
  10. Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß einem vorhergehenden Anspruch, ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Formulierung weniger als 75 Gewichtsprozent Polyalphaolefinbasisöl, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht der Schmiermittelformulierung, enthält.
  11. Verfahren zum Steigern von Verschleißschutzleistung, ohne Verringern von Extremdruckleistung, einer Schmiermittelformulierung, die ein Kohlenwasserstoffbasisöl, einen sulfurierten Isobutylen-Extremdruckzusatzstoff und einen Phosphatester-Verschleißschutzzusatzstoff enthält, wobei das Verfahren beinhaltet, ein öllösliches Polyalkylenglycol, ausgewählt aus einer Gruppe, bestehend aus monol-, diol- und triolinitiierten 1,2-Butylenoxidhomopolymeren und monolinitiierten Copolymeren von 1,2-Butylenoxid und Propylenoxid in die Schmiermittelformulierung einzuschließen, um so die Schmiermittelformulierung gemäß Anspruch 1 zu erhalten.
  12. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 11, wobei das öllösliche Polyalkylenglycol ausgewählt ist aus einer Gruppe, bestehend aus monolinitiierten 1,2-Butylenoxidhomopolymeren, diolinitiierten 1,2-Butylenoxidhomopolymeren und monolinitiierten statistischen Copolymeren von 1,2-Butylenoxid und Propylenoxid.
