Claims (13)

  1. Device (1) for protecting the base of a wall (3) at the junction between the latter and a floor (4), comprising at least one baseboard (2) comprising a hard, one-piece profile (21) having at least one smooth front face (22), and two flexible lips (23, 24) coming from said front face (22) and extending in an inclined manner in the direction of the rear face (25) of said profile (21) along the upper and lower longitudinal edge, respectively, of said profile (21), and complementary sealing means (6) fastened onto said rear face (25) and comprising strips of foam,
    said protective device (1) being characterised in that it comprises:
    - elastically deformable fastening means (5) fastened onto said rear face (25) and arranged to provide the fastening of the baseboard (2) along the base of the wall (3), and allowing, on the one hand, to mechanically absorb the shocks and thus limit the deteriorations on said front face (22) and, on the other hand, to absorb the irregularities of said wall (3),
    said fastening means (5) comprising strips of foam.
  2. Protective device (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the front face (22) of the profile (21) does not comprise a sharp angle and in that the flexible lips (23, 24) are such that their respective front face (231, 241) extends as a continuation of said front face (22).
  3. Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that said fastening (5) and complementary sealing means (6) are strips of foam having closed cells.
  4. Protective device (1) according to claim 3, characterised in that the fastening means (5) comprise a strip of foam (51) provided with an adhesive on each of its two vertical longitudinal faces (52, 53) and glued onto the upper portion of the vertical portion (251) of the rear face (25) of the profile (21) thanks to the adhesive of the vertical longitudinal face (52) of the strip of foam (51), the adhesive placed on of the vertical longitudinal face (53) of the strip of foam (51) allowing the fastening of the baseboard (2) onto the base of the wall (3).
  5. Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 3 or 4, characterised in that said complementary sealing means (6) comprise:
    - a first strip of foam (61) provided with an adhesive on one (62) of its vertical longitudinal faces and glued onto the lower portion of said vertical portion (251) of the rear face (25),
    - a second strip of foam (63) provided with an adhesive on one (64) of its horizontal longitudinal faces and glued onto the horizontal portion (252) of the rear face (26) of the profile (21).
  6. Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 4 and 5, characterised in that the strip of foam (51) and the first and second strip of foam (61, 63) completely cover the rear face (25) of the baseboard (2) .
  7. Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, comprising at least one connector (7) disposed at at least one of the longitudinal ends of a baseboard (2) or at the junction between two longitudinally adjacent baseboards (2), characterised in that said connector (7) comprises a support (8) arranged to be fastened at the base of a wall (3) and capable of receiving one of the longitudinal ends of a baseboard (2) or the longitudinal ends of the two longitudinally adjacent baseboards (2), and a one-piece covering element (9), clipped onto said support (8) and provided with a central portion (91) and with a peripheral flexible lip (92) disposed along the entire periphery of said central portion (91), said covering element (9) being wider than the support (8).
  8. Protective device (1) according to claim 7, characterised in that said central portion (91) has at least one smooth front face (93), and in that the flexible lip (92) comes from said front face (93) and extends in an inclined manner in the direction of the rear face (94) of said central portion (91).
  9. Protective device (1) according to claim 8, characterised in that said flexible lip (92) is such that its front face (921) extends as a continuation of the front face (22) of the central portion (91).
  10. Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 7 to 9, characterised in that said support (8) comprises a body (81) provided with at least a plurality of first orifices (82) capable of cooperating with suitable fastening members in order to allow the fastening of said support (8) at the base of the wall (3), and a plurality of second orifices (83) each having at least one elastically deformable zone (84).
  11. Protective device (1) according to any one of claims 7 to 10, characterised in that the covering element (9) comprises a plurality of attachment members (95) protruding from the rear face (94) of said central portion (91), each attachment member (95) being capable of cooperating with one of the second orifices (83) of the support (8).
  12. Protective device (1) according to claims 10 and 11, characterised in that each attachment member (95) comprises retaining means (96) disposed in such a way as to be in contact, when the covering element (9) is clipped onto the support (8), with the edge of the second orifice (83) opposite to the one comprising the deformable zone (84).
  13. Protective device (1) according to claim 12, characterised in that the retaining means (96) comprise a plurality of elastically flexible fins coming from one of the sides of said attachment member (95) and inclined in the direction of rear face (94) of said central portion (91).
