Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bearbeiten eines Gewässergrundes und eine Reinigungsvorrichtung zum Reinigen eines Unterwasser-Bodenbearbeitungsgeräts (20). Die Reinigungsvorrichtung weist dabei einen Umschließungskörper (40), welche sich im Wesentlichen von einem Gewässergrund (5) bis oberhalb der Gewässeroberfläche (7) erstreckt und einen Innenraum umschließt, entlang welchem das Bodenbearbeitungsgerät (20) verstellbar ist, und eine Trenneinrichtung (32) auf, durch welche in dem Umschließungskörper (40) ein oberer Abschnitt des Innenraums (34) zum Bilden eines Reinigungsbereichs (42) abtrennbar ist, in welchem das Bodenbearbeitungsgerät (20) aufnehmbar und von Verschmutzungen zu reinigen ist.
