Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of so-called pocket sliding doors and in particular to adaptations making it possible to associate said doors under the best conditions with the walls which receive them.
- a pocket is a frame incorporated in a partition which allows the sliding door panel to disappear into the wall when the door is opened.
- This frame comprises a metal structure containing one or more rails and a guide on the ground.
- the sliding door disclosed in the document FR2980509 was remarkable in that one or more fins were projected from said section, on either side of the axis of movement of the carriage, to come to be fixed to the wall on the one hand and to accommodate a removable panel. facade cladding on the other hand.
- This rail also had the advantage of facilitating the installation of the rail covering.
- This sliding door device comprises a rail, a door panel and trim panels, said rail being placed on the surface above a door opening made in a wall wall, said door panel being partly equipped upper of at least one guide carriage in translation, said guide carriage cooperating with said rail, said rail being preformed to receive said covering panels which come to bind thereto.
- said trim panels are dimensioned and preformed on the one hand to create, between the wall and the rear face of the trim panels, a volume for accommodating said door panel in the open position and on the other hand to occupy the entire height of the wall on which they are installed.
- the pocket is positioned applied on the wall like the rail. Thanks to the invention, it is no longer necessary to arrange the interior volume of the wall or to create a new wall to accommodate the sliding door panel and to obtain the aesthetics of a pocket door.
- the possibilities of integrating this type of door are increased and can now relate to renovation without destroying the wall.
- aesthetics are optimized by dressing not only the reception volume of the door panel in the open position but also the wall surface. located between the rail and the ceiling.
- the device of the invention thus has all the advantages of a sliding pocket door but without its drawbacks.
- the device comprises an additional connecting profile which is fixed to said rail and which is preformed to provide two vertical coplanar projections, one oriented upward and the other oriented downward on which engage the edges of one or more trim panels, the upward-facing projection accommodating one or more upper trim panels and the downward-facing projection accommodating one or more lower trim panels.
- This characteristic makes it possible to facilitate the connection between the rail and the covering panels by creating a mechanical interface between the rail and the panels. It avoids a direct connection between the rail and the panels and allows to have a connection depth greater than the thickness of the covering panels. Such a connection also prevents any detachment of the panels in the event of horizontal stress.
- said additional connecting profile comprises a vertical central part, the front face of which serves as a bearing surface for the rear vertical face of the upper covering panel engaged on the vertical projection oriented towards the top.
- said additional connecting profile is preformed so as to position the connection between the edges of the covering panels at a height lower than that of said rail on the wall.
- said additional connecting profile adopts a profile comprising a central flat vertical part having on its rear face, a preformation allowing its connection with the rail and on its front face, a preformation allowing its connection with the panels. lower and upper cladding.
- connection of the connecting profile to the rail and that to the covering panels have been the subject of a specific study to be optimized.
- the thinner part facilitates the insertion of the projection into the groove and allows good positioning before the maintenance in position achieved by the insertion of the rib into the groove.
- the rail is preformed with projections allowing the additional connecting profile to come and fix to it, these fixing projections of the additional connecting profile having the same preformation as those intended for the reception. covering panels on the additional connecting profile.
- This characteristic has the particular advantage of allowing said rail to directly accommodate covering panels with the advantages of this preformation.
- This direct reception where the rail is the only wall-mounted installation without housing / pocket for the door panel, is known and in particular described in the patent. FR2980509 .
- another technical advantage of the additional connecting profile of the invention is to allow, on the basis of a rail such as that known from said patent FR2980509 , the optimized installation of cover panels (for the purpose of creating a wall-mounted pocket) without them having a height greater than that of the door panel.
- the same rail can thus be used for both configurations (covering of the surface-mounted rail alone and creation of a surface-mounted pocket).
- the fixing is optimized by the new preformation of the fixing projections preformed in the rail.
- the device In addition to the covering and the reception of the covering panels, the device has also been the subject of a study concerning the damping of the opening stroke of the door panel.
- the device comprises a module for damping the travel of the carriage which is housed in the rail, said carriage comprising at least one wheel.
- said damping module comprises a body, one face of which serves as a stop the travel of the carriage, said face being equipped with an elastic projection projecting onto the path of movement of said carriage, said projection being preformed with a concave volume taking up the outer diameter of the wheel for reception purposes so that at the end of its travel, said wheel deforms the projection by being braked and then is retained in said concave volume.
- Such a characteristic ensures the braking of the race and the creation of a retained position of the opening limit switch by retaining at least one wheel of the carriage.
- the sliding door device referenced D as a whole comprises a door panel 100 sliding horizontally according to the double arrow F1 to control the opening O made in the wall P.
- This door panel 100 retracts into a housing 200 (cf. . figure 2 ) vertical defined on the wall P and not in the wall as in a conventional pocket.
- This housing 200 comprises covering panels generally referenced 300 which, arranged spaced apart from the wall P, define a volume for accommodating said door panel 100.
- trim panels 300 also dress the wall surface P separating the top of the door panel 100 and the ceiling by slightly covering the top of the door panel 100.
- the covering panels also cover the vertical surface located at the level of the tap serving as the closing limit stop for the door panel 100.
- the device D comprises a horizontal rail 400 from which the upper part of the door panel 100 is suspended.
- a lower rail 500 guides the lower part of the door panel 100.
- This lower rail 500 is housed between the casing 300 and the wall P. It is dimensioned so as to remain invisible and not to constitute an obstacle in the wall. opening O.
- the next step illustrated in the drawing of the figure 3 concerns the installation of two lower vertical cladding panels for the facade 330a and 330b as well as the typed 340.
- a single lower panel constitutes the front of the reception volume of the door panel 100.
- an additional connecting profile 600 is then installed to connect the upper edge of the vertical lower panel 330a with the rail 400.
- an upper vertical facade cladding panel 350 is installed in the same vertical plane as the lower panels 330a and 330b and fills the wall surface P left free between the lower panels 330a and 330b and the ceiling (not shown) that joins the wall P.
- a vertical lateral facade panel 360 is installed in order to cover the wall surface delimited between the upright 320 and the tap 340.
- the connecting profile 600 is preformed to ensure the junction between the upper edge 331 of the lower panel 330b and the lower edge 351 of the upper panel 350 while connecting said panels to the rail 400.
- a covering profile covers the connecting profile in the absence of a lower panel (above the opening O).
- the additional connecting profile 600 is a linear profile which adopts a profile in several parts including a central flat vertical part 610 having, on its rear face, a preformation 620 allowing its connection with the rail 400 and, on its front face, a preformation 630 allowing its connection with the lower and upper trim panels.
- the preformation 620 for connection with the rail 400 comprises two symmetrical horizontal projections 621 and 622 with one end adopting a sloping profile allowing the elastic deformation of the projection and the maintenance in position. As illustrated, these projections are positioned on the rear face of the central flat vertical part so that said rear face serves as a mechanical end-of-travel stop. the engagement of the projections 621 and 622 on the projections preformed in the rail 400 and which will be described below.
- the preformation 630 for connection with the covering panels comprises two vertical coplanar projections with one 631 oriented upward and the other 632 oriented downward and on which the edges 351 and 331 of the vertical panels engage. 'respectively upper 350 and lower 330a and 330b cladding. These two vertical projections 631 and 632 come from the edge of a horizontal flat part 640 projecting from the front face of the vertical flat part 610.
- Said edges 351 and 331 are each preformed with a vertical groove 352 and 332 of U-shaped profile each accommodating a projection 631 and 632 respectively.
- projections 631 and 632 adopt a flat profile, the two faces of which have, at their middle zone, a rib 633.
- This rib 633 provides sufficient brake to allow a tight fit between the projection and the groove.
- the lower thickness portion of the projection on which the groove first engages allows a first phase of easy positioning of the panel before maintaining it in position proper by continuing the engagement of the groove on the ribbed projection.
- the front face of the vertical central part 610 of the connecting profile 600 serves as a bearing surface for the rear vertical face of the upper trim panel 350.
- said connecting profile 600 is preformed so as to position the connection between the edges of the vertical panels 350, 330a and 330b at a height less than that of said rail 400.
- this technical characteristic has the consequence that the trim panels do not have a height greater than that of the door panel.
- the uprights 310 and 320 are designed in two parts to prevent their length from exceeding the height of the door panel.
- said additional connecting profile as well as the rail are made of extruded aluminum (or aluminum alloy).
- the rail 400 is formed by an assembly of preformed sections to serve as a running surface for one or more carriages 700 from which said door panel 100 is suspended.
- the assembly forms a substantially square hollow core 410 in which the said one or more moves move.
- trolleys 700 The lower face of this square section 410 is provided with a slot 411 allowing studs 710 to connect said trolley or trolleys 700 to the door panel 100.
- Two fins project on each side of this core 410 on both sides other of the axis of movement of said carriage 700.
- the two fins 421 and 422 projecting towards the wall P are preformed at an angle to participate in the fixing of the rail 400 to the wall.
- the two fins 431 and 432 projecting away from the wall P are preformed to offer male shapes to which are adapted, for the purposes of removable connection of the friction fixing type, either the additional connecting profile 600 as illustrated. on the drawing of the figure 5 , or a panel and trim panels as illustrated in the drawing of the figure 11 when the rail is only dressed without being associated with the covering panels forming a reception volume for the door panel.
- FIG. 9 and 10 illustrate a module 800 for damping the stroke of the carriage 700 and therefore of the door panel 100.
- This damping module 800 is housed at one end of the hollow core 410 of the rail 400. It comprises a body 810 in which it is located. translates one end of a rod, the other end 820 of which projects out of the body.
- This rod is associated with an elastic damping means such as gas or a spring (not shown).
- the carriage 700 comes into abutment against this projecting end 820 during the opening limit switch of the door panel 100. The limit switch is thus damped.
- the face of the body from which the rod end 820 projects is furthermore equipped with an elastic projection 830 projecting onto the path of movement of said carriage 700 upstream of the contact offered by said projecting end 820.
- This projection 830 is preformed with a concave volume 831 taking the outside diameter of the wheel 720 of the carriage 700 for reception purposes, so that at the end of its travel, said wheel 720 deforms the projection 830 by being braked and then is retained in said concave volume 831.

Description
The present invention relates to the field of so-called pocket sliding doors and in particular to adaptations making it possible to associate said doors under the best conditions with the walls which receive them.
Conventionally, a pocket is a frame incorporated in a partition which allows the sliding door panel to disappear into the wall when the door is opened. This frame comprises a metal structure containing one or more rails and a guide on the ground. Such a configuration avoids the drawbacks of a rotary hinged door which requires keeping free on one side of the opening, a substantial volume to allow opening.
It is nevertheless difficult to integrate a pocket door in a wall wall if the house is not under construction or if the destruction of the existing wall is not accepted.
- a sliding door panel, the upper part of which is linked to a guide block which is fixed to the wall and comprising,
- a profile forming a guide rail and preformed to serve as running surfaces for one or more carriages from which said door panel is suspended. A similar sliding door is disclosed in the document
- remove the old door leaf and possibly its hinges,
- install the rail above the old frame,
- attach carriages to the upper part of the old leaf or a new one,
- engage the carriages in the rail.
This rail also had the advantage of facilitating the installation of the rail covering.
However, such a technical solution does not make it possible to obtain the aesthetic effect of a pocket door where the door panel disappears into the partition or the wall.
Based on this state of affairs, the Applicant has carried out research aimed at proposing a technical solution for a sliding door combining the advantages of an overlay rail with those of a pocket door. This research has resulted in the design and production of a new sliding door device making it possible to obviate the aforementioned drawbacks. This sliding door device comprises a rail, a door panel and trim panels, said rail being placed on the surface above a door opening made in a wall wall, said door panel being partly equipped upper of at least one guide carriage in translation, said guide carriage cooperating with said rail, said rail being preformed to receive said covering panels which come to bind thereto. It is remarkable in that said trim panels are dimensioned and preformed on the one hand to create, between the wall and the rear face of the trim panels, a volume for accommodating said door panel in the open position and on the other hand to occupy the entire height of the wall on which they are installed. Thus, the pocket is positioned applied on the wall like the rail. Thanks to the invention, it is no longer necessary to arrange the interior volume of the wall or to create a new wall to accommodate the sliding door panel and to obtain the aesthetics of a pocket door. The possibilities of integrating this type of door are increased and can now relate to renovation without destroying the wall. In addition, aesthetics are optimized by dressing not only the reception volume of the door panel in the open position but also the wall surface. located between the rail and the ceiling. Beyond the aesthetics, it is no longer necessary to leave a free space to allow the translation of the door panel since the covering protects the race. It is therefore possible to use the surface or the volume around the covering without hindering the operation of the device. The device of the invention thus has all the advantages of a sliding pocket door but without its drawbacks.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the device comprises an additional connecting profile which is fixed to said rail and which is preformed to provide two vertical coplanar projections, one oriented upward and the other oriented downward on which engage the edges of one or more trim panels, the upward-facing projection accommodating one or more upper trim panels and the downward-facing projection accommodating one or more lower trim panels. This characteristic makes it possible to facilitate the connection between the rail and the covering panels by creating a mechanical interface between the rail and the panels. It avoids a direct connection between the rail and the panels and allows to have a connection depth greater than the thickness of the covering panels. Such a connection also prevents any detachment of the panels in the event of horizontal stress.
In addition, the connecting profile will be able to be preformed to not only provide retaining surfaces but also positioning surfaces for the panels. Thus, according to a particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, said additional connecting profile comprises a vertical central part, the front face of which serves as a bearing surface for the rear vertical face of the upper covering panel engaged on the vertical projection oriented towards the top.
According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, said additional connecting profile is preformed so as to position the connection between the edges of the covering panels at a height lower than that of said rail on the wall. Indeed, another advantage of the use of a connecting profile inserted between the rail and the panels lies in the makes it possible to define the height of the junction line between the upper panels and the lower panels. Such a height offset prevents the lower trim panels from having a height greater than that of the door panel, which facilitates the logistics (packaging, handling) of the device.
- an upper rail,
- an additional connecting profile,
- at least one lower trim panel,
- at least one top cover panel,
- amounts in several parts.
According to a more precise characteristic, said additional connecting profile adopts a profile comprising a central flat vertical part having on its rear face, a preformation allowing its connection with the rail and on its front face, a preformation allowing its connection with the panels. lower and upper cladding.
The connection of the connecting profile to the rail and that to the covering panels have been the subject of a specific study to be optimized.
- for the additional connecting profile, by preforming the vertical projections so that the vertical projections form a flat projection ribbed on at least one face, the rib being positioned on a middle part of the flat projection so as to define a part thinner on either side of the rib, and
- for covering panels, by preforming a groove adopting a U-shaped profile of the edge of the panels, groove engaging the ribbed vertical projection for fixing purposes.
The thinner part facilitates the insertion of the projection into the groove and allows good positioning before the maintenance in position achieved by the insertion of the rib into the groove.
According to another particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, the rail is preformed with projections allowing the additional connecting profile to come and fix to it, these fixing projections of the additional connecting profile having the same preformation as those intended for the reception. covering panels on the additional connecting profile.
In addition to the covering and the reception of the covering panels, the device has also been the subject of a study concerning the damping of the opening stroke of the door panel.
As conventionally, the device comprises a module for damping the travel of the carriage which is housed in the rail, said carriage comprising at least one wheel. According to a particularly advantageous characteristic of the invention, said damping module comprises a body, one face of which serves as a stop the travel of the carriage, said face being equipped with an elastic projection projecting onto the path of movement of said carriage,
said projection being preformed with a concave volume taking up the outer diameter of the wheel for reception purposes so that at the end of its travel, said wheel deforms the projection by being braked and then is retained in said concave volume.
Such a characteristic ensures the braking of the race and the creation of a retained position of the opening limit switch by retaining at least one wheel of the carriage.
The fundamental concepts of the invention having just been explained above in their most elementary form, other details and characteristics will emerge more clearly on reading the following description and with reference to the appended drawings, giving by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of a sliding door device according to the invention.

According to the illustrated embodiment, the
