Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Steckverbinder gemäß Anspruch 1.The invention relates to a connector according to claim 1.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

For example, a connector with a secondary lock goes out of the DE 20 2006 010 308 U1 emerged. In this connector, which has at least one contact element arranged in a connector base element, at least one is in the contact element transversely to the plug-in direction arranged secondary locking recess is provided, in which a locking cam of a secondary locking element engages in the locking position of the secondary locking element. The contact element is designed as a spring contact element. For fastening in the housing, it is provided that a latching hook is arranged in a U-shaped connecting plate connecting the two spring contacts, said latching hook engaging in a corresponding latching opening in the housing. This locking hook is punched out of the U-shaped connecting plate. The latching hook protrudes resiliently from the U-shaped connecting plate and engages in the latched state in the opening in the housing and thus holds the spring contact element, formed from the two spring contacts and the U-shaped connecting plate, in the housing. Such an attachment allows only limited tensile forces. In addition, assembly is cumbersome. The manufacture of the locking hook as a hook punched out of the U-shaped connecting plate is also complex.

From the U.S. 4,379,611 shows a contact element in which a spring contact element is provided, the spring contacts of which are designed as legs of an essentially U-shaped bent sheet and in which a latching element is arranged in the U-shaped area of the sheet, which covers the spring contacts. It is designed to be smaller than the spring contacts and to this extent only has a limited resistance to pull-out forces.

A U-shaped contact element goes out of the DE 10 2010 024 525 A1 emerged. In these, a locking lug for locking the contact element is arranged in a housing via inwardly curved, resilient lamellae. DE 10 2010 024545 A1 discloses a connector according to the preamble of claim 1.

From the DE 10 2010 034 789 B3 a contact element has become known which has a locking spring which, when the contact element is pushed in, springs into a primary locking recess and the contact element is supported against being pulled out on a primary locking abutment. However, this locking spring does not have a bending area on the side of the spring contacts facing the contact opening. Such a design does not allow a locking element which has significantly larger dimensions and to that extent has a greater resistance to extraction forces.

In all of these plug connectors, the bending area of the locking element is not limited, so that, in principle, there is a risk that the locking element will be damaged by overbending, bending out, etc.

From the WO 2006/055706 A1 shows a connection element which can be pushed into a housing opening and latched there.

Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

Compared to the connectors known from the prior art, the spring contacts in the connector according to the invention have an inclined support surface for the locking hook on their side facing the locking element, on which the downwardly bent locking hook rests while the spring contact element is pushed into the housing. The latching element thus rests, so to speak, on the spring contacts until it has latched into the latching opening provided for it. This bearing surface very advantageously limits the bending angle of the locking element and thus prevents damage to the locking element by overbending.

Advantageous further developments are the subject of the dependent subclaims. The bending area preferably has a greater width than the latching element. This enables high bending forces and improves stability.

In order to improve the stability and to reduce the risk of the long hook being bent, it is furthermore preferably provided that the locking element has a bead extending essentially over its entire length.

The latching element itself has a support surface for a blade contact element on its side facing the spring contacts. In the nested state of the blade contact element in the spring contact element, the locking hook is prevented from disengaging from the locking opening, because the contact surface rests on the blade contact element, the outer cuboid shape of which adjoins the opening of the U-shaped cross-section of the "cover" - the locking element Spring contact element is formed.

Such a connector can also have a secondary lock, as shown in the DE 20 2006 010 308 U1 emerges. By arranging the latching element over the spring contact elements, it simultaneously enables such a secondary lock to be secured against unlocking in an extremely advantageous manner, because the latching element also prevents the secondary lock from being actuated at the same time.

It is preferably provided that the spring contact element and the latching element are formed integrally with one another. With a view to simple manufacture, the spring contact element and the latching element are formed from a single stamped part and are bent several times.

Beschreibung von AusführungsbeispielenDescription of exemplary embodiments

A spring contact element, denoted as a whole by 100, of a connector according to the invention comprises two contact elements which are shown in FIG Fig. 1 are designed as spring contacts 110, 120. These spring contacts 110, 120 are used in a manner known per se to accommodate a blade contact element (see FIG Fig. 6 ). The spring contacts 110, 120 are connected to one another via a connecting plate 130, the two spring contacts 110, 120 together with the connecting plate 130 having a U-shape. This U-shaped arrangement is covered, so to speak, like a cover by a latching element 140, so that the U-shaped profile is configured in section as a rectangular profile together with this cover.

The spring contacts 110, 130 are followed by a crimping area 160 which is used to receive and crimp stranded wires in a manner known per se. A strain relief 162 connects to the crimping area 160 and serves to receive an insulating sheath of a cable made up of strands.

The latching element 140 is attached to the U-shaped profile on the side facing away from the contact tips 111, 121 of the spring contacts 110, 120, for example formed in one piece therewith. It can be produced by a stamping process from a flat sheet metal which is bent three times at right angles, first to form the spring contacts 110, 120 and then to form the latching element 140 arranged over them like a lid. The latching element 140 has a bead 141 running continuously in the longitudinal direction , which serves to increase the stability of the elongated locking element 140. At the front end facing the contact tips 111, 121, a locking hook 142 is formed on the locking element 140, the function of which will be described in more detail below.

The spring contacts 110, 120 have on their upper side, that is to say on their edge facing the latching element 140, surfaces 112, 122 which run obliquely and which are designed as support surfaces for the latching element. Like the one in particular Fig. 2 , but also the Fig. 1 As can be seen, the latching element 140 has a bending area 143 in the area of the latching hook 142, which is wider than the latching element 140 itself.

FIGS. 4 to 6 show a plug connector, that is to say the arrangement of the spring contact element 100 described above in a housing 200. Fig. 4 shows the not yet engaged state of the latching element 140 in an opening 240 of the housing 200 provided for this purpose Fig. 4 As can be seen, the electrical contact element in the form of the spring contact element 100 is arranged in a chamber 201 of the housing 200 which has an opening 202 on the plug-in side and an opening 204 on the cable side. The plug-in opening 202 is used to insert a knife contact element 500 in a manner known per se, the opening 204 is used to lead the cable (not shown) out of the housing 200. The spring contact element 100 is inserted from the rear, i.e. from the opening 204 into the Housing 200 pushed in, the latching element 140 initially not yet latching. Rather, it is bent downwards and rests on the support surfaces 112, 122. As a result of this resting, the possibility of bending the latching element 140 is limited and thus also preventing damage to the latching element 140 through overbending. After the spring contact element 100 has been pushed completely into the housing 200, the latching element 140 is fully latched. For this purpose, the latching hook 142 engages in an opening 240 of the housing 200 provided for this purpose. This state is in Fig. 5 shown.

After a blade contact element 500 has been inserted into the spring contact element 100, as shown schematically in FIG Fig. 6 is shown, it is effectively and reliably prevented that the latching element 140, that is, the latching hook 142 from the opening 240 can disengage. In this case, the locking element 140 rests with its support surface 147 facing the blade contact element 500 on the blade contact element 500, so that in the plugged-in state the locking element cannot disengage. As in FIGS. 4 to 6 is also shown, such a plug connector can also have a secondary lock 300, which has locking cams 310, 320 which engage in corresponding locking recesses 181, 182 of the spring contact element.
