Definitions

  • the invention relates to a safety bridge for realizing a free drain with a funnel siphon to prevent contamination of drinking water by backflow, suction or back pressure of water, as well as a free drain arrangement which comprises the safety bridge.
  • One of the measures proposed in this context is the implementation of a so-called free drain, which provides that the mouths of the corresponding hose, plastic or metal lines above the open funnel siphon that absorbs the drained water at a distance of at least 20 mm to the upper edge of the Funnel siphons are to be arranged so that, in the event of a backflow, water already drained into the funnel siphon enters the intermediate area between the upper edge of the siphon and the end of the one mentioned above Waste water pipes can escape freely. This means that it cannot rise upwards through the mentioned waste water pipes in the opposite direction to the discharge direction and possibly come into contact with drinking water, so that this could then possibly be contaminated.
  • the implementation of a free flow therefore primarily serves to prevent backflow, so that a possible, even retrograde contamination of the drinking water with corresponding dangers for the end user can be excluded.
  • the installers and processors working in this context essentially rely on improvising in such a way that the waste water pipes fed to an open funnel siphon are deflected on the one hand in such a way that the distance required by DIN EN 1717 of at least 20 mm is maintained is, but at the same time it is also prevented that the running water splashes or flows into the area outside the funnel siphon: This can lead to practical difficulties on site, in particular in cases where several sewage pipes are fed to a single funnel siphon.
  • Another problem is that, in the interest of consumer and drinking water protection, existing installations must also be changed so that the required minimum clearance of at least 20 mm is also maintained for these existing installations in order to achieve a free flow.
  • a safety bridge according to the invention is designed to be used with a funnel siphon to achieve a free drain, so that if one or more drain line (s) are arranged at a distance above the funnel of the funnel siphon, drinking water contamination by backflow, suction or backpressure of water is reliably prevented. by placing the safety bridge in an instruction for use on the funnel of the funnel siphon.
  • the safety bridge which is also more generally to be referred to as a safety device, has at least one connection plate with at least one connection opening, to which the drain line when the safety bridge is mounted on the funnel siphon, i.e. when the safety bridge is used, which is in a common use arrangement of the drain line with the funnel siphon and the safety bridge is present, can be arranged.
  • the safety bridge is advantageously provided with a spacing device which extends away from the at least one connection plate out of the plane which is defined by the connection plate (s).
  • the spacing device forms an angle to the connection plate, which can be approximately 90 °.
  • the spacing device can also be non-perpendicular to the connection plate.
  • the spacing device is dimensioned such that the connection plate (or even a plurality of connection plates), when the safety bridge is arranged on the funnel siphon, is at a distance from the upper edge of the funnel siphon that is greater than or equal to a predetermined minimum distance for the free drain, so that the lower edge of the the drain line arranged at the connection opening has at least the predetermined minimum distance, which is at least 20 mm, from the top edge of the funnel of the funnel siphon.
  • the minimum distance must be greater than an inner diameter of the drain line of the funnel siphon, which in turn must be greater than that of the drain line, which is arranged at the connection opening of the connection plate.
  • the distance between the lower edge of the drain pipe and the upper edge of the funnel siphon should correspond to at least twice the inner diameter of the drain pipe.
  • the spacing device is formed by a wall or by a plurality of spacer webs which are arranged distributed over the outer circumference of the at least one connection plate.
  • the wall or the spacer webs are interrupted by at least one window below that defined by the at least one connection plate Level is provided.
  • the window allows the discharge of dirty water, which may overflow from the funnel, so that no dirty water can penetrate into the drain line (s) connected to the safety bridge.
  • the window is used to observe the drain from the connected drain or leakage water pipes so that unwanted water losses can be recognized immediately without great effort.
  • the wall or the plurality of spacer webs delimits an arrangement of two (or also more) connection plates which are separated by at least one drain plate which is offset downwards.
  • an offset of the drainage plate with respect to the connection plates is selected such that the at least one drainage plate, when the safety bridge is arranged on the funnel siphon, is at a distance from the upper edge of the funnel siphon that is greater than or equal to the predetermined minimum distance for the free drain, that is to say at least 20 mm .
  • the window extends - there may be several - in the wall adjacent to and below the drain plate.
  • a drain line can be arranged here in such a way that it simply opens into the space between the two connection plates above the drain plate.
  • the inside diameter of the drain pipe of the funnel siphon be larger than the inside diameter of the drain pipe, but also the area of the drain opening or the total area of the drain openings must be dimensioned accordingly.
  • the safety bridge corresponds in cross-sectional shape and / or surface extension to the funnel opening delimited by the top edge.
  • the spacing device can run at least essentially perpendicularly and can be arranged at right angles to the surface extension of the at least one connection plate.
  • a single drain plate can be provided between the connection plates, which has at least one drain opening, preferably a plurality of drain openings, or two drain plates arranged opposite one another on the wall and delimiting a gap-shaped drain opening between them, the drain plates leading to the gap-shaped drain opening are inclined downwards.
  • the spacing device on the side facing away from the at least one connection plate can be firmly connected to a funnel on its upper edge.
  • the funnel is designed for connection to a drain line of a funnel siphon.
  • the safety bridge with the funnel is a single unit.

  • a clip solution with a clamping device is also conceivable as a positioning means, with which the safety bridge can be clipped onto the upper edge of the funnel siphon, so that the connection plate is intended to be placed above the funnel siphon in via the spacer webs the defined distance is fixed.
  • Another detachable fastening of the safety bridge can provide that the spacer webs are guided through subsequently drilled or already existing holes in the circumferential upper edge of the funnel siphon, the position of which corresponds to the circumferentially spaced spacer webs, and in a position that corresponds to the required minimum distance of 20 mm of the connection plate with respect to the top edge of the funnel siphon, for example by means of a lock nut.

  • the connection pins 12 can be realized in different designs, namely once as a straight connection pin 12 or as a developed connection pin 12, so that both horizontally or vertically laid drain lines can be connected using the connection pins 12.
  • These connecting pins 12 are used to connect the drain lines to be installed or already existing, so that the mouths of the drain lines are connected above the connection plate 5, so that existing installations can also be connected to the safety bridge according to the invention in a simple manner.
  • Fig. 4 shows a funnel siphon device not according to the invention
