Description

The present invention relates to the field of watch adjustment devices arranged to be plated on the crystal of a watch comprising several display means.

ARRIERE PLAN TECHNOLOGIQUETECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

It is known from the prior art of watches or timepieces whose horological module makes it possible to indicate the date, that is to say the day of the month, the latter also being able to be indicated.

For the most common watches, the date indication is not optimal because it does not take into account the difference in the number of days between the different months of the year. Therefore, during months at thirty days, it is necessary to adjust the date to advance the date by two notches while in February, the date must be advanced at least four notches or even five in the event of a leap year. to get the correct date.

To solve this problem, perpetual calendar horological modules have been created. These watchmaking modules propose to indicate the date by taking into account the different numbers of days in the months of the year depending on whether the year is simple or leap. Consequently, this watch module can go from one month to another without the user having to intervene.

However, a drawback of these perpetual calendar horological modules is that they require prior adjustment. This preliminary adjustment can take place during manufacture or during the first use or at each battery change. This setting consists of entering a mode of adjustment to then adjust the various parameters. These parameters are the date, month and year ie at the current level of the four-year cycle. However, this adjustment is far from simple because it is not easy for the user or the watchmaker to define the current level of the cycle: are we in the leap year or the following year or previous ? This question is more complicated than expected and if in addition, the adjustment steps are not clear, the perpetual calendar adjustment quickly becomes a chore for the user.

In addition, this drawback is amplified if the perpetual calendar is adjusted without any indication being displayed on what the user is adjusting. Indeed, if he does not know if he sets the day, the month or the year, the user risks giving up. The document US2009185304 discloses, for example, the possibility of arranging an element temporarily plated on the crystal of a watch and provided with indices allowing the identification of the information displayed by said watch.

In a normal operating mode, this clock module sends time information to display means 106, which are associated with a dial 104 to indicate the information to the user. These display means 106 comprise at least one display member 107. This display member 107 can be in the form of needles or discs arranged under a window in the dial. The display means 106 also include a disc placed under a window 107g for displaying the date.

In normal operating mode, the display means 106 display the current time and are used for the on-demand chronograph function.

This watch module is capable of going into a setting operating mode in which the perpetual calendar function is set. This setting consists of setting the date, ie date, month and year, so that the watch module knows when the leap year should take place.

Advantageously according to the invention, this step of adjusting the perpetual calendar function is carried out using an adjustment device 10. This adjustment device 10 is an element which is pressed against the crystal 103 of the watch 100. This device adjustment 10 comprises a plurality of transparent zones or openings for viewing by the user of said display means of said watch during their adjustment.

This adjustment device also comprises at least one additional item of information 11. This additional item of information 11 is used in cooperation with at least one display member 107 of the display means 106 to facilitate the adjustment of a parameter. In the case of setting a perpetual calendar, at least three additional items of information 11 must be represented: one for the date, one for the month and one for the year.

In a first embodiment of the invention visible at figure 1 , this adjustment device 10 may be in the form of a self-adhesive plastic film 12. This plastic film 12 comprises serigraphs which are the various additional information 11. This embodiment of the invention has the advantage of being simple to implement. work since a self-adhesive plastic film is already present on the timepieces. This film is used to protect ice. A screen printing step must just be added to obtain the adjustment device 10 according to the invention.

This plastic film 12 has transparent zones 15 for viewing by the user of said display means of said watch during their adjustment. The film can be completely transparent or also include opaque areas, for example to improve the contrast of screen prints.

In a second embodiment of the invention visible at figure 4 , this adjustment device 10 may also be in the form of a part 14 such as a three-dimensional frame. This part 14 comprises transparent or perforated zones 15.

The part 14 is in the form of an annular part comprising several beams 16 to delimit the different zones, each zone corresponding to additional information 11. These zones 15 are solid and transparent or open for viewing by the user of said means. display of said watch during their adjustment. These beams 16 extend according to the diameter or the radius of the annular part. This part 14 is preferably made of plastic and has a shape similar to that of the dial 104 and / or the bezel 102 in order to be able to press against the crystal 103 / or the bezel. This second embodiment has the advantage of being reusable in particular in the event of new settings during a battery change.

The adjustment device 10 further comprises at least one indexing mark 17 for its angular indexing with respect to a reference of said watch. In the case of the first embodiment, this indexing mark may be a screen print 18 to identify the 12h-6h axis and / or the 9h-3h axis, this screen printing also serving to separate the zones for each additional information. 13. Indexing can also also take place naturally by dressing the watch (crown, push-piece, lugs on the caseband, etc.), without hindering access to the push-pieces and the crown.

In the case of the second embodiment, the index mark 17 can be the very structure of said part. Indeed, as visible at the figure 4 , the beams 16 arranged along the 12h-6h axis and / or the 9h-3h axis so as to serve as an indexing mark.

When using this adjustment device, a first step a) consists in having the adjustment device 10 pressed onto the watch crystal or clipped to the watch case. The adjustment device 10 can be plated by the user or already present.

In a second step b), pressing the main control member 105a, that is to say the crown B causes the passage from the normal operating mode to the adjustment mode.

In the adjustment step, the adjustment parameters of the perpetual calendar function are adjusted sequentially so that for each parameter set, at least one display member 107 of the display means 106 cooperates with one of the additional information 11 of the device. adjustment 10.

  • afficher le paramètre i réglé durant ladite phase par un mouvement des moyens d'affichage 106 ;
  • sélectionner, à l'aides des organes de commande secondaires P1, P2 la valeur du paramètre, les moyens d'affichage se déplaçant en conséquence;
The process visible at figure 6 consists, for each parameter i, of:
  • display the parameter i set during said phase by a movement of the display means 106;
  • selecting, using the secondary control members P1, P2, the value of the parameter, the display means moving accordingly;
  • validate the value of the parameter by acting on the main control unit B.

If for the parameter i, we have = n then the validation of the value of the parameter i by action on the main control unit B makes it possible to launch a step c) in which the watch leaves the setting mode and enters the mode normal operating mode is therefore started, otherwise the parameter i = i + 1 is set.

According to a first embodiment of the invention visible to figures 1 and 2 , the additional information is only used to indicate to the user the parameter being adjusted.

For this, in a non-limiting example, three display members 107 are used. A first display member 107 and a second display member 107 each take the form of a hand cooperating with a graduated counter such as the counter 107f at 9 o'clock and the counter 107e at 3 o'clock used for the chronograph function. The third display member 107 is a disk associated with a window 107g for displaying the date.

When entering setting mode by acting on the control means 105, the clock module directly enters a first phase in which a first parameter is set. For example, crown B will be used to enter setting mode.

In this first phase, the first display member 107f is used and a first additional item of information 111 is associated with it. This first additional information 111 indicates the parameter being adjusted. In the case of figures 1 and 2 , the first additional information 11 relates to the year and the first display member 107f is used. This first display member 107f performs a movement to indicate that the first parameter is being adjusted.

The user must then indicate the current year in relation to the leap year. In this first phase, the horological module is then programmed so that the first display member 107f moves only in four positions, each of the positions corresponding to a leap year. The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the first parameter and to validate his selection. Preferably, the first and second push-buttons P1 and P2 are used to increase or decrease the value of the parameter while the crown B is used to validate the value, these manipulations not being limiting. Once this validation has been carried out, the first phase becomes complete and a second phase is automatically started.

This second phase allows the adjustment of a second parameter. The second display unit 107e is used and a second additional information item 112 is associated with it. This second additional information 112 concerns the current month. This second display member 107e performs a movement to indicate that the second parameter is being adjusted.

In this second phase, the horological module is programmed so that the second display member 107e moves only in twelve positions, each of the positions corresponding to one month. The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the second parameter and to validate his selection. Once this validation has been carried out, the second phase becomes complete.

At this point, a third phase in which the third parameter must be set automatically starts. The third display member 107g is used and is associated with a third additional item of information 113. This third additional item of information 113 relates to the date. This third display member 107g performs a movement to indicate that the third parameter is being adjusted.

As the third display member 107g is the window for the current date, the programming of the third display member 107g must not be changed. The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the third parameter and validate his selection. A once this validation has been carried out, the third phase and the adjustment step are completed. The display means 106 therefore return to their initial or previous position.

The advantage of this first embodiment is to use the hands of the counters graduated at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock used for the chronograph function as well as the date window. This does not disturb the operation of the normal mode since the date window will be set to the correct date during the setting and it is the chronograph display members 107 which are used and not the display members 107 of the chronograph. current time.

The movement that the display members 107f, 107e and 107g perform may be a rotational movement of one or a few steps before being reset.

On comprend par-là que ces informations complémentaires 11 sont utilisées comme échelle lors du réglage des différents paramètresIn a second embodiment of the invention visible to figures 3 to 5 , the additional information 11 is used to specify to the user the parameter being adjusted and / or to serve as a display sequence of all the possible adjustment amplitude of said display member considered. It is therefore understood that this additional information 11 is used as a scale during the adjustment of the various parameters.

In a non-limiting example, two display members 107 are used. A first display member 107 is in the form of the central seconds hand 107d used during the normal operating mode for displaying the chronograph function. The second display member 107 is a disk associated with a window 107g for displaying the date.

When entering setting mode, the clock module directly enters a first phase in which a first parameter is set. In this first phase, the first display member 107d is used and is associated with a first additional information 11. This first additional information 11 comprises the indication 11b of the parameter being adjusted and the amplitude 11a of possible adjustment of said display member means considered for said parameter. The first display member 107d moves to indicate that it is the first parameter which is being adjusted.

In the case of figure 5 , the first additional information concerns the year. The user must then indicate the ten of the current year. Indeed, in this exemplary embodiment, the goal is to enter the current year. This current year is compared with a database integrated into the watchmaking module so as to define whether it is a leap year and / or when this year will take place.

In this first phase, the horological module is then programmed so that the first display member 107d moves only in ten positions, from zero to nine. The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the first parameter and to validate his selection. As in the first embodiment, the first and second push-buttons P1 and P2 are used to increase or decrease the value of the parameter while the crown B is used to validate the value. Once this validation has been carried out, the first phase becomes complete and a second phase is automatically started.

The second phase allows a second parameter to be set. In this second phase, the first display member 107d is still used and a second additional item of information is associated with it. The first display member 107d moves to indicate that it is the second parameter which is being adjusted.

This second additional information also relates to the year and comprises the indication 11d of the parameter being adjusted, that is to say the year and the possible adjustment amplitude 11c of said display means means considered for said parameter. The user must then indicate the unit for the current year. The watch module is then programmed so that the first display member moves only ten positions, from zero to nine. The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the first parameter and to validate his selection.

For example, if in the first phase the number nine is selected and that in the second phase the number selected is six, this means that the current year is the year 2096, in fact, a date is preprogrammed in the watch. so that this date is considered as a reference. Another example, if in the first phase the number one is selected and that in the second phase the selected number is four, this means that the current year is the year 2014. At this moment, a third phase is automatically started. . However, it is possible to enter the date in full by entering the number two, then the number zero then the number one then the number four to form 2014.

The third phase allows a third parameter to be set. In this third phase, the first display member 107d is still used and a third additional item of information 11 is associated with it. This third additional information 11 relates to the current month and comprises the indication 11g of the parameter being adjusted, that is to say the year and the amplitude 11f of adjustment possible for said parameter. The first display member 107d moves to indicate that it is the third parameter which is being adjusted.

The watch module is then programmed so that the first display member 107d moves only in twelve positions, from one to twelve. The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the third parameter and to validate his selection. Once this validation has been carried out, the third phase becomes complete.

A fourth step begins automatically, in which a fourth parameter is set. In this fourth phase, the second display unit 107g is used and a fourth additional item of information is associated with it. This fourth additional information is an 11th indication on the current fourth. The second display member 107g is that which is ordinarily used for displaying the date, its operation is therefore not modified. The second display member 107g performs a movement to indicate that it is the fourth parameter which is being adjusted.

The user uses the control means 105 to select the value of the fourth parameter and to validate his selection. Once this validation has been carried out, the fourth phase becomes complete and by the same the adjustment step.

The advantage of this second embodiment is to use the central seconds hand 107d used for the chronograph function as well as the date window 107g. This does not disturb the operation of the normal mode since the date window 107g will be set to the correct date during the setting and only a 107d hand linked to the chronograph function is used.

The movement of the display members 107d, 107g carried out to indicate the parameter being adjusted may be a rotational movement of one or a few steps before being reset to zero or a sweep of the possible adjustment amplitude. Of course, any movement will be possible.

In addition, the order of adjustment of the various parameters is not fixed and they can be carried out in a different order. However, for convenience, the first parameter and the second parameter are set one after the other. The parameters can be adjusted in the order day-month year or year-month-day or according to the position of the additional information in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.

Les chiffres peuvent être de 1 à 31 dans le cas où la date est réglée de la même façon (visible à la figure 9).In a variant of this embodiment visible at figure 9 , the central seconds hand 107d is, for example, used to indicate the digits selected on a display sequence of all the possible adjustment amplitude. A counter 107c is then used to indicate the setting mode in which we are (year 1 st digit, year 2 nd digit, month, day). Thus, the film 12 or frame 14 has 11 o'clock information around the counter 107c and only digits (from 0 to 12) for the needle in the center. The numbers can be from 1 to 31 if the date is set in the same way (visible on the figure 9 ).

In a variant of the first embodiment of the invention visible at figure 7 , provision is made for the adjustment device 10 to include several plastic films 12. These plastic films are connected to each other by at least one point 12b so as to form a sheet. Each film 12 includes additional information 11 so that when the adjustment associated with the additional information is performed then the film can be removed. This variant makes it possible to improve the visibility of the adjustment step because the number of adjustments still to be made is immediately visible. To this end, each plastic film comprises, preferably opposite the point of attachment of the films to one another, a non-adhesive tab 12a so that the user can easily remove the plastic films. More preferably, this tab is opaque in order to be more visible.

In a first variant of the second embodiment of the invention, a layer 18 of adhesive material is arranged on the face of the annular part 14 resting on the watch at the level of the crystal 103. This layer of adhesive material 18 allows the adjuster not to move during the adjustment step.

In a second variant of the second embodiment of the invention visible at figure 8 , the perforated part is dimensioned so that the annular part 14 is of a diameter equal to that of the bezel 12. This This characteristic makes it possible to have the annular part 14 which rests on the bezel 102 and not on the crystal 103. This second variant can be advantageously combined with the first variant, that is to say by depositing a layer 18 of adhesive material on the face of the annular part 14 bearing on the watch.

In another non-limiting variant, the passage to the adjustment mode is made by pulling the crown B. Once the crown B has been pulled completely into a determined position, the adjustment mode is entered.

Dans chaque mode d'affichage, on règle l'afficheur avec la rotation de la couronne et on valide l'affichage avec P2.Subsequently, we switch from one display mode to another, that is to say for the adjustment from one parameter to another, with P1, sequentially. In each display mode, the display is adjusted by rotating the crown and the display is validated with P2.

The adjustment mode is exited by returning the crown to the rest position.

It will be understood that various modifications and / or improvements and / or combinations obvious to a person skilled in the art can be made to the various embodiments of the invention described above without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the appended claims.

The annular part 14 can be produced so as to have several distinct thicknesses on each of which additional information 11 is indicated.
