Description

The present invention relates to a device for displaying the date as well as the time of sunrise and / or the time of sunset, comprising a 31-day date disc, a first date index arranged to indicate a date on said date disc, a device for displaying the time of sunrise and / or sunset, a second index arranged to indicate the time of sunrise and / or a third index arranged to indicate the time of sunrise and / or sunset sunset time on the sunrise and / or sunset time display unit. The present invention also relates to a timepiece comprising such a display device.

Such a type of display device is used in a timepiece generally also comprising a main 12 hour dial for traditionally displaying legal time on said main dial by means of an hour hand. The date is displayed by means of an aperture or on a dial formed by a 31-day date disc, by means of a date hand. The sunrise and sunset times are generally displayed on two dials or angular sectors graduated by means of two respective hands or indexes. These apertures, dials or angular sectors used to read the date as well as the sunrise and sunset times are generally distributed over the main dial with other displays, each hand or index having its own axis of rotation, and each item of information to display being managed by its own mechanism. The various mechanisms concentrated on the same side of the dial represent a certain bulk, which makes the design and construction of these timepieces called grand complications difficult. In addition, the dials or additional angular sectors have the drawback of weighing down and loading the main information dial, making it difficult to read the time. They can be positioned on the back of the timepiece to free up space on the main dial and space under the main dial for associated mechanisms. But because of this, the information will not be visible to the user when the latter wears the timepiece on the wrist.

In addition, most timepieces comprising a device for displaying the times of sunrise and sunset do not make it possible to manage the change of summer / winter time for the display of the sunrise and sunset times. Sun. In most cases, the problem is solved by asking the user to correct the daylight saving time at the time of the time change by moving the hour hand by means of the time setting rod and after the change to summer time, to add virtually one hour to the sunrise and sunset times, the display of these times still in reality always in winter time. Some manufacturers recall this operation by providing a small inscription on the display dial for the hours of sunrise and sunset so as not to forget to add a time when legal time has changed to summer time. This means that the sunrise and sunset times actually displayed on their respective displays are incorrect for half of the year, when daylight saving time has changed to daylight saving time.

To solve this problem, the request CH 712 493 proposes a mechanism making it possible to modify time information linked to an astronomical phenomenon, such as the time of sunrise or sunset, as a function of summer time and winter time and / or of a longitude or a time zone. Said mechanism comprises a bistable control actuated manually and arranged to act only on an indicator of the time of sunrise or sunset, managed moreover by a wheel controlled by astronomical calculation mechanisms, causing a displacement of a time of said indicator of the hour of sunrise or sunset during the summer / winter time change, as well as on a control indicator showing the two stable positions summer / winter of said order. This document does not give any information on the correction of the daylight saving time at the time of the summer / winter time change when the bistable control is used.

The document CH690516 discloses a date display by an index cooperating with a 31-position scale and the display of sunrise and sunset on an open scale separate from that of the date.

The present invention aims to remedy the drawbacks of the known mechanisms by proposing a device for displaying the date as well as the time of sunrise and / or the time of sunset, allowing a rationalization of the multiple mechanisms managing the different displays present on a timepiece, such as a timepiece with great complications.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for displaying the date as well as the time of sunrise and / or the time of sunset, allowing simple display and easy reading of the hours of the day. sunrise and / or sunset.

The present invention also aims to remedy the drawbacks of the known mechanisms by proposing a device for displaying the date, the time of sunrise and / or the time of sunset, as well as the legal time, allowing a simple and quick adjustment of the standard time as well as the time of sunrise and / or sunset during summer / winter time changes.

To this end, the present invention relates to a device for displaying the date as well as the time of sunrise and / or the time of sunset, comprising a 31-day date disc, a first index of date arranged to indicate a date on said date disc, a member for displaying the time of sunrise and / or sunset, a second index arranged to indicate the time of sunrise and / or a third index arranged to indicate the time of sunset on said display member of the time of sunrise and / or sunset.

According to the invention, the device for displaying the time of sunrise and / or sunset is constituted by the date disc, the second index and / or the third index being arranged to pivot or rotate. of 11.6 ° per hour.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, said display device further comprises a fourth index of legal time arranged to indicate legal time, and a mechanism for managing the legal time as well as the time of getting up. of the sun and / or of the sunset time during the summer / winter time change comprising a summer / winter selector arranged to move between two positions, a summer time position when summer time must be displayed and a winter time position when winter time is to be displayed, and to allow simultaneous display in summer time, respectively in winter time, of standard time by means of the fourth index of daylight saving time as well as of the time of sunrise by means of the second index and / or of sunset by means of the third index when it passes to its summer time position, respectively to its time position d 'winter.

Advantageously, the summer / winter selector is arranged to simultaneously move the display member of the time of sunrise and / or sunset and the fourth index of the legal time of a movement corresponding to display a time of daylight saving time. more when switching to summer time position and one hour less when switching to winter time position.

Thus, the display device according to the invention makes it possible to rationalize and simplify the various displays used in a timepiece, the reading of the times of sunrise and / or sunset being done in a simple and original manner on the display. existing date graduation.

In addition, the display device according to the invention allows a user to synchronously correct the daylight saving time as well as the time of sunrise and / or sunset at the time of summer / winter time changes, by means of a single action. The correction of the daylight saving time as well as the time of sunrise and / or sunset at the time of summer / winter time changes is therefore simple and fast.

With reference to figures 1 and 2 , the present invention relates to a display device 1 of a timepiece making it possible to display the date, that is to say the current date, on a date disc 8 by means of a first index date 14 arranged to indicate a date on said date disc 8. The date disc 8 is 31 days old, that is to say it has 31 graduations distributed regularly over its circumference.

The display device 1 also comprises a member for displaying the time of sunrise and / or sunset 8, a second index 10, such as a hand for displaying the time of sunrise on the screen. display member 8 and a third index 12, such as a hand for displaying the sunset time.

Il est également possible de prévoir un mécanisme d'entrainement des index 4 et 6 approprié pour avoir un affichage de l'heure légale sur 24h.The display device 1 also makes it possible to display the legal time on a legal time display member 2, such as a dial, by means of a fourth legal time index 4, such as 'a needle. The minutes are traditionally displayed on the legal time display unit 2 by means of a minute index 6, such as a hand. The indexes 4 and 6 are driven by the movement of the timepiece in a manner known per se, in order to display the legal time for example at 12 o'clock. In particular, the fourth index of legal time 4 is carried by an hour wheel 5, which may for example be a time zone hour wheel. It is also possible to provide a mechanism for driving the indexes 4 and 6 suitable for displaying the legal time over 24 hours.

The display member for the sunrise and / or sunset time 8, the second and third indexes 10 and 12 are positioned on the same side as the fourth index for legal time 4. In addition, the second and third index 10 and 12 as well as the fourth index of legal time 4 are preferably concentric, their respective axes of rotation being the same. Likewise, the display device for the legal time 2 and the display device for the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 are preferably concentric.

According to the invention, the device for displaying the time of sunrise and / or sunset is formed by the 31-day date disc 8, the second index 10 and / or the third index 12 being arranged (s) to pivot or rotate by 11.6 ° per hour relative to the date disc 8. This means that, in an advantageous manner, the reading of the times of sunrise and sunset is made on the date disc 8 by means of the second and third indexes 10 and 12 using, as figures and numbers relating to the times of sunrise and sunset, the figures and numbers represented on the date disc 8 to further indicate the date. Thus, the date disc 8 is advantageously used to indicate both the times of sunrise and sunset by means of the second and third indexes 10 and 12 as well as the days by means of the first date index 14, concentric with the second and third index 10 and 12 as well as the fourth index of legal time 4. Said first date index 14 is arranged to indicate the date on the date disc 8 by means of a date mechanism comprising of in a conventional manner, in particular a date driving wheel 16 driven by the hours wheel 5 of one revolution per 24 hours and a date wheel or star 18 to 31 teeth carrying the first date index 14, held by its date jumper 20 and the associated date jumper spring 21, and driven in rotation by a date finger 22 integral with the date driving wheel 16, one step per day, during the date change. Such a date mechanism is known to those skilled in the art and does not require a fuller description here.

To facilitate the reading of the sunrise and sunset times on the date disc 8, it is possible to provide on said date disc 8 two graduated sectors 24, 25, bearing an additional graduation specific to the sunrise and sunset times. sun and delimited by the minimum and maximum hours of sunrise and sunset using the figures corresponding to dates of the same value. For example, the sunrise hours sector 24 between 4h and 10h can be indicated by graduations added on the date disc 8 between dates 4 and 10. The sunset hours sector 25 between 16h and 22h can be indicated by graduations added on the date disc 8 between the dates 16 and 22.

It is obvious that according to the variant embodiments, only one of the second and third indexes 10, 12 can be implemented if it is desired to display only the times of sunrise or the times of sunset.

The second and third indexes 10 and 12 are driven by a drive mechanism managing the times of sunrise and sunset on an annual basis by means of cams having a shape so as to describe the variations in the times of sunrise and sunset. sun during the year. Such mechanisms managing the sunrise and sunset times in a timepiece, such as a wristwatch, are known to those skilled in the art and do not require further description here.

Such a mechanism for managing the times of sunrise and sunset is described for example in the request EP 18152022 of the plaintiff. This mechanism comprises a sunrise hours feeler carrying a toothing forming a rack which meshes with a wheel carrying a hand indicating the sunrise hours corresponding to the second index 10 and a sunset hours feeler carrying a toothing forming a rack which meshes with a wheel carrying a hand indicating the hours of sunset corresponding to the third index 12. The probes are movable in translation and held in support respectively against a cam for the hours of sunrise and against a cam for the hours of sunrise. sunset by a flexible guiding system.

However, in the context of the present invention, the mechanism managing the hours of sunrise and sunset driving the second and third indexes 10 and 12 is designed so that the second and / or third indexes 10 and 12 are pivoted by 11.6 ° by hour (that is to say 360/31) relative to the date disk 8. Those skilled in the watchmaking art know how to calculate the profile of the sunrise and / or sunset cams in order to obtain a speed of rotation of the sunrise and / or sunset cams. second and / or third index 10 and 12 of 11.6 ° per hour with respect to the date disc 8. For example, in the case of the mechanism managing the sunrise and sunset times described in the request EP 18152022 for the applicant, those skilled in the art know how to define the profile of the sunrise time cam so that the difference between the maximum radius and the minimum radius of the sunrise time cam corresponds to the length of the displacement rectilinear sensor of the hours of sunrise calculated as a function of the angle traversed by the second index 10 between the minimum time of sunrise and the maximum time of sunrise in relation to a display of 31 hours over 360 ° . Likewise, the profile of the sunset time cam is set so that the difference between the maximum radius and the minimum radius of the sunset time cam corresponds to the length of the rectilinear movement of the sunset time probe. sunset calculated as a function of the angle traveled by the third index 12 between the minimum sunset time and the maximum sunset time referred to a 31-hour display over 360 °.

In addition, the display member for the time of sunrise and / or sunset 8 is arranged to be movable in rotation on the frame relative to the second index 10 and / or the third index 12 in the clockwise direction. and counterclockwise. For this, the display member of the time of sunrise and / or sunset 8 is preferably in the form of a ring, the axis of rotation coincides with the axes of rotation of the indexes 4, 6 , 10, 12, 14, and mounted to pivot on the frame by means of rollers (not shown) or any other date indicator rotation system known to those skilled in the art. In normal times, apart from any summer / winter time change, the display unit for the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 is fixed, the second and third indexes 10 and 12 moving in front the sunrise and / or sunset time display member 8 for displaying the sunrise and sunset times respectively. The sunrise and / or sunset time display member 8 is rotated with respect to the second and third indexes 10 and 12 only at the time of the summer / winter time change as will be described below. -after.

In accordance with the invention, and with more specific reference to figures 2 to 5 , the display device 1 comprises a mechanism for managing the daylight saving time as well as the time of sunrise and / or the time of sunset during the summer / winter time change comprising a selector summer / winter 26 arranged to move between two stable positions, namely a summer time position when summer time is to be displayed and a winter time position when winter time is to be displayed, and for allow simultaneous display in summer time, respectively in winter time, of standard time by means of the fourth index of standard time 4 as well as of the time of rising by means of the second index 10 and / or sunset by means of the third index 12 during its passage to its summer time position, respectively to its winter time position.

In a particularly advantageous manner, the summer / winter selector 26 is arranged to simultaneously move the display member of the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 and the fourth index of legal time 4 by a displacement. corresponding to display one hour more when it goes to summer time position and one hour less when it goes to winter time position.

For this purpose, the summer / winter selector 26 comprises a rocker 28 mounted to pivot on the frame at A and provided with a jumper 29. Said rocker 28 is arranged to cooperate, by a first end 28a with respect to A, with a mechanism control and with the display unit for the time of sunrise and / or sunset 8, and to cooperate, by a second end 28b with respect to A, with a mechanism for correcting the daylight saving time and with a date correction mechanism, as will be described in more detail below.

More particularly, in order to be able to move the display unit for the time of sunrise and / or sunset 8, mounted movably in rotation on the frame, at the time of the summer / winter time change, the rocker 28 of the summer / winter selector 26 is integral in rotation with the display member of the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 by means of a pin 30 integral with said display member 8 and on which the first end 28a of lever 28 is hingedly mounted. The display unit for the time of sunrise and / or sunset 8 also comprises two circular loops 32 concentric with the indexes 4, 10, 12, 14 and in each of which can circulate a pin 34 integral with the frame to guide the rotation of the display member 8. The ends of the straps 32 constitute, for the pins 34, stops corresponding to the stable summer time and winter time positions. The construction is provided so that, when the summer / winter selector 26 goes to the summer time position, the rocker 28, then in the position shown in the figure. figure 2 , rotates counterclockwise and rotates the display member of the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 counterclockwise, by an angle corresponding to display, by means of the second index 10 and / or of the third index 12, a time to get up and / or set more sun as shown in the figure 4 , and so that when the summer / winter selector switches to the winter time position, the rocker 28 pivots clockwise, and rotates said display member of the time of rising and / or setting of the day. sun 8 clockwise, at an angle corresponding to display one less sunrise and / or sunset time, as shown again in the figure 2 .

The display member of the sunrise and / or sunset time being constituted by the date disc 8, the rotation of the display member of the sunrise and / or sunset time clockwise and counterclockwise should be 1/31 th turn, corresponding to one hour.

In a particularly advantageous manner, during summer time / winter time changes, the second and third indexes 10 and 12 indicating the times of sunrise and / or sunset remain fixed and are not moved.

In order to be able to move the fourth index of legal time 4 simultaneously with the display unit for the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 at the time of the summer / winter time change, the rocker 28 of the Summer / winter selector 26 has, at its second end 28b, a first toothed sector 36a arranged to cooperate with a legal time correcting finger 38 of the legal time correcting mechanism. Said legal time correcting finger 38 is capable of rotating the hour wheel 5 which carries the fourth legal time index 4 by an angle corresponding to advancing said fourth legal time index 4 by one. time when switching the summer / winter selector 26 to the summer time position and by an angle corresponding to moving said fourth index of legal time 4 back by one hour when switching the summer / winter selector to the daylight saving time position winter.

More particularly, the legal time correcting finger 38 is pivotally mounted on the frame, being held by a spring 40. The legal time correcting finger 38 comprises a toothed sector 38a meshing with the first toothed sector 36a of the rocker 28 as well as a nozzle 38b arranged to actuate the date driving wheel 16 during the summer / winter time change, said date driving wheel meshing with the hour wheel 5 bearing the fourth index of legal time 4 to add or subtract one hour from legal time. Thus, the date driving wheel 16 and its date finger 22 remain synchronized with the management of the date.

In normal times, apart from any summer / winter time change, the beak 38b of the daylight saving time correcting finger 38 is not in contact with the date driving wheel 16. When switching the summer / winter selector 26 in the summer time position, the rocker 28, then in the position shown on the figure 2 , rotates counterclockwise and rotates the legal time correcting finger 38 clockwise, its beak 38b causing the date driving wheel 16 to rotate one step counterclockwise as shown in figure figure 3 So as to rotate the hour wheel 5 and the fourth index to the standard time of 4 1/12 turn, corresponding to a time, in a clockwise direction to enter a time to standard time, such as show it figure 4 . When switching the summer / winter selector 26 to winter time position, the rocker 28, then in the position shown on the figure 4 , rotates clockwise and drives the daylight saving time correcting finger 38 in an anti-clockwise direction, its beak 38b causing the date driving wheel 16 to rotate one step clockwise as shown in figure figure 5 So as to rotate the hour wheel 5 and the fourth index to the standard time of 4 1/12 turn, corresponding to a time, counterclockwise to subtract one hour in standard time, such as show it again figure 2 .

Preferably, there is provided on the date driving wheel 16 a safety spring 42 for the date finger 22 allowing the release of the date finger 22 in the event that the time change is inadvertently made at midnight, at the time of the day. automatic date change.

The summer / winter selector 26 is also arranged to move the first date index 14 during each change of summer / winter time and its changes to summer time and winter time positions in order to maintain the indexing of said first date index 14 with the date disc 8.

In order to be able to move the first date index 14 simultaneously with the date disc 8 at the time of the summer / winter time change to keep their indexing, the rocker 28 of the summer / winter selector 26 has, at its second end 28b, a second toothed sector 36b arranged to cooperate with a date correcting finger 44 of the date correction mechanism. The first toothed sector 36a and the second toothed sector 36b provided at the second end 28b of the lever 28 can be separate or constitute a single toothed sector, as shown in this example. The date correcting finger 44 is able to drive in rotation the date wheel or star 18 which carries the first date index 14 by an angle corresponding to moving said first date index 14 back by one day when the summer selector passes. / winter 26 in the summer time position and by an angle corresponding to advancing the first date index 14 by one day when the summer / winter selector switches to the winter time position.

More particularly, the date correcting finger 44 is mounted to pivot on the frame and comprises a toothed sector 44a meshing with the second toothed sector 36b of the rocker 28 as well as a beak 44b arranged to actuate the date wheel or star 18 during the summer / winter time change, to move the first date index 14 forward or back by one day. Thus, the first date index 14 and the date disc 8 retain their indexing at the time of the summer / winter time change.

When switching the summer / winter selector 26 to summer time position, the rocker 28, then in the position shown on the figure 2 , rotates counterclockwise and rotates the date correcting finger 44 clockwise, its beak 44b rotating one step in the direction counterclockwise the date wheel or star 18 as shown in figure 3 So as to rotate the first index of calendar 14 of 1/31 th turn, corresponding to a day, in the counterclockwise to push back one day so as to synchronize the date on rotation of the date disc 8, which also corresponds to a day as described above, as shown in the figure 4 . When switching the summer / winter selector 26 to winter time position, the rocker 28, then in the position shown on the figure 4 , pivots clockwise and drives the date corrector finger 44 in an anti-clockwise direction, its beak 44b making the date wheel or star 18 pivot clockwise by one step as shown in figure 5 So as to rotate the first index of calendar 14 of 1/31 th turn corresponding to one day, clockwise to advance it for a day so as to synchronize the date on the new disk rotation date 8, which also corresponds to a day as described above, as shown again by figure 2 .

In addition, the summer / winter time change mechanism according to the invention comprises a control mechanism for the summer / winter selector 26 arranged to change it between its summer time position and its winter time position.

An example of such a control mechanism is shown in the figures 6 to 9 . It is obvious that any other suitable control mechanism can be used to actuate and move the summer / winter selector. In particular a push-button control mechanism, with linear and non-angular travel, can be used. The summer / winter selector control mechanism here comprises a bolt 46 operable by a user and arranged to pivot between two stable positions and alternately move the summer / winter selector 26 from one of its summer time positions to the other. and winter time, namely a summer time position in which said summer / winter selector 26 is in its summer time position and a winter time position in which said summer / winter selector 26 is in its time position winter.

More particularly, the bolt 46 is pivotally mounted by one of its ends in B on the frame of the movement 52. Towards its other end, the bolt 46 comprises a stud 48 arranged to abut against each of the walls of a notch 50 substantially shaped. of V provided on the frame of the movement 52, in order to constitute for the bolt 46 a stop corresponding to its winter time position, as shown in figure 6 , and a stopper corresponding to its summer time position, as shown in the figure 8 . Furthermore, the rocker 28 of the summer / winter selector 26 comprises at its first end 28a a notch 54 substantially U-shaped, each of the walls of the notch 54 corresponding to the branches of the U constituting for the stud 48 of the bolt 46 alternately a support wall for starting to pivot the rocker 28 until the stud 48 abuts against the frame of the movement 52 and a stop when the rocker 28 completes its tilting. On the first end 28a of the rocker is mounted the pin 30 for moving the display member of the sunrise and / or sunset time 8 as described above. The latch 28 has at its second end 28b, on the other side of its pivot point A, the first and second toothed sectors 36a and 36b described above.

The jumper 29 of the rocker 28 of the summer / winter selector 26 comprises at its free end 29a two notches 58 separated by two inclined planes, said notches 58 corresponding to the two stable summer time and winter time positions of the summer / winter selector. 26. The rocker 28 comprises for this purpose in its central zone a positioning pin 60 arranged to engage in one of the two notches 58 of the jumper 29 by positioning the summer / winter selector 26 in the stable summer time position. or corresponding winter time. The lever 28 also comprises in its central zone a loop 62 in which the pivotally mounted end of the bolt 46 can move when the lever 28 pivots. The loop 62 advantageously makes it possible to have a visual on the position occupied by the bolt 46 and therefore by the summer / winter selector 26, the ends of the loop 62 being provided to correspond to the stable summer time and winter time positions of the summer / winter selector 26 and the latch 46.

When changing from winter time to summer time, the bolt 46 and the summer / winter selector 26 then being in the winter time position in accordance with the figure 6 , the bolt 46 is pivoted in B by the user in the counterclockwise direction so that the stud 48 leaves the first wall of the V-shaped notch 50 of the frame of the movement 52 and presses on the wall of the U-shaped notch 54 of the rocker 28 with which it is in contact to rotate said rocker 28 at A in the counterclockwise direction. The jumper 29 pushed by the pin 60 rises so that said pin 60 leaves its notch 58 and is positioned on the adjacent inclined planes of the jumper 29, as shown in the figure. figure 7 . When the stud 48 has reached the second wall of the notch 50 of the frame 52, the pivoting of the lever 28 in the counterclockwise direction is completed by the action of the jumper 29 which presses on the pin 60 so that it engages. in the other notch 58, rotating the latch 28 counterclockwise until the other wall of the U-notch 54 abuts against the stud 48, as shown in figure 8 . The summer / winter selector 26 and the bolt 46 are then in their stable summer time position.

When changing from summer time to winter time, the bolt 46 and the summer / winter selector 26 then being in the summer time position in accordance with the figure 8 , the bolt 46 is pivoted in B by the user in the clockwise direction so that the stud 48 leaves the second wall of the V-shaped notch 50 of the frame of the movement 52 and presses on the wall of the U-shaped notch 54 of the rocker 28 with which it is in contact to rotate said rocker 28 at A in the clockwise direction. The jumper 29 pushed by the pin 60 rises so that said pin 60 leaves its notch 58 and is positioned on the adjacent inclined planes of the jumper 29, as shown in the figure. figure 9 . When the stud 48 has again reached the first wall of the notch 50 of the frame of the movement 52, the pivoting of the lever 28 in the clockwise direction is completed by the action of the jumper 29 which presses on the pin 60 so that ' it engages in the other notch 58, causing the rocker to pivot 28 clockwise until the other wall of the U-notch 54 butts again against the stud 48, as shown in figure 6 . The summer / winter selector 26 and the bolt 46 then returned to their stable winter time position.
