Definitions

  • the present invention concerns a brazier or crucible for a pellet heating apparatus, preferably for a pellet stove, allowing to clean a significant portion of the brazier affected by the presence of combustion residues by means of rotation of the relative bottom and simultaneously obtaining at least a certain side air inflow in the brazier, consistent with a partially pyrolytic combustion.
  • the brazier according to the present invention is also suitable to channel said flow and orient it properly for this purpose.
  • braziers having bottom portions, which may be subject to rotation to the end of the discard of the combustion residues.
  • These braziers present other areas affected by the presence of combustion residues (for example, areas belonging to the combustion surface), but which are not cleaned by means of this rotation, because they remain stationary.
  • the object of the present invention is to devise a self-cleaning brazier for a pellet heating apparatus allowing for quick and convenient cleaning of a greater part of the areas of the brazier affected by the presence of such residues compared to currently known systems.
  • the known self-cleaning braziers do not allow to obtain a partially pyrolytic combustion in the sense referred to above, because of the arrangement of the movable parts with respect to the brazier portions that remain stationary during cleaning of the same. In fact, this arrangement creates ventilation gaps or passages through the brazier bottom, which, when in use, allow a great oxygen inflow at the heart of the combustion area.
  • Another object of the present invention is to devise a self-cleaning brazier for a pellet heating apparatus allowing for quick and convenient cleaning of a greater part of the areas of the brazier affected by the presence of such residues compared to currently known systems and allowing to obtain a more pyrolytic combustion compared to known systems.
  • clinker is easily formed resulting from the aggregation of mineral salts contained in the pellets.
  • the clinker may pose issues related to the passage sections, allowing air inflow in the containment volume of the fuel, which in this case is precisely the pellet.
  • Another object of the present invention is to devise a self-cleaning brazier for a pellet heating apparatus allowing for quick and convenient cleaning of a greater part of the areas of the brazier affected by the presence of such residues compared to currently known systems and allowing to obtain a more pyrolytic combustion compared to known systems, and also allowing to remove any clinker formed on air passage sections.
  • Another object of the present invention is to devise a self-cleaning brazier, which is compact and not bulky.
  • the invention relates, as per claim 1, to a self-cleaning brazier for a pellet heating apparatus, preferably for pellet stoves, comprising a containment body and a bottom rotating with respect to said containment body about an axis of rotation, in a configuration of cleaning of said brazier, to discard the combustion residues, wherein, in a configuration of combustion of said brazier, said bottom defines at least a lower surface of a containment volume, suitable to receive an at least partially solid fuel, and said containment body defines at least partially a side surface of the same containment volume, wherein said brazier comprises at least a first pair and a second pair each of which comprising a protuberance belonging to said bottom, and a recess belonging to said containment body and at least partially counter-shaped to said protuberance, wherein, in said configuration of combustion of the brazier, the protuberance of each of said pairs extends along said side surface and the respective recess of each of said pairs is positioned at said side surface, so that said protuberance may be

  • the respective recess of each of said pairs is formed at a lower edge of said containment body and, in this configuration of combustion of the brazier, it develops entirely between said lower surface and upper opening, preferably with exclusion of said lower surface.
  • the entire bottom surface is movable thanks to the degree of freedom of rotation of the bottom relative to the containment body, and simultaneously the same protuberances which define the air passage can effectively jut out from the bottom itself so as to have a cleaning effect on the same passage sections during this rotation.

  • the fastening means comprise a first removable means of connection suitable to fix a plate for closing said recess.
  • the rotation of the bottom relative to the containment body can reach at least 180 degrees, and preferably at least 360 degrees.
