  • the fan box according to the invention is characterized in that a cutout is provided in at least one of the box walls.
  • An area in the surface of the box wall in which the material of the box wall has been cut out is called a cutout.
  • the cutout can thus also be referred to as a recess or passage opening.
  • the size of the cutout is smaller than the area of the box wall. This means that none of the box walls are completely recessed.
  • an air duct in the fan box is made possible by the box wall, and a mounting or attachment to other components of the extractor hood or to a mounting wall is therefore still possible.

  • the electronics box is detachably or non-releasably inserted into the cutout, that is to say releasably or non-releasably connected to the box wall.
  • directional information such as the top, bottom, front and rear, refer to the fan box when it is installed in the extractor hood.
  • the fan box according to the invention having at least one cutout in at least one box wall, in which an electronics box is at least partially inserted, a number of advantages can be achieved.
  • the cut-out can simplify the insertion of the electronics box, since the cut-out lies in the box wall and this is accessible from the outside at least before the fan box is introduced into the extractor hood. Even after the fan box has been installed in the extractor hood, the cutout and thus also the electronics box introduced into it can still be accessible to the user, for example if the cutout is made in the top wall of the fan box. Since the electronics box is at least partially inserted into the cutout, advantages in terms of the required installation space can also be achieved. In particular, less space is required around the fan box than in the case of a fan box in which the electronics box is applied to the outside of the fan box.
  • the fan box according to the invention however, at least part of the interior of the fan box can be used for part of the electronics box.
  • radio components can be accommodated in the electronics box, the radio signals of which then pass through the cutout can step outside.
  • coupling between the electronic components accommodated in the electronics box and the box wall in which the electronics box is introduced can also be prevented or reduced, since even with a box wall made of metal, at least in the area of the electronics box, this material does not exist due to the cutout. This improves the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • EMC electromagnetic compatibility
  • the cutout is made in the rear wall and / or the top wall of the fan box.
  • the position of the cutout determines the position of the electronics box. If a cutout is thus provided in the top wall of the fan box, an electronics box is also provided in the fan box when it is in the assembled state.
  • the positioning in the upper area of the fan box has the advantage that this area does not lie in the direction of flow of the air that enters the fan box and is intended to reach the inlet openings of the fan in the latter.
  • the top wall is still accessible even after the fan box has been installed on a mounting wall, if necessary after removing a covering part, such as a chimney.
  • the user of the extractor hood can thus access an electronics box, which is inserted in a cutout in the top wall, and plug in the power plug, for example.
  • an electronics box which is inserted in a cutout in the top wall, and plug in the power plug, for example.
  • a cutout can be provided in the rear wall and a cutout in the top wall.
  • An electronics box is then inserted in the cutout in the rear wall and another electronics box in the cutout in the top wall.
  • This embodiment with several electronics boxes has the advantage that the individual electronic components of the extractor hood can be installed in the most suitable positions for them.
  • the required size of the electronics boxes is reduced by dividing the electronic components over several electronics boxes. This in turn leads to a freer positioning of the electronics boxes in the fan box, since one Influencing the flow conditions with a smaller size of the electronics boxes is not to be feared.
  • the electronic components for the voltage supply, a control unit, for example a remote control, and / or communication components, such as radio components can be accommodated in an electronics box, which is introduced, for example, in a cutout in the top wall.
  • the electronic components for the blower motor and its control as well as for a lighting device of the extractor hood can be accommodated, for example, in an electronics box arranged in the lower region of the rear wall.
  • cutouts in the top wall and / or rear wall can also be provided in the side walls or the front wall.
  • the electronics box protrudes beyond the outside of the box wall. Since the electronics box is included in the cutout, the entire height of the electronics box does not protrude beyond the outside of the box wall in this embodiment either. Thus, the advantages of the smaller installation space requirement continue to exist in this embodiment.
  • the part of the electronics box that projects beyond the outside of the box wall is preferably the access side or that of the lid of the electronics box.
  • a plug socket can be provided on the electronics box.
  • the electronics box protrudes beyond the outside for example the top of the top wall, easy accessibility can be ensured. This makes it easy to retrofit customer applications, for example.
  • At least one circuit board is accommodated in the electronics box.
  • the advantages of the invention can be used particularly.
  • the circuit board is parallel with at least one of the box walls, which may result in coupling. Since a cutout is provided in the area of the electronics box in the fan box according to the invention, can Even with a box wall made of metal, such coupling can be prevented.
  • the electronics box can thus be introduced into the cutout in an orientation in which the circuit board is parallel to the surface of the box wall, but due to the cutout there is no material of the box wall in the area of the board.
  • the fan box it is not necessary to insert the electronics box with a circuit board perpendicular to the box wall, which would lead to an increased space requirement in the fan box.
  • the electronics box it is also possible to insert the electronics box into the cutout in such a way that the circuit board contained in the electronics box lies in the surface of the box wall, that is to say in the cutout. With this arrangement of the electronics box, coupling can be completely prevented.
  • At least the box wall in which the cutout for the electronics box is made is made of plastic.
  • plastic in this embodiment, the advantages of simpler installation and the accessibility of the electrical box or boxes, which may also exist after installation, can also be used.
  • the use of plastic as a material further increases the electromagnetic compatibility, at least for the box wall in which the electronics box is to be installed.
  • the other box walls of the fan box can also be made of plastic.
