Description

The present invention relates to a scaffold element that can be used, for example, in a scaffolding in order to be able to provide protection against falling objects or people in an upper region of a scaffold. Such generally L-shaped scaffolding elements, which are constructed essentially vertically to be oriented vertically and have a scaffold elements connected to them, or extending horizontally to be oriented and extending horizontally therefrom, are also generally referred to as protective lattice supports and offer the possibility in the area of the horizontal spars To install general protective grids or rigid protective grids. In order to be able to use such scaffolding elements or protective lattice supports on scaffolding of different widths, it is necessary to have protective lattice supports with different horizontal spar lengths available.

A scaffold element according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from the DE 10 2009 049 726 A1 known. In this known scaffold element, a horizontal spar extension element which is firmly connected to a vertical spar and extends away from it is assigned two horizontal spar extension elements which can be telescopically inserted into or into one another. The assembly comprising the horizontal spar and the two extension elements can thus be positioned or locked in different states pushed into one another, so that a scaffold connection formation provided at one free end of one of the extension elements can be positioned at correspondingly different distances from the vertical spar firmly connected to the horizontal spar .

It is the object of the present invention to provide a scaffolding element, in particular for a scaffolding, which can be adapted in a simple manner to various external designs of a scaffolding.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a scaffolding element, in particular for a scaffolding, according to claim 1. This comprises a substantially vertically orientable vertical spar and a substantially horizontally orientable, extending from the vertical spar horizontal spar, the horizontal spar in its from the vertical spar removed free end region has a first scaffold connection formation for connecting the horizontal spar in its free end region to a scaffold, further comprising a horizontal spar extension element detachably attached or attachable to the free end region of the horizontal spar.

In order to ensure that a horizontal beam extension element connected to a horizontal beam can be connected to a scaffold, the horizontal beam extension element comprises, in its free end region, which is to be positioned at a distance from the free end region of the horizontal beam, a second scaffold connection formation for connecting the horizontal beam extension element in its free end region to a framework.

In the scaffold element constructed according to the invention, depending on the use thereof, in connection with scaffolds of different dimensions, the horizontal spar can either be used in its initial length to enable a connection to a scaffold, or it can be extended with the horizontal spar extension element, so that one and the same scaffold element can also be used for scaffolds with a larger width. This reduces the number of scaffolding elements to be kept ready for erecting a scaffold. In order to be able to achieve the desired variability in use, it is only necessary to have horizontal spar extension elements available in association with the scaffolding elements or at least some of the scaffolding elements and to connect these to the horizontal spars if necessary.

In order to be able to connect a horizontal spar extension element to a horizontal spar in a simple but nevertheless stable manner, it is proposed that the horizontal spar be designed as a hollow component at least in its free end region and that the horizontal spar extension element be inserted into the free end portion of the horizontal spar introduced or to be introduced coupling area. In particular, it can be provided that an inner circumferential contour, preferably an inner square profile, of the horizontal spar in its free end area corresponds to an outer circumferential contour, preferably an outer square section, of the horizontal spar extension element in its coupling area.

A stable coupling of the scaffold element to a scaffold can be achieved, for example, in that the first scaffold connection formation and / or the second scaffold connection formation comprises at least one first opening for the passage of a substantially vertically oriented connection mandrel of a scaffold and at least one second opening for the passage of a locking bolt.

In order to be able to achieve a reliable connection interaction with a connection mandrel of a scaffold with such a locking bolt, it is proposed that an opening center axis of the at least one first opening and an opening center axis of the at least one second opening are oriented essentially orthogonally to one another or / and intersect.

In order to also be able to use the first scaffold connection formation of the horizontal spar for a fixed coupling with the horizontal spar extension element, it is proposed that at least a third opening is provided on the coupling area of the horizontal spar extension element, the at least one third opening in the coupling area of the horizontal spar extension element and for coupling the horizontal spar extension element to the horizontal spar the at least one second opening of the first scaffold connection formation of the horizontal spar are positioned overlapping one another or can be positioned to receive a locking bolt which penetrates them.

In order to be able to ensure a stable connection to a scaffold in the area of the vertical spar, it is proposed that a third scaffold connection formation for connecting the vertical spar in this end area to a scaffold is provided in an end region of the vertical spar connected to the horizontal spar.

In particular when the scaffolding element according to the invention is to be used to provide a protective lattice support, it is advantageous if the scaffolding element is essentially L-shaped.

The invention further relates to a scaffold, in particular scaffolding, comprising at least one scaffold element with the structure described above.

The Fig. 1 shows the upper area, for example the area to be positioned near a roof to be erected, of a scaffold, generally designated 10, for example scaffolding. In its upper region, this scaffold 10 comprises an L-shaped scaffold element 12 with a substantially vertically oriented or to be oriented vertical beam 14 and a substantially horizontally oriented or to be oriented horizontal beam 16. The vertical beam 14 is closed in one in the scaffold 10 at the bottom Positioning end portion 18 connected to the horizontal beam 16, for example by welding. The horizontal spar 14 and the vertical spar 16 are advantageously designed as hollow components, for example the vertical spar 14 can be designed with an essentially circular profile, while the horizontal spar 16 can be designed with a square profile.

In order to be able to provide security measures on the scaffolding 10, a plurality of fastening elements 20 are provided on the vertical spar 14, with which railing elements which are to be oriented essentially horizontally, for example a grid-like protective net or a rigid protective grid, can be connected.

In its end region 22 which is distant from the vertical beam 14, the hoirzontal beam 16 is formed with a first scaffold connection formation 24. This includes a first one Opening 26 with an opening center axis A 1 to be oriented essentially vertically. A connecting mandrel 30 provided on a scaffolding element 28 carrying the scaffolding element 12 and extending substantially vertically can be guided through the first opening 26 of the first scaffolding connection formation.

On both sides of the first opening 26, respective second openings 32 are provided which have a common opening center axis A 2 . The openings 26 and 32 are positioned such that their opening center axes A 1 , A 2 intersect and are substantially orthogonal to one another.

A horizontal spar extension element 34 is constructed with a coupling area 36. This has a square outer contour and can be inserted into the free end region 22 of the horizontal bar 16, which is designed as a hollow component with a square inner contour. A step-like extension 38 defines an insertion stop. For example, the horizontal spar extension element 34 can be inserted and locked together, e.g. Shit, two hollow parts can be obtained. Corresponding to the second openings 32 of the first scaffold connection formation 24, the coupling region 36 has third openings 40. When the coupling region 36 is pushed into the free end region 22, these are aligned with the second openings 32, so that a locking bolt 42 can be guided through these aligned openings 32, 40 and secured by a locking pin 44. In this way, the horizontal spar extension element 34 can be fixedly attached to the free end region 22 of the horizontal spar 16.

A second scaffold connection formation 48 is provided on a free end area 46 of the horizontal bar extension element 34 that is to be positioned at a distance from the free end area 22 of the horizontal bar 16. The second scaffold connection formation 48 is constructed in the same way as the first scaffold connection formation 24 and comprises a first opening 26 with an opening center axis A 1 that is essentially vertically oriented or to be oriented. Furthermore, respective first openings 32 are on both sides of the free end region 46 of the horizontal spar extension element 34 provided which have a substantially horizontally oriented or to be oriented opening center axis A 2 which intersects the opening center axis A 1 of the first opening 26 is orthogonal to it.

As the Fig. 1 this shows, when the scaffold element 12 is attached to a scaffold element 28 of the scaffold 10 positioned or to be positioned underneath, the horizontal spar 16 or the horizontal spar extension element 34 provided thereon with its first opening 26 can be guided over the vertically oriented connecting mandrel 30 of the scaffold element 28. At the same time, the vertical spar 14 with a scaffold connection region 50 formed in the end region 18 thereof is attached to or pushed onto a further connection mandrel provided on the scaffold element 28 and projecting vertically upward therefrom. The arrangement can be such that when the vertical spar 14 stands on a vertical spar 52 of the scaffold element 28 positioned below it, the second openings 32 of the horizontal spar extension element 34 are aligned with a corresponding opening in the connecting mandrel 30 and a locking bolt can be passed through these openings. In this state, the second openings 32 of the third scaffold connection formation 50 are also aligned with an opening in a connection spike projecting upward from the vertical spar 52, so that a locking bolt can also be passed through here.

In the manner described above, the attachment of a horizontal spar extension element 34 and the thus generated extension of the region of the scaffold element 12 to be oriented horizontally makes it possible to also connect this scaffold element 12 to a scaffold 10, in which one of the scaffold elements 12 is closed positioning scaffold element 28 has a comparatively large width. If the scaffold 10 is constructed with narrower scaffold elements 28, the horizontal spar extension element 34 can be removed from the horizontal spar 16 or is not attached to it, so that a connecting mandrel 30 of a then narrower scaffold element 28 through the first opening 26 of the first scaffold connection formation 24 on the horizontal spar 16 can be passed and secured to it by a locking bolt. Since there are generally two standard widths for such scaffolding 10 or scaffold elements 28 are provided, for example a width of approximately 0.73 meters and a width of approximately 1.09 meters, can be easily adapted to these two generally used widths by appropriately dimensioning the horizontal bar 16 on the one hand and the horizontal bar extension element 34 on the other Scaffolding 10 can be guaranteed. Of course, other dimensions or combinations of dimensions of the horizontal bar 16 and of the horizontal bar extension element 34 can also be provided in order to be able to ensure a further adjustment. For example, a plurality of horizontal spar extension elements 34 can also be provided in succession on the horizontal spar 16 in order to be able to cover an even greater width of a scaffolding.

In conclusion, it should be pointed out that the L-shaped scaffold element 12 which has been constructed can be attached, for example, as a protective grid support to scaffolds 10 with scaffold elements 28 of different design and supporting the scaffold element 12. However, the embodiment in which such a scaffold element 28 carrying the assembled scaffold element 12 is constructed with two spaced-apart vertical spars 52, 54 and at least one horizontal spar 56 connecting them to one another in their upper region is particularly advantageous here. Advantageously, the two vertical spars 52, 54 are also connected in a lower end region by a horizontal spar, so that, for example, a scaffold element 28 carrying the scaffold element 12 is provided with an essentially rectangular shape with two horizontal spars and two vertical spars.
