Description

The present invention relates to a fitting for a toe board of a scaffold according to the preamble of claim 1.

A fitting for a toe board of a scaffold, for example scaffolding, according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from EP 2 281 980 A1 known. This known fitting is fixed in a first fitting body end region to a board body of a toe board and extends from this first fitting body end region to a second fitting body end region. In this second fitting body end region, the fitting body of the fitting is essentially orthogonally shaped out of a fitting body base plane in order to provide an offset region. At its end remote from the base plane of the fitting body, the offset region carries a fastening projection which extends essentially over half the extension length of the offset region. For fixing to a scaffold in an area in which a cross member is fixed to a perforated disk of a vertical stick by means of a clamping wedge, a toe board with its fastening projection can be positioned engagingly in a space between the clamping wedge and the outer circumference of the vertical stick. Between the two fitting body end areas, a coupling recess is provided in the fitting body of this known fitting, in which a fitting body of another toe board with its corresponding coupling recess can be positioned to engage, so that in this way two toe boards equipped with such known fittings are used to form one Security border can be coupled together at an angle of approximately 90 °.

It is the object of the present invention to provide a fitting for a toe board of a scaffold which, with a simple construction, ensures a better defined positioning of a toe board on a scaffold.

According to the present invention, this object is achieved by a fitting for a toe board of a scaffold, comprising a first fitting body end area designed for connection to a toe board or / and connected to a toe board to a second fitting body end area designed for attachment to a scaffold Fitting body extending in a longitudinal direction of the fitting body, wherein at least one fastening projection extending essentially in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body is provided in the second fitting body end region.

At least one support projection extending transversely to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body is further provided.

In the case of a fitting constructed according to the invention, the at least one fastening projection and the at least one supporting projection cooperate when a toe board or a fitting thereof is attached to a scaffold. Similar to the prior art, the fastening projection can be positioned engagingly in a space, for example between a clamping wedge and a vertical post of a scaffold, this space being fundamentally larger than the material thickness of the fitting, in particular in the area of its at least one fastening projection. Due to the at least one support projection, which extends essentially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body and thus also essentially transversely to the at least one fastening projection, the fitting can, bridging the space between a clamping wedge and the outer circumference of a vertical stick, be supported with respect to the vertical stick, so that even at a greater distance of the clamping wedge from the outer circumference of the vertical stem, because of the supporting projection bridging this distance, the fitting can be fastened to the scaffolding in a defined position and secured against excessive tilting.

In order to be able to guarantee a defined positioning of the same with respect to a scaffold in the longitudinal direction of a toe board, i.e. to secure the toe board against displacement in its longitudinal direction, the at least one fastening projection is offset in the first transverse direction with respect to a basic body of the fitting body. This offset is achieved in that the fitting body has an offset region which projects substantially in the first transverse direction from the base body plane and carries the at least one fastening projection, the supporting projection extending in the first transverse direction beyond the at least one fastening projection. With the offset area, a fitting can then be supported, for example, on a clamping wedge of a horizontal bar which is engaged by its fastening projection.

It is pointed out that, in the sense of the present invention, the direction of extension transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body can, for example, be an essentially orthogonal direction of extension with respect to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body. Nevertheless, this direction of extension transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body, in particular the first transverse direction, can also deviate from an exact orthogonal orientation with respect to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body.

In order to be able to couple two toe boards which continue in their longitudinal direction in a simple and stable manner to one another in end regions to be positioned adjacent to one another or to fix them to a scaffold, it is proposed that in a second transverse direction substantially orthogonal to the fitting body longitudinal direction and to the first transverse direction two fastening projections are provided in succession.

In order on the one hand to achieve a defined support interaction or fastening effect between the fitting and a scaffold, but on the other hand to also facilitate the fastening of two toe boards in adjacent end regions with a scaffold, it is proposed that the two Fastening projections in the second transverse direction have mutually different extension lengths, or / and that the supporting projection in the second transverse direction follows the two fastening projections, or / and that in the second transverse direction a longer one of the two fastening projections is arranged between the supporting projection and a shorter one of the two fastening projections .

A support interaction by means of the at least one support projection, which is stable even when force is exerted, can be ensured in that the support projection protrudes essentially orthogonally in the first transverse direction from a basic fitting body plane of the fitting body.

For an efficient support effect of the at least one support protrusion with the possibility nevertheless obtained of also connecting two toe boards in adjoining end regions and continuing to fix one another or to fix them on a scaffold, it is proposed that the support protrusion be in a substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body and to the first transverse direction second transverse direction is provided on an offset region end region of the offset region.

According to a further particularly advantageous design principle, it can be provided that a coupling recess is provided in the fitting body between the first fitting body end region and the second fitting body end region in a second transverse direction that is essentially orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the fitting body and to the first transverse direction, the coupling recess being in one Recess base area has at least two coupling slots arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body and essentially extending in the second transverse direction. The at least two coupling slots thus make it possible to couple two fittings or toe boards equipped therewith, for example at an angle of approximately 90 ° to one another in positions offset from one another in accordance with the spacing of the coupling slots.

Dabei entspricht vorzugsweise die Breite der Kopplungsschlitze in der Beschlagkörperlängsrichtung im Wesentlichen einer Materialstärke desThe width of the coupling slots in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body preferably essentially corresponds to a material thickness of the

Fitting body. In the sense of the present invention, this means that the coupling slots are dimensioned such that a fitting body of another toe board or of another fitting can be inserted into it, but is accommodated therein without substantial play.

For reasons of simple and inexpensive production, it is proposed that the fitting body be a sheet metal part.

The invention further relates to a toe board for a scaffold comprising a board body with end areas of the board body which are spaced apart in a longitudinal direction of the board body, a fitting constructed according to the invention being connected to the board body in at least one, preferably both end areas of the board body.

The invention further relates to a scaffold, in particular scaffolding, comprising a plurality of vertical posts and a plurality of horizontal bars connected to the vertical posts, and at least one, preferably a plurality, of toe boards according to the invention.

In this case, at least one horizontal bar can be connected to a vertical post by means of a clamping wedge which reaches through a perforated disk provided on the vertical post. A fastening projection of a fitting of a toe board can be inserted to support the clamping wedge in an intermediate space formed between the clamping wedge and the vertical handle. The at least one support projection provided on this fitting can be supported on the outer circumference of the vertical stick and thus ensure a defined positioning of the toe board which is essentially secured against excessive tilting.

The 1 and 2 show a toe board, generally designated 10, which can be arranged as a securing element in a scaffold, for example scaffolding, near a scaffold floor element extending along the edge region thereof. The toe board 10 has a board body 12, for example made of aluminum material in an extrusion process and elongated in a board body longitudinal direction L B, with two board body end regions 14, 16. On each of the board body end regions 14, 16, the board body 12, which is generally designed as a hollow body, is closed off by a cap element 18 or 20, for example made of plastic material. Together with the respective cap element 18 or 20, a fitting 22, 24 is fixed to each of the board body end regions 14, 16, by means of which the toe board 10 can be attached to a frame. The definition can, for example, in the Fig. 2 indicated rivet elements 26, 28 take place.

The structure of the fittings 22, 24 is described in detail below. It should be pointed out that the two fittings 22, 24 are essentially mirror-symmetrical to one another, but in principle have the same structural elements, which are designated below with the same reference numerals in association with the two fittings 22, 24.

The in Fig. 2 Clearly recognizable fitting 22 has a fitting body, generally designated 30 and designed, for example, as a formed sheet metal part. With a first fitting body end region 32, the fitting body 30 is inserted into the board body 12 and fixed to it in the manner described above. In a second fitting body end region 34, the fitting body 30 is designed for attachment to a scaffolding.

The fitting body 30 extends between its two fitting body end regions 32, 34 in a fitting body longitudinal direction L K , which essentially corresponds to the plank body longitudinal direction L B when the fitting 22 or 24 is attached to the board body. The fitting body 30 lies essentially in a fitting body base plane E. In the second fitting body end region 34 there is an offset region 36 extending transversely, that is to say essentially orthogonally, in a first transverse direction Q 1 from the fitting body base plane E. This can preferably extend essentially over the entire width of the fitting body 30 in a second transverse direction Q 2 with respect to the fitting body longitudinal direction L K. It should be pointed out here that the second transverse direction Q 2 can, for example, be orthogonal to the first transverse direction Q 1 , so that the longitudinal direction of the fitting body L K , the first transverse direction Q 1 and the second transverse direction Q 3 define a coordinate system with mutually orthogonal coordinate axes is.

Dieser steht somit im Wesentlichen orthogonal auf der Beschlagkörper-Grundebene E.On one in the Fig. 2 In the second transverse direction Q 2 , the end region 38 of the offset region 36 lying below is provided in the first transverse direction Q 1 , a support projection 40 which extends further beyond the offset region 36 from the base plane E of the fitting body. This is therefore essentially orthogonal to the base plane E.

In the second transverse direction Q 2 following the support projection 40, a first fastening projection 42, which extends essentially in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body L K , is provided on the offset region 36. The support projection 40 extends in the second transverse direction Q 2 and in the direction away from the base body plane E beyond that area in which the the first fastening region 42 is offset with respect to the base plane E of the fitting and is arranged to extend in the longitudinal direction L K of the fitting.

On the side of the fastening projection 42 facing away from the supporting projection 40, a recess 44 is provided which extends into the offset region 36. This recess is followed by a second fastening projection 46, which, lying in the same plane as the first fastening projection 42, is offset with respect to the basic fitting body plane E and also extends in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body L K. The second fastening projection 46 has a shorter extension length in the second transverse direction Q 2 than the first fastening projection 42 and ends, for example, in front of a second end region 48 of the offset region 36, viewed in the second transverse direction Q 2 .

Between the first fitting body end region 32 designed for connection to the board body 12 and the second fitting body end region 34 designed for fastening to a scaffold, in the region of the fitting body 30 lying in the fitting body base plane E there is a in the second transverse direction Q 2 , and in one direction away from the support projection 40, open coupling recess 50 is provided. The coupling recess 50 has in the fitting body longitudinal direction L K is a length of extension, that is, for example width, which is significantly greater than 30 than the material thickness of the fitting body in a, for example, approximately in the center region, relative to the second transversal direction Q 2, lying bottom portion 52 terminates the Coupling recess 50 in two coupling slots 54, 56 which are arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body L K and essentially extend in the second transverse direction Q 2. The coupling slots 54, 56 have a width in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body L K which essentially corresponds to the material thickness of the Fitting body 30 corresponds or is slightly larger, so that a fitting or a fitting body of another toe board 10 in the in Fig. 2 The recess 50 shown can be inserted so that, for example, the two toe boards can be coupled with one another at an angle of approximately 90 ° with their coupling slots 54. Depending on the installation situation, the two coupling slots 54 can, as already stated, can be positioned in an interlocking manner, or the two coupling slots 56, or the coupling slot 54 of one fitting can be positioned in an interlocking manner with the coupling slot 56 of the other fitting.

The provision of a comparatively wide coupling recess 50 initially enables the two fittings to be coupled to be inserted into one another. At the end of the insertion movement, the mutually engaging coupling slots then ensure a defined coupling of the two toe boards which is essentially secured against tipping.

In order to increase the stability of the fitting body 30, a plurality of bead-like formations 58, 60, which extend for example in the longitudinal direction of the fitting body L K, are provided. These could also or additionally be provided on other areas of the fitting body 30, preferably the area of the same lying in the basic fitting body plane E.

Wie bereits ausgeführt, weist dieser die gleichen und mit gleichen Bezugszeichen bezeichneten Strukturelemente auf, wie der in Fig. 2 detailliert dargestellte Beschlag 22.Below is with reference to the 3 and 4 the fastening of the toe board 10 formed with the fittings 22, 24 to a scaffold, for example a scaffolding, is explained. It should be noted that in the 3 and 4 the board body end region 16 and the fitting 24 provided thereon can be seen. As already explained, this has the same structural elements and the same reference numerals as the one in FIG Fig. 2 fitting 22 shown in detail.

In the 3 and 4 an area of a scaffold 62, for example a scaffolding, can be seen. In this area of the scaffold 62, a vertical post 64 is provided, which extends essentially in a height direction, that is to say in the vertical direction, in the assembled scaffold 62. A perforated disk 66 is fixed to the vertical arm 64, for example by welding. In the illustrated area of the frame 62, two horizontal bars 68, 70 are coupled to the vertical arm 64 by means of the perforated disk 66. Each of the horizontal bars 68, 70 has for coupling to the vertical post 64 or Perforated disk 66 has a wedge head 72, which is positioned with a jaw opening 74 encompassing the perforated disk 66 in the region of a hole thereof. A clamping wedge 76 provided on the wedge head 72 can be passed through the opening of the perforated disk 66 encompassed by the wedge head 72 and thus firmly anchor the respective wedge head 72 and thus the horizontal bar 70 or 68 to the vertical bar 64. In this state, an upwardly open intermediate space Z is formed between the region 78 of the clamping wedge 76 which projects above the wedge head 72 and the vertical stem 64. This space Z is used to in the 3 and 4 also attach recognizable toe board 10 with its fitting 24 to the frame 62.

For this purpose, the fitting 24 with its fitting body end region 34 or the first fastening projection 42 provided thereon, engaging behind the region 78 of the clamping wedge 76, is inserted into the intermediate space Z from above. The support protrusion 40 is dimensioned such that its protrusion length beyond the first fastening protrusion 42 is such that when the first fastening protrusion 42 abuts or is supported on the region 78, the support protrusion 40 is supported on the vertical post 64 or is only at a short distance therefrom. The fitting 24 is thus accommodated with its second fitting body end region 34 with only a slight movement clearance in the intermediate space Z between the region 78 of the clamping wedge 76 and the vertical handle 64, so that the toe board 10 is secured approximately against the depiction of FIG Fig. 4 has a corresponding orientation essentially parallel to the direction of extension of the vertical stick 64. Due to the engagement of the first fastening projection 42 in the intermediate space Z and the inevitably occurring support of the supporting projection 40 on the vertical handle 64, a stable fastening or hooking of the toe board 10 on the scaffold 62 is ensured even under the action of gravity.

Due to the small excess of the space Z required to enable the insertion of the first fastening projection 42 into the space Z, the toe board 10 becomes the in FIG Fig. 4 Do not actually take the shown exactly parallel alignment to the vertical stem 64, but at a small angle with respect be tilted so that the in Fig. 4 also recognizable second fastening projection 46 will actually have a somewhat greater distance from the vertical post 64 than the first fastening projection 42. This is used in the manner described below to also include a second toe board in the in the 3 and 4 area shown, the toe board 10 in its board body longitudinal direction L B continuing to be able to attach to the scaffold 62.

Since the toe board 10 with its fitting 24 and also its fitting 22 is fastened to the scaffold 62 essentially free of play and secured against excessive tilting, there is a risk that the toe board 10 may be inadvertently lifted out of the intermediate space Z when a access hatch is opened, largely eliminated. Defined positioning and excessive tilting of the toe boards with respect to one another is also avoided when two toe boards are coupled at an angle of 90 ° to one another using the coupling recesses 50 in the fittings 22 and 24 thereof.

If two toe boards are to be connected to one another in the respective board body longitudinal direction L B with the scaffold 62, as can be seen in FIG Fig. 5 is shown, first one of the toe boards, namely that in Fig. 5 the toe board 10, which extends to the right with respect to the vertical stick 64, is fastened with its fitting 22 to the frame 62 in the manner described above in such a way that the first fastening projection 42 thereof engages behind the region 78 of the clamping wedge 76, the in FIG Fig. 5 not visible support projection of the fitting 22 is supported on the vertical handle 64. That in the Fig. 5 with respect to the vertical stick 64, toe board 10 extending to the left is brought into a position rotated by 180 ° about its longitudinal axis L B , so that its coupling recess 50 is open at the bottom, while the coupling recess 50 is already fixed to the frame 62 and to the right extending toe boards 10, as in the case of 3 and 4 , is open at the top and is ready in the manner described above for coupling to a toe board extending orthogonally to this toe board 10. That in the Fig. 5 toe board, which extends to the left, is inserted with its two fastening projections 46, 42 from above into the space between the fastening projections 42 and 46 of the toe board 10 already attached to the scaffold 62 and the vertical handle 64, which is possible due to the aforementioned slight tilting of the already attached toe board 10. Since the one in the Fig. 5 to the left extending and still to be fixed toe board due to its rotation through 180 ° of the support projection 40 of the fitting 22 of the same above, it hinders the insertion of the fastening projections 42, 46 of this fitting 22 behind the projections 42, 46 of the frame 62 attached fitting 22 not.

The toe board 10 extending to the left engages with its fastening projection 46 the fastening projection 42 of the toe board 10 already fastened to the scaffold 62 and with its fastening projection 42 engages behind the fastening projection 46 of the other toe board 10. The toe board 10 which extends to the left can move in the direction towards are pushed down so far until the support projection 40 of the same abuts the vertical handle 64, in order to achieve a clamping, wedge-like fastening effect both for this toe board 10 and for the toe board 10 already attached to the frame 62. In this state, the two toe boards are approximately at the same height or have no or only a slight offset from one another in the height direction, that is to say the direction of extension of the vertical stick 64.

It should finally be pointed out that the above-described configuration of a fitting for a toe board also with a different design of a toe board itself, for example when the board body is designed as a wooden component, or also with a different configuration of the scaffold itself, that is to say in particular also of a different type the coupling between the vertical supports and the horizontal bars, can be used. All that is required is a space between, for example, a vertical post and an organ arranged at a distance from it to create the space Z. This could, for example, also be formed on a horizontal spar which is permanently connected to a vertical post and which projects upwards.

It should also be pointed out that the two fastening projections can also be provided as an integral bend from the offset area which merges into one another. The provision of especially in Fig. 2 Recognizable recess 44 can be advantageous in order to create space for, for example, components provided on the vertical handle, or to avoid mutual interference between a fitting and such a component, however, the manner described above for fastening a toe board to a scaffold enable.
