Definitions
- the present invention relates to a mullion and transom construction, in particular for facades or light roofs, with an upper post which is supported on a lower post, a drainage channel being formed on the upper post, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the EP 1 959 067 discloses a facade a light roof for buildings in which metallic post and transom profiles are used.
- drainage grooves are formed on the post profiles adjacent to a screw groove. If two posts are placed on top of each other, the drainage grooves are aligned so that penetrating moisture is guided over the entire height of the post profiles. Especially with longer posts, it is desirable to drain water from the drainage channel above a lower collection point.
- the EP 846 832 discloses a post-and-beam construction with a drainage part which can be inserted into drainage grooves from the outside.
- the post-and-bar construction comprises an upper post and a lower post, between which a sealing element is arranged at least in the area of the drainage channel, and the water in the drainage channel above the sealing element is drained from the drainage channel.
- a sealing element is arranged at least in the area of the drainage channel, and the water in the drainage channel above the sealing element is drained from the drainage channel.
- the drainage channel is on the upper post as a closed, running in the longitudinal direction of the post Hollow chamber is formed and at least one drainage opening is provided above the sealing element.
- the closed cross-section of the drainage channel has the advantage that the water is drained away in the non-visible area, at least one drainage opening being provided for draining the water, in particular on an outside of the post.
- the sealing element is preferably formed from a resilient material which is inserted between the walls of the upper and lower posts.
- the sealing element can be designed in the form of a plate and, for example, have a thickness between 0.1 mm to 4 mm, in particular 1 mm to 3 mm.
- the sealing element seals the drainage channel so far that the water running down in the upper post no longer runs through the drainage channel and / or further chambers, channels and grooves, but is drained off via the at least one drainage opening.
- the sealing element is preferably molded onto a sealing piece on which an injection channel for sealing compound is formed. Then, after assembly of the sealing element, sealing compound can be injected into the drainage channel, for example in order to bridge a distance between the sealing element and the drainage opening on the upper post. In the preferred embodiment, the sealing compound is then injected into the upper post up to the drainage opening, so that water running down in the drainage channel hits the sealing compound and is then drained through the drainage opening.
- the sealing element is molded onto a sealing piece, which is fixed with at least one strip on a groove of the upper and / or lower post.
- a drainage slope can be formed on a bar on the upper post in order to drain off the water emerging from the drainage opening.
- the upper post and the lower post can have an identical cross-sectional profile, so that the posts can be cut to the desired length and reassembled.
- a connector can be used at the connection point between the upper and lower posts, in particular a connector for insertion into a hollow chamber.
- the posts 2 and 2 ' can be made of metal, in particular aluminum, and have one or more hollow chambers and grooves, a connector 3 being inserted in a hollow chamber in order to fix the upper post 2 in a stable manner on the lower post 2' .
- the posts 2 and 2 ' can be used for a post-and-beam construction 1 in a facade, a light roof, a sloping roof or other structures.
- filling elements such as insulating glass panes, are usually fixed to the edge of sealing strips.
- grooves are provided on the posts 2 and 2 ', into which two parallel and spaced-apart sealing strips 5 are drawn on an outside.
- a groove 6 is formed on the posts 2 and 2 ', which is used to fix fastening means, in particular to mount a pressure strip on the posts 2 and 2' in order to fix the filling elements to the sealing strips 5 in a clamping manner.
- FIG. 2 a sectional view through the post 2 is shown, which has a substantially rectangular hollow chamber into which the connector 3 is inserted.
- Grooves 4 for fixing the sealing strips 5 and a central groove 6 are formed on an outer side.
- a drainage channel 7 is formed behind the groove bottom of the groove 6 and runs in a closed hollow chamber.
- Further hollow chambers 8, which are each provided adjacent to the grooves 4, are formed adjacent to the drainage channel 7.
- a sealing piece 10 In order to discharge any water from the drainage channel 7 at the transition between the upper post 2 and the lower post 2 ', a sealing piece 10 is provided.
- a plate-shaped sealing element 11 is formed on the sealing piece 10 and ensures a seal at least in the area of the drainage channel 7.
- the plate-shaped sealing element 11 has a thickness between 0.1 and 4 mm, in particular 1 mm to 3 mm, and is made of a hard or elastic, preferably sealing material, for example EPDM, plastic or rubber.
- the sealing element 11 is not only arranged within the cavity of the drainage channel 7, but between the walls of the posts 2 and 2 ', so that the sealing element 11 is clamped between the upper post 2 and the lower post 2'.
- the sealing element 11 is T-shaped in the vertical view, so that the sealing strips 5 can run continuously between the upper and lower posts 2 and 2 '.
- the sealing piece 10 and / or the sealing element 11 can also be made of a hard material, for example a film, the sealing either being effected by the sealing compound or by the sealing element 11. It is also possible to use two or more different materials for the sealing piece 10 and / or the sealing element 11. For example, a dimensionally stable core could be provided with a soft or elastic covering or partial covering in order to then be mounted on the post 2.
- the sealing piece 10 also has an upper bar 12 and, in a preferred embodiment, an optionally provided lower bar 13.
- the lower bar 13 is inserted into the groove 6 on the lower post 2 ′, while the upper bar 12 is inserted into the groove 6 of the upper post 2.
- a drainage slope 16 is formed on the upper side of the upper strip 12 and extends downwardly from the bottom of the groove 6 to an outside.
- an injection channel 14 is also formed, which is guided into the drainage channel 7 of the upper post 2 via a tubular section 15.
- the sealing piece 10 is mounted between the lower post 2 ′ and the upper post 2, the tubular section 15 being inserted into an opening 20 on the upper post 2.
- the opening 20 extends through the bottom of the groove 6 and opens into the drainage channel 7.
- Another opening 21 on the upper post 2 is arranged above the opening 20 and likewise extends through the bottom of the groove 6 and opens into the drainage channel 7.
- the sealing piece 10 is fixed to the upper post 2 in such a way that the tubular section 15 is inserted into the lower opening 20 so that sealing compound can now be injected via the injection channel 14 into the drainage channel 7 of the upper post 2.
- the sealing element 11 prevents the sealing compound from being able to get into the drainage channel 7 on the lower post 2 '. Rather, the sealing compound is pressed upward during the injection process until it becomes visible at the lower edge of the opening 21, so that the injection process is ended.
- the sealing element 11 is molded onto a sealing piece 10. It is of course also possible to arrange the sealing element 11 as a film, plate or other element between the upper post 2 and the lower post 2 ′ in the area of the drainage channel 7.
- the sealing element 11 can, for example, be designed as a molded part that is inserted into the drainage channel 7 in a clamping manner and then serves either directly to drain the water or as a limiting element when filling in sealing compound. It is therefore not necessary for the sealing element to be arranged exactly in the plane of separation between the upper post 2 and the lower post 2 '.
- the injection of sealing compound can take place not only via the injection channel 14, but also through an opening 20 at the bottom of the groove 6 of the post 2, the injection tool being placed directly on the opening 20.
- an opening to the drainage channel 7 can also be made directly above the sealing element 11 so that the water flowing down through the drainage channel 7 hits the sealing element 11 and can be drained to the outside at an adjacent opening .

Description
The present invention relates to a mullion and transom construction, in particular for facades or light roofs, with an upper post which is supported on a lower post, a drainage channel being formed on the upper post, according to the preamble of
It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a post-and-beam construction which enables water to be drained from a drainage channel even at a connection point between two posts.
This object is achieved with a post-and-bar construction with the features of
According to the invention, the post-and-bar construction comprises an upper post and a lower post, between which a sealing element is arranged at least in the area of the drainage channel, and the water in the drainage channel above the sealing element is drained from the drainage channel. As a result, water can be drained from the drainage channel at a connection point between two posts, so that the accumulating water is reduced at a (lower) collecting point below. In addition, if water penetrates, it can be drained off again just below the point of penetration without running down through the entire structure.
According to the invention, the drainage channel is on the upper post as a closed, running in the longitudinal direction of the post Hollow chamber is formed and at least one drainage opening is provided above the sealing element. The closed cross-section of the drainage channel has the advantage that the water is drained away in the non-visible area, at least one drainage opening being provided for draining the water, in particular on an outside of the post.
The sealing element is preferably formed from a resilient material which is inserted between the walls of the upper and lower posts. For this purpose, the sealing element can be designed in the form of a plate and, for example, have a thickness between 0.1 mm to 4 mm, in particular 1 mm to 3 mm. The sealing element seals the drainage channel so far that the water running down in the upper post no longer runs through the drainage channel and / or further chambers, channels and grooves, but is drained off via the at least one drainage opening.
The sealing element is preferably molded onto a sealing piece on which an injection channel for sealing compound is formed.
In a further embodiment, the sealing element is molded onto a sealing piece, which is fixed with at least one strip on a groove of the upper and / or lower post. In this case, a drainage slope can be formed on a bar on the upper post in order to drain off the water emerging from the drainage opening.
For easy assembly, the upper post and the lower post can have an identical cross-sectional profile, so that the posts can be cut to the desired length and reassembled. A connector can be used at the connection point between the upper and lower posts, in particular a connector for insertion into a hollow chamber.

Between the

In order to discharge any water from the
The
The sealing
In the area of the
The
If water collects in the
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the sealing
In addition, the injection of sealing compound can take place not only via the
If you do not want to inject sealing compound, an opening to the
