Description

The present invention relates to a cleaning brush for cleaning clothing in textile machines. Such cleaning brushes, or also called cleaning rollers, are used in various, fiber-processing, garnished textile machines.

In textile machines, trimmings in various forms are used to transport fibers or to clean fibers. The sets are mostly on rollers or so-called carding or combing elements. These sets become dirty during operation, they are contaminated by dirt and dust which adheres to the fibers to be processed or by fiber residues. In order to guarantee a constant quality of the products, the sets used must be cleaned. This cleaning is usually done automatically during operation.

Various designs of cleaning rollers are known from the prior art. For example, the EP 1 763 597 a cleaning brush made of a basic body with cleaning bristles attached therein. Further discloses the DE 43 34 246 a brush for cleaning garnished rollers which has bristle brushes arranged on the circumference.

Also known from the prior art are cleaning rollers made of a roller body with gauze strips applied spirally to the roller body. The granite strips are cut out of previously made needles. Such needle cloths consist of fabrics or nonwovens with U-shaped wire hooks pierced therein. The ends of the wire hooks form the bristles and can have various dimensions and shapes that are tailored to the intended application.

DE 10 2009 016 151 discloses a disk-like rotary brush tool, which comprises a brush belt with a flexible brush belt body and bristles protruding from the top thereof, and a holding and drive body. Between the underside of the brush belt body and the circumferential surface of the holding and drive body, a gap that runs around in a gap-like manner is provided. This space is covered with an elastic potting compound. All cleaning brushes or cleaning rollers known from the prior art have the disadvantage that they have to be completely replaced or have to be repaired after extensive wear and tear.

Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Reinigungsbürste zu schaffen, welche sich durch einen einfachen Aufbau auszeichnet und einen einfachen Ersatz der Reinigungselemente ermöglichtThe invention has for its object to provide a cleaning brush, which is characterized by a simple structure and allows easy replacement of the cleaning elements

The object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments are defined in the subclaims.

To solve the problem, a cleaning brush with a shaft and with cleaning elements pushed onto the shaft is proposed.

The cleaning elements are provided for attachment to a cylindrical base body, for example a shaft. The cleaning elements are designed as cylindrical hollow elements with a longitudinal axis and comprise a skeleton and a needle cloth applied to the skeleton. The skeleton is connected to the needle cloth via a rubber casting compound and an inner surface of the cleaning element facing the longitudinal axis is formed by the skeleton or the rubber casting compound.

The skeleton is formed by support rings arranged at certain intervals concentrically to the longitudinal axis, which are held above one or more webs running in the direction of the longitudinal axis. A needle cloth is applied to the support rings. The interior of the cylinder formed by the needle cloth is then filled with a rubber casting compound, for example synthetic rubber. According to a desired shape, an interior is excluded from the rubber casting compound and a cylindrical hollow element is formed. In this way, the needle cloth is connected to the skeleton by the rubber casting compound, the regions of the needle cloth between the support rings of the skeleton also being supported by the rubber casting compound. Alternatively, the skeleton comprises an inner sleeve on which the webs running in the longitudinal direction are supported.

In a further embodiment, the skeleton is formed by a sleeve arranged concentrically to the longitudinal axis. The needle cloth is brought into a cylindrical shape and inserted into a device which supports the needle cloth from the outside.

The skeleton is arranged in the form of a sleeve within the cylindrical needle cloth. The space between the skeleton or the sleeve and the needle cloth is then filled with a rubber casting compound. Due to the rubber sealing compound, the needle cloth is connected to the sleeve. Embodiments of this type are particularly suitable when the cleaning elements are only subjected to weak loads during operation due to the properties of the rubber casting connecting the sleeve to the needle cloth.

The skeleton can be made of metal or plastic. The skeleton or at least one skeleton element is advantageously produced as an injection molded part made of polyamide.

In a first embodiment, the skeleton is designed at its ends in such a way that the ends of the skeletons of two adjacent cleaning elements engage in one another in such a way that they are held against one another in a rotationally fixed manner. This can be achieved, for example, by the formation of interlocking teeth or by an appropriate formation of the webs.

In a second embodiment, a coupling piece is provided. The skeleton of two adjacent cleaning elements is designed at its ends in such a way that the ends of two adjacent cleaning elements engage with the coupling piece in between such that the cleaning elements are held against one another in a rotationally fixed manner, the coupling piece being received in the cleaning elements. The coupling piece is pushed onto the base body between two cleaning elements. The ends of the cleaning elements are designed in such a way that the coupling piece engages in the skeleton of the cleaning element, for example via a toothing or pins, and there is no gap between the cleaning elements after two adjacent cleaning elements have been pushed together. The coupling piece fits perfectly into the skeletons of two adjacent cleaning elements and the non-rotatable bracket is realized within the cleaning elements. This gives the advantage that the skeleton of the cleaning element has no elements protruding beyond the length of the applied needle cloth.

In the same way, the cleaning elements are held on the cylindrical base body in a rotationally fixed manner. For this purpose, the cylindrical base body has at least at one of its ends a counterpart corresponding to the design of the end of the cleaning element or of the coupling piece. This makes it possible to keep several cleaning elements on a single base body in a rotationally fixed manner, to design the base body as an elongated shaft and to produce the cleaning elements themselves as standardized, short hollow bodies that are easy to manufacture. The cleaning elements and, depending on the embodiment, the associated coupling pieces are pushed onto the shaft and braced in their entirety in the direction of the longitudinal axis in a known manner, for example by screws, nuts, clamping rings or the like.

In a further embodiment, the non-rotatable holder on the base body is ensured by the fact that the inner surface of the cleaning elements has depressions or elevations which extend in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The base body has the corresponding reflection of the elevations or depressions of the cleaning elements, as a result of which there is a form-fitting and thus non-rotatable connection between the cleaning elements and the base body. Because the depressions or ridges extend in the direction of the longitudinal axis, the cleaning elements can be displaced on the base body. Several cleaning elements can be pushed onto the same base body in succession.

In a preferred embodiment, the skeleton is provided with an inner sleeve on which the webs are arranged, the webs in turn holding the outer support rings. The inner surface of the cleaning element facing the base body is formed by the inner surface of the skeleton or the sleeve assigned to the skeleton. The shape of the sleeve is such that a positive connection with the base body can be established.

An at least partially uniform cylindrical shape of the inner dimensions of the sleeve is also to be regarded as a form fit with a smooth shaft. A positive connection is also to be understood as an embodiment in which ribs spaced apart from one another are provided in the sleeve and come to rest on the base body. In this version, the space which is delimited by the needle cloth and the sleeve is filled with a rubber casting compound.

The skeleton of a cleaning element can be composed of several components, the components having plug connections with one another. This enables the production of skeletal elements in uniform dimensions. These skeletal elements are then assembled directly or with the aid of intermediate elements to form a skeleton of a cleaning element of the required length. An intermediate element is to be understood as a component which is characterized in that it only serves to connect two skeleton elements to form a skeleton of a cleaning element. In contrast to a skeleton or skeleton element, the intermediate element itself has no web or support ring. By choosing intermediate elements of different lengths, skeletons can be made available in any length by producing individual skeletal elements with differently dimensioned intermediate elements for the production of cleaning elements.

The needle cloth used is designed as a customary fabric or fleece intended for use in cleaning brushes with U-shaped wire hooks pierced therein. The shape of the wire hook or its length is to be adapted to the use and can be designed in different ways. The distribution of the wire hook over the circumference or the length of the cleaning element can be carried out evenly or according to a certain pattern. The so-called needling of the needle cloth depends on the later use of the corresponding cleaning element. The needle cloth is applied to the skeleton in such a way that the needle cloth is cut to the required size and shaped into a cylinder. The ends of the needle cloth now abutting can be connected by gluing, sewing or welding. After that it will Needlecloth placed over the skeleton support rings. The needle cloth is then fixed on the skeleton, for example with the help of glue. It is also conceivable that the skeleton with the needle cloth is inserted into a corresponding shape which surrounds the needle cloth and thus fixes it in relation to the inner skeleton.

The rubber casting compound is then introduced into the cavity of the skeleton, whereby the skeleton is connected to the needle cloth on the one hand and the stable cylindrical shape of the cleaning element is achieved on the other hand. The use of a rubber potting compound has the advantage that the needle cloth is elastically supported and thus a greater cleaning effect can be achieved due to the greater freedom of movement of the wire hooks. If the rubber sealing compound were omitted, however, the needle cloth would be too flexible and too little pressure could be applied to an object to be cleaned.

The cleaning brush according to the invention comprises a shaft and cleaning elements pushed onto the shaft according to one of the above embodiments. Depending on the needs, cleaning brushes can be put together by varying the length, number, size and size of the applied cleaning elements. The rotationally fixed connection of the cleaning elements to one another and to the shaft is carried out by appropriate design of the cleaning elements and the shaft or by using appropriate coupling pieces.

Figure 1 and Figure 2 show a schematic representation of a first embodiment of a cleaning element 1, wherein Figure 1 the cross section and Figure 2 the longitudinal section at point AA Figure 1 represents. The two figures are considered together below. The cleaning element 1 with its longitudinal axis 4 is held on a cylindrical base body 2 and comprises a skeleton 3 with an external needle cloth 5. The skeleton 3 is composed of support rings 8 arranged concentrically to the longitudinal axis 4 and on webs 9 running in the direction of the longitudinal axis 4 are held. The webs 9 are in turn mounted on a sleeve 10. The sleeve 10 is cylindrical and has a surface 7 facing the base body 2. The cleaning element 1 is supported on the base body 2 via this surface 7. The nature of the surface 7 can be smooth or structured. A needle cloth 5 is applied over the concentrically arranged support rings 8. The needle cloth 5 has wire hooks 12 pierced therein distributed over the surface. The wire hooks 12 are shown schematically in the figures and can have different sizes, shapes and lengths.

The space between the needle cloth 5 and the sleeve 10 of the skeleton 3 is filled with a rubber casting compound 6. This creates a connection between the skeleton 3 and the needle cloth 5. In this way, the needle cloth 5 is given a stable cylindrical shape and can be pushed onto the base body 2 via the skeleton 3.

The extension of the cleaning element 1 in the direction of the longitudinal axis 4 does not in all cases correspond to the length of the base body 2 to be provided with the cleaning elements 1. The skeleton 3, in the embodiment shown the sleeve 10 of the skeleton 3, is formed with teeth 11 at its ends . If two cleaning elements 1 are now pushed onto the base body 2, the teeth 11 engage in one another and the two cleaning elements 1 are coupled to one another in a rotationally fixed manner. The same toothing 11 can be used on at least one end of the base body 2 to hold the cleaning elements 1 on the base body 2 in a rotationally fixed manner (not shown).

In Figure 3 Another embodiment of a cleaning element 1 is shown schematically in a longitudinal section. The cleaning element 1 is pushed onto a base body 2. In the embodiment shown, the cleaning element 1 comprises a skeleton 3, which is composed of several components 14, 15. Two identical skeleton elements 14 are shown which are connected to an intermediate element 15. Each of the skeletal elements 14 has a sleeve 10 and support rings 8 arranged concentrically to the longitudinal axis 4, each of which is held by a web 9. The intermediate element 15 only serves to couple the skeletal elements 14 and has no support rings 8 or webs 9. The intermediate element 15 creates a rotationally fixed coupling of the skeleton elements 14 with the aid of a toothing 11 provided at the ends of the skeleton elements 14. By using different lengths of the intermediate element 15, arbitrary lengths of the cleaning elements can be provided with standardized skeleton elements 14. A needle cloth 5 with wire hooks 12 pierced therein is applied over the entire skeleton 3 or its support rings 8. The space between the sleeve 10 and the needle cloth 5 is filled with a rubber sealing compound 6.

Figure 4 shows a further embodiment of a cleaning element 1 in a schematic representation in a cross section. The cleaning element 1 comprises a skeleton and a needle cloth 5 applied over the skeleton with wire hooks 12 inserted therein. The skeleton is composed of concentrically arranged support rings 8 which are held by webs 9. The skeleton and the needle cloth 5 connecting rubber potting compound 6 is introduced in such a way that in turn a hollow element is formed which, however, has an inner surface which has a structure or shape matched to a base body 2. An example is in Figure 4 the formation of two elevations 13 in the cleaning element 1. When in use, these elevations 13 engage in corresponding recesses in the base body 2 and in this way result in a form-fitting and therefore non-rotatable connection between the cleaning element 1 and a base body 2. The base body 2 can be designed, for example, as a splined shaft be.

Figure 5 shows a schematic representation of the structure of a cleaning brush. Several cleaning elements 1 are held on a shaft 2. A first cleaning element 1 is pushed onto the shaft 2 and held in a clamping element 18. The clamping element 18 is designed such that the cleaning element 1 is held in a rotationally fixed manner. Before a second cleaning element 1 is pushed on, a coupling piece 16 is applied to the shaft 2. The coupling piece 16 is non-rotatably connected to it via a toothing provided in the cleaning element 1. Instead of a toothing, other connections such as pins are also conceivable, which lead to a rotationally fixed connection of cleaning element 1 and coupling piece 16. A second cleaning element 1 is now pushed onto the shaft 2 in the direction of the longitudinal axis 4 and in the direction of the arrow 17 against the first cleaning element 1. By appropriately designing the cleaning element 1, the second cleaning element 1 also engages in the coupling piece 16. This leads to a rotationally fixed connection of the two cleaning elements 1 via the inserted coupling piece 16. The coupling piece 16 is completely received by the two cleaning elements 1, so that in the fully assembled state Condition the cleaning elements 1 lie against each other without a gap.
