Definitions
- the invention relates to a profiled rail system for bridging expansion joints, recesses and / or edge termination of floor coverings.
- U1 is a generic profile rail system known. It consists of two profiled rails, which are telescopic against each other. Each of these profile rails has a deck leg, which covers the underlying expansion joint. One of the two profile rails is formed in two parts, wherein the second part is essentially formed by a base leg. Both parts are bolted together. The base leg and the top leg of the other rail have stops in operative connection with each other, which limit the lateral extent of the profile rail system.
- This profile rail system has proven itself many times in practice and forms the starting point of the present invention.
- the profile rails In order to correctly cover the expansion joint, recess and / or edge joint with the profile rail system, the profile rails have mutually overlapping cover legs.
- these deck legs are designed such that they are the only visible components of the profile rail system when installed. Moving the rails, for example, by an expansion of the floor covering relative to each other, so the mutual overlap of the deck leg changes. In this way, the profile rail system can compensate for the longitudinal extent of the floor covering. In particular, floating floor coverings can therefore easily expand and contract, without encountering solid obstacles and thereby destroyed.
- the at least one first profile rail also has at least one base leg, which forms at least one pocket together with the at least one cover leg of the at least one first profile rail.
- This at least one pocket serves to receive the at least one cover leg of the at least one second profiled rail, so that a telescopic connection is produced between the profiled rails.
- at least one first stop is provided on at least one base limb of the at least one first profiled rail and is in operative connection with at least one second stop of the at least one second profiled rail.
- This at least one second stop can be mounted, for example, directly on at least one cover leg of the at least one second rail.
- the at least one second profile rail may also have at least one base leg, on which the at least one second stop is attached.
- the profile rails can no longer be pulled away from one another.
- the relative movement of the rails apart is therefore limited by these attacks.
- These Limitation is important to prevent the rails from disengaging. If, at a later date, the floor coverings expand again, the profile rails are aligned correctly with respect to one another and can shift against each other again. On the other hand, if they were disengaged, the telescopic connection could block and prevent adaptation of the profiled rail system.
- the position in which the abutment abut each other is thus the position in which the profile rail system is furthest apart and is called in the following expansion position.
- the smallest possible overlap of the cover legs is selected in the expansion position.
- the ratio of this overlap to the clear height of the at least one pocket is less than or equal to 0.5.
- the ratio between the mutual overlap of the cover legs in the expansion position and the clear height of the at least one pocket is less than or equal to 0.2.
- only one of the rails can be pivoted in the rule, which is problematic in part at the immediately adjacent wall. This application therefore requires a correspondingly lower overlap of the deck legs in order to assemble the profile rail system.
- a ratio between the overlap of the deck legs in the expansion position to clear height of the at least one bag has proven at least 0.05.
- the stops have at least one groove and spring, which are designed to match each other.
- This groove and spring thereby form a pivot axis for pivoting the at least one first profiled rail relative to the at least one second profiled rail.
- this pivot axis is defined only in the expansion position.
- the profile rail system in operation in the expansion position, the entanglement between the groove and the spring to a very precise alignment of the rails against each other, so that a later compression of the rails is easily possible.
- At least one of the cover legs has at least one third stop.
- This at least one third stop cooperates either with at least one stop of the at least one base leg or the at least one cover leg of the opposite rail.
- This additional third stop ensures a safer connection between the rails.
- it can be used very easily for aligning the profile rails correctly when mounting the profile rail system before they are hooked together.
- the FIG. 1 shows a spatial representation of a first embodiment of a profiled rail system 1 in a middle position.
- the profile rail system 1 consists of a first rail 2 and a second rail 3. Both rails 2, 3 are connected by webs 4 with floor coverings 5, in particular glued.
- the embodiment according to FIG. 1 is optimized for thin floor coverings 5, especially laminate, carpet and PVC floors.
- Both rails 2, 3 have cover legs 6, which overlap each other and bridge a joint 7.
- the first rail 2 also has a base leg 8, which is equipped at the end with a first stop 10.
- the deck leg 6 of the second rail 3 has a second stop 11, which cooperates with the first stop 10.
- third stops 13 are also provided, which support the action of the first stop 10 and second stop 11.
- the rails 2, 3 are first connected to the adjacent floor coverings 5. The rails 2, 3 are then pushed together so far that the second stop 11 comes to rest on the top of the first stop 10, without both rails 2, 3 against each other are engaged. Subsequently, the profile rail system 1 is slightly raised with the adjacent floor coverings 5, so that the position according to FIG. 3 is reached.
- the overlap 14 of the cover legs 6 of the first and second rails 2, 3 is located in the expansion position.
- a clear height 15 of the bag 12 is shown.
- the overlap 14 is chosen in relation to the clear height 15 so that the quotient of both is approximately 1 to 3.
- FIG. 4 shows a spatial representation of a second embodiment of a profiled rail system 1, wherein like reference numerals designate like parts. In the following, only the differences from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 received.
- the profile rail system 1 according to FIG. 4 is designed for thicker floor coverings 5, in particular for use with an underbody 16. For this reason, the profile rail system 1 on each of its rails 2, 3 two webs 4. Between these webs 4 is the Underground 16 held while the flooring 5 is mounted on the upper side of the upper web 4.
- the first and second stops 10, 11 are respectively formed on corresponding base legs 8.
- the first and second stop 10, 11 of the base leg 8 has, on the one hand, a groove 17 and, on the other hand, a spring 18. It is irrelevant whether the groove 17 is located on the first or second rail 2, 3.
- the assembly of the profile rail system 1 is carried out in the same manner as in the first embodiment described above, starting from an angled position according to FIG. 6 , In addition, now helps the pivot axis formed by the groove 17 and the spring 18 19, the first rail 2 and second rail 3 to hold each other during the pivoting in position, which facilitates the installation accordingly.
- FIG. 7 a further embodiment of the profile rail system 1, which essentially the profile rail system 1 according to FIG. 4 equivalent.
- the same reference numerals mean the same parts, wherein in the following only to the differences from the embodiment according to FIG. 4 will be received.
- the second rail 3 is the embodiment according to FIG. 4 unchanged.
- the base leg 8 is placed lower so that it touches the ground.
- the first rail 2 also has a vertical web 20 which terminates on the outside.
- this profile rail system 1 can be used perfectly as edge termination of a floor covering 5.
- the assembly is carried out in the same manner as in the embodiment according to FIG. 4 , Preferably, the vertical web 20 is screwed with screws not shown with the wall.
- the profiled rail systems described are preferably made of aluminum, an aluminum alloy or a thermoplastic polymer. They are manufactured by the extrusion process, which is particularly cost-effective. It is also thought to combine the individual features of the various embodiments with each other.
- an edge termination profile rail system according to FIG. 4 to design it is also contemplated from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 an edge termination profile rail system according to FIG. 4 to design.
- the web 4 is preferably omitted from the first rail 2, so that then the first rail 2 forms the edge termination.

Abstract
Description
