- the film material should have a consistent and most advantageous coefficient of friction on the whole role. Too smooth slides slip preference in the rollers or grippers, too blunt films tend to wrinkles in deflections. Often desired slip properties are sought with lubricant additives, which are applied to the films or incorporated into the film material.
