L'invention porte sur un engrenage épicycloïdal (1), destiné en particulier à un démarreur de moteur à combustion, comprenant : un pignon planétaire (3), un premier arbre (8), fixé au pignon planétaire (3) et tournant avec ledit pignon planétaire (3), une couronne (5), entourant le pignon planétaire (3), caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre deux pignons satellites (7) engrenés avec le pignon planétaire (3), espacés de leur voisin par une rotation d'environ 180° autour du pignon planétaire (3), et engrenés avec la couronne (5).
