Device (4) for reshaping a laid-flat material blank (3) of, in particular, natural fibres such as, for example, paper or cardboard, into a dish-shaped or cup-shaped article, wherein the device (4) comprises a reshaping device with a stamp (6) and a die, wherein a so-called fold retainer (7) is provided at a small spacing from the die (5) and wherein the laid-flat blank (3) can be clamped in place between the two, characterised in that a feed device for the laid-flat material is provided, with which the reshaping device is connected, and that a calibrating device (9) is provided, into which the stamp (6) introduces the already preshaped article and presses it in co-operation of the stamp (6) and calibrating device (9).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that a pressing device engages the fold retainer (7), which pressing device is capable of pressing the fold retainer in controlled manner against the die (5) and thus against the laid-flat blank (3).
  3. Device according to claim 2, characterised in that at least one compression spring which presses the fold retainer (7) against the die (5) and thus against the material blank (3) engages the fold retainer (7) and/or that the pressing device engaging the fold retainer (7) is hydraulically or pneumatically driven.
  4. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the pressing pressure of the fold retainer (7) is regulated or controlled.
  5. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that provided in front of the reshaping device is a punching device (2) capable of punching individual blanks (3) out of a material web (1).
  6. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a device for moistening the material (1, 3), which is to be reshaped, on at least one side is provided and/or that a heating device for heating the material (1, 3), which is to be reshaped, is provided, wherein the heating device can be constructed as radiant heating means.
  7. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the stamp (6) and/or the fold retainer (7) and/or the die (5) is or are heated.
  8. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a counter piston (8) is arranged opposite to the stamp (6) and is capable of pressing against the underside of the material blank (3) in the clamped state thereof.
  9. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a widening device is provided in which the upper end of the article can be widened.
  10. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a device for reshaping the upper edge section of the article to form a sealing edge or the like is provided.
  11. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that an ejector (8) capable of ejecting the finished or partly finished article is provided.
  12. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that items to be packaged are introduced into the finished article.
  13. Device according to claim 12, characterised in that the items to be packaged are fixed, for example, by being strapped around or enclosed.
