Die Vorrichtung, welche hier zur Herstellung von Wellblechen angewendet ist und welche durch nachfolgende Beschreibung und Zeichnung erläutert wird, ist in Verbindung mit einer Prefsvorrichtung irgend welcher Construction, jedoch mit veränderlichem Hub, ζ. Β. hydraulische Excenter-Schrauben- oder Keilpresse zu denken. Sie unterscheidet sich dadurch wesentlich von den bisher bekannten älteren Vorrichtungen, sowie von der Maschine, Patent No. 2469 und 2490, dafs sie, um die Sprödigkeit des Materials zu überwinden und durch einen Druck eine ganze Welle in beliebiger Tiefe herstellen zu können, die grofse, beim Herüberziehen des Bleches über die Wulsten entstehende gleitende Reibung, welche das Material bis zum Zerreifsen beansprucht, in rollende bezw. Zapfenreibung verwandelt, indem die drückenden Wulste aus Stahlwalzen α bestehen, welche in geeigneter Weise in Bronzeschalen gelagert sind.
