Description
Such cups are made in one piece and are manufactured, for example, in an injection molding or an extrusion process. The cups can serve as disposable cups or reusable cups. To allow the stacking, the cup body tapers down. The cup body has a cup wall, a cup opening and a bottom. The cup wall spans a truncated cone. The base of the truncated cone is open. It coincides with the cup opening. The bottom is located in the area of the top surface of the truncated cone, which spans the cup wall. The cup is also equipped with a handle. The handle is designed to allow stacking of several cups.
Such cups are used for beverage at major events, such as football matches or concerts. It can not be prevented that filled with liquid cup unintentionally or intentionally fall down or be actively thrown. If a person is hit by such a cup, it can lead to injuries. There is no liquid in a cup, the risk of injury due to the relatively low weight of the cup is low. On the other hand, when a cup is filled with liquid, the risk of injury is much higher due to the greater weight of the cup filled with liquid.
The invention has for its object to provide a cup in which the risk of injury in the case of throwing or free fall of the liquid-filled cup is reduced.
This object is achieved by a cup having the features of
The profile of the Henkel connection part ensures that a high air resistance acts on the Henkel connection part when the air flows in free flight or free fall. This air resistance is higher than the acting on the diametrically opposite side of the cup air resistance. As a result, a torque is generated on the cup. This torque favors a Rotation of the cup in the air, which leads to an orientation of the cup opening to the side and the handle upwards. Advantageously, the cup stabilizes in flight in this orientation. This orientation in turn allows the emptying of the cup in free flight or free fall. Further, the cup is slowed down more in flight by the air resistance acting on the Henkel connecting element than a liquid contained in the cup. This effect also allows the emptying of the cup in the air. This significantly reduces mass and kinetic energy. This effect occurs in addition to a torque caused by the specially shaped bottom. Both effects add up.
Advantageously, the closed surface is part of the surface of a web of the Henkel connecting element.
The stabilization of the orientation of the cup with the cup opening to the side and the handle pointing upwards further causes the cup with the handle facing away from the portion of the cup wall impinging on an object or a person. This section is usually rounded, has a large radius due to the round shape of the cup body and is compliant due to the material of the cup. As a result, additional injuries can be avoided.
With the first bottom part of the cup is placed on a base. The second bottom part is shaped so that it causes a displacement of the center of gravity of the at least partially filled cup in a direction away from the handle part when filling the cup. For this purpose, the second bottom part on several different levels, which are in standing on a substantially horizontally oriented pad above the level or the first bottom part. Due to the different levels of the first and second bottom part, the center of gravity of the at least partially filled cup is away from the longitudinal axis and into the handle part diametrically opposite
Richtung versetzt. Direction shifted. The longitudinal axis of the cup is a straight line passing through the center of gravity of the empty cup in the vertical direction when the cup is on a substantially horizontal surface.
The bottom is shaped with its two bottom parts in such a way that it has at least two different levels in a cup set up on a substantially horizontally oriented base. These result in that the center of gravity of the at least partially filled cup has a greater distance from the handle portion of the handle than with another cup which coincides in all features except that the base is level and parallel to the top surface of the truncated cone spanned by the cup wall is. The distance between the center of gravity and the handle part is the shortest connection between the center of gravity and the handle part.
In order for the second bottom part to have a plurality of levels that are different from the level of the first bottom part, it may be designed, for example, as an inclined plane or have a curvature or at least one step.
The different levels of the bottom ensure that in the case of the liquid-filled cup, the weight force is greater due to the arranged above the bottom liquid column at one side of the cup than at the diametrically opposite, closer to the handle side. If the cup is filled to a certain level, the column of liquid above the lowest level of the soil is higher than above the highest level of the soil. The higher the column of liquid at a certain point, the greater is the associated weight. If the cup body is symmetrical, then the lowest level of the bottom and the highest level of the bottom is outside or away from the center of the cup body given by the symmetry.
The different gravitational force acting on the different sides of the cup in a cup oriented upwardly with the cup opening causes it to rotate or tilt in free fall or free flight such that the opening of the cup body is sideways or downwards aligns. Since the cup is slowed down more than the liquid contained in the cup due to the air resistance, in particular in the region of the Henkel connection part, the liquid flows out of the cup during the flight phase. The cup is completely emptied. The empty cup has a much lower weight than a cup filled with liquid. By reducing the mass, the kinetic energy during flight or fall is also significantly reduced. This results in the cup of the invention, the risk of injury when throwing or free fall of the cup is significantly reduced.
The effects of the shape of the bottom and handles on an at least partially filled cup in free fall or flight add up.
Since the second bottom part has at least two different levels, it is not suitable as a base for the cup. To be able to turn off the cup reliably and without the risk of tipping, the cup is equipped with the first bottom part, which protrudes at least partially downwards over the second bottom part. The first bottom part forms a base or individual stand segments, with which the cup on a base, such as a table or a counter, is adjustable. The stand area or the stand segments have a uniform level. They define a plane that is parallel to the top surface of the truncated cone that the cup wall spans. The top surface can also run in this plane. If the base surface and the top surface of the truncated cone are parallel, the distance between the top edge of the cup body and the base surface or the base segments of the first bottom part is the same everywhere, so that when parked on a substantially horizontal surface Cup the cup opening of the cup body is oriented vertically upwards.
The greater the height difference between a highest level and a lowest level of the soil, the greater are the differences in the weight of the liquid column above the lowest level of the soil and the liquid column above the highest level of the soil in a filled cup. The greater the difference, the faster a liquid filled cup will spin in free-fall or free-fall. It should be noted that due to the displacement of the center of gravity, the risk is increased that the cup placed on a base tilts over.
The information on the lowest and highest level of the soil refer to the orientation of a cup, which stands on a substantially horizontally extending surface.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the truncated cone, which spans the cup wall, symmetrical to two mutually perpendicular planes. In this case, the base of the truncated cone, for example, be an ellipse. Preferably, the two planes are vertically aligned with a cup standing on a substantially horizontal surface. Advantageously, one of the two levels passes through the handle.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the center of gravity of the at least partially filled cup is away from the line along which the two planes intersect perpendicularly.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the truncated cone, which spans the cup wall, about an axis of symmetry rotationally symmetrical. This is a special case of one to two to each other vertical planes symmetrical truncated cone.
The center of gravity of the at least partially filled with a liquid cup is according to the invention offset from the longitudinal axis of the cup body in the handle portion diametrically opposite direction and offset to the axis of symmetry in the grip portion diametrically opposite direction. The highest level of the second bottom portion is closer to the handle portion than the lowest level of the second bottom portion. The lowest and highest level of the second bottom part are located away from the axis of symmetry of the cup body. The longitudinal axis of the cup, which extends through the center of gravity of the empty cup, is parallel to the axis of symmetry of the rotationally symmetrical cup body. The symmetry axis specifies the center of the cup body. The second bottom part is not symmetrical to this axis of symmetry.
Besonders bevorzugt ist der Winkel 5° bis 45°.According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second bottom part is at least partially formed as an inclined plane. The plane is skewed relative to the top surface of the truncated cone, which spans the cup wall. In addition, the plane is oblique to reference to a horizontal surface on which the cup is placed. Thus, the second bottom part is inclined at a cup placed on a support against the horizontal. This means that the angle between the inclined second bottom part or inclined section of the second bottom part and the horizontal is greater than 0 ° and smaller than 90 °. More preferably, the angle is 5 ° to 45 °.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the second bottom part is curved inwardly or outwardly. If the cup body is symmetrical, then the center of curvature is preferably located away from the intersection line of the intersecting planes of symmetry or off the axes of symmetry of the cup body.
In a variant not according to the invention, the second bottom part is planar and has only one level. It thus defines a plane parallel to the top surface of the truncated cone which the cup wall spans. The distance of the second bottom part to a handle part facing portion of the cup wall is smaller than the distance to a handle portion remote from the portion of the cup wall.
According to the invention, the second bottom part has a highest level and a lowest level in a cup standing on a substantially horizontally oriented base. Further, the floor may have at least one step between the first level and the second level.
The lowest level of the second bottom part is located in another, not inventive variant adjacent to the cup wall near the handle part. The highest level of the soil is located diametrically opposite also adjacent to the cup wall on the side facing away from the handle part of the cup body. This means that the lowest and highest levels of the soil have the greatest possible distance from each other. This promotes the distribution of weight in a filled cup and thus the turning of the filled cup in free flight or free fall.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first bottom part is rounded. It thus has the advantage that the risk of injury to sharp-edged webs is considerably reduced.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first bottom part forms a circumferential ring or a plurality of ring segments on the underside of the cup body. If the cup body is rotationally symmetrical with respect to an axis of symmetry, the circumferential ring or ring segments are arranged coaxially with the longitudinal axis of the cup body.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the cup wall goes in the extension down into the first bottom part.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first bottom part is grooved and open to the interior of the cup body. The first bottom part is hollow inside and the cavity is opened to the inside of the cup body. As a result, in particular the rounded shape of the first bottom part is favored, the weight is reduced compared to a solid first bottom part and there is the possibility that the first bottom part is available for receiving the liquid filled in the cup.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first bottom part has an incision, through which liquid can drain at a cup oriented downwardly. This is particularly advantageous when rinsing the cups. For this purpose, the cups are usually aligned with their cup opening down. Since the first bottom part projects beyond the second bottom part as an extension of the cup wall, the first bottom part and the second bottom part form a trough in which liquid can collect in a cup oriented downwards. This is prevented by the incision.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first bottom part on several downwardly projecting protrusions. These may be, for example, pimples. With the projections, the cup touches a base on which it stands.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the Henkel connection part is arranged near the upper edge on the cup body. The handle connecting part extends outwards. At the end remote from the cup body, the handle portion extends downwardly from the handle connecting portion and is spaced from the cup body.
Das Henkel-Verbindungsteil kann flach oder gewölbt sein. The Henkel connecting part may be flat or curved.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the Henkel connecting part comprises a substantially parallel to the base of the truncated cone, which spans the cup wall, horizontally extending web and two starting from the web downwardly extending stiffening elements, the handle part with the outside of the cup wall of the Join cup body. The web is equipped with the closed surface. Advantageously, passage openings are provided on the web and / or on the stiffening elements, through which liquid can flow at a cup oriented downwardly with the cup opening.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the Henkel connection part through-openings, can drain through the liquid during rinsing. The cross section of each passage opening per se is small compared to the surface of the Henkel connecting part. In addition, the sum of the cross sections of all passage openings of a Henkel connecting part is small compared to the surface of the Henkel connecting part. The passage openings therefore do not reduce the air resistance experienced by the Henkel connection part in free fall or flight, or only slightly at most. In free fall or flight arise at the through holes turbulence.
The passage openings may have in cross section, for example, triangular, quadrangular, a different angular shape or be round. The shape can be symmetrical. However, this is not absolutely necessary.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the handle part is rounded or bevelled on its side facing away from the cup body.
This avoids edges or corners that could cause injury to the person when the mug hits a person.
The rotation of the cup in free flight or free fall, achieved by the geometry of the cup, causes the cup to align with its compliant cup wall. If he hits a person with this wall, the risk of injury is considerably reduced.
Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention are the following description of the drawing and the claims removable.

The

The
Due to the obliquely extending second
Experiments have shown that the cup in free flight or free fall aligns with the

The oblique course of the second bottom part 23 ensures that a cup filled with liquid rotates in free flight or fall such that the opening of the cup body is aligned to the side, and the liquid can flow out. The cup is thereby emptied in the event or flight. The risk of injury is therefore reduced.
