Description

  • Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Verwendung eines korrosionsbeständigen, warm- und kaltumformbaren und schweißbaren Stahl mit hoher Beständigkeit gegen wasserstoffinduzierte Versprödung im gesamten Temperaturbereich (-253 bis mindestens + 100°C)insbesondere zwischen -100°C und Raumtemperatur (+25°C) für die Wasserstofftechnik in Kraftfahrzeugen. Der vorgeschlagene Stahl ist für alle mit Wasserstoff in Kontakt stehenden metallischen Bauteile geeignet, wie zum Beispiel Wasserstofftanks, Liner, Boss, Ventile, Leitungen, Federn, Wärmetauscher, Fittings oder Faltenbälge.
  • Aus US 2008/0292489 A1 ist ein korrosionsbeständiger, austenitischer Stahl mit 8 bis 15 Masse-% Nickel und bis zu 3 Masse-% Molybdän bekannt, der sich durch eine hohe Kriechfestigkeit bei hohen Temperaturen von 650 bis 800°C auszeichnet und für Kraftwerke geeignet ist, um deren Emissionswerte und Wirkungsgrad zu verbessern.
  • Stahl, der über längere Zeit einer mechanischen Belastung in Wasserstoffatmosphäre ausgesetzt ist, unterliegt der Wasserstoffversprödung. Eine Ausnahme bilden nichtrostende austenitische Edelstähle mit hohem Nickelgehalt wie der Werkstoff 1.4435, X2CrNiMo18-14-3. Ein Nickelgehalt von mindestens 12,5 Masse-% wird bei diesen austenitischen Stählen als notwendig erachtet, um eine ausreichende Beständigkeit gegen Wasserstoffversprödung im gesamten Temperatur- (-253 bis mindestens + 100°C) und Druckbereich (0,1 bis 87,5100 MPa) zu erzielen. Nickel ist jedoch, wie auch Molybdän, ein sehr teures Legierungselement, so dass vor allem für eine Massenfertigung z.B. von Tankkomponenten im Kfz-Bereich kostengünstige wasserstoffbeständige Stähle fehlen.
  • Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es daher, einen kostengünstigen Stahl für die Wasserstofftechnik in Kraftfahrzeugen bereitzustellen, der gegen wasserstoffinduzierte Versprödung im gesamten Temperaturbereich insbesondere im Bereich der maximalen Wasserstoffversprödung zwischen Raumtemperatur und - 100°C resistent ist, keinen ausgeprägten duktil-spröde Übergang bei tiefen Temperaturen aufweist, Korrosionsbeständigkeit aufweist und sich gut warm- und kaltumformen sowie schweißen lässt.
  • Dies wird erfindungsgemäß mit einem Stahl folgender Zusammensetzung erreicht:
    • 0,01-0,4 Masse-%, vorzugsweise ≤ 0,20 Masse-%, bevorzugt mindestens 0,02 Masse-% und insbesondere 0,06-0,16 Masse-% Kohlenstoff,
    • ≤3,0 Masse-%, insbesondere 0,05-0,8 Masse-% Silizium,
    • 4-20, insbesondere 6-15 Masse-% Mangan,
    • 10,5-30 Masse-%, vorzugsweise 10,5-23 Masse-%, insbesondere höchstens 20 Masse-% Chrom,
    • 4-12,5 Masse-%, vorzugsweise 5-10 Masse-%, insbesondere höchstens 9 Masse-% Nickel,
    • 1,0 Masse-%, insbesondere ≤ 0,40 Masse-% Molybdän,
    • ≤ 0,20 Masse-%, insbesondere ≤ 0,08 Masse-% Stickstoff,
    • 1,5-6,0 Masse-% Aluminium,
    • ≤ 4 Masse-% Kupfer, insbesondere 0,3-3,5 Masse-% Kupfer
    • ≤ 0,1 Masse-%, vorzugsweise maximal 0,05 Masse-%, insbesondere maximal 0,03 Masse-% Bor,
    • ≤ 1,0 Masse-%, insbesondere ≤ 0,40 Masse-% Wolfram,

    • ≤ 0,3 Masse-%, vorzugsweise 0,01-0,2 Masse-% wenigstens eines der Elemente Yttrium, Scandium, Lanthan, Cer und Neodym,
      Rest Eisen und erschmelzungsbedingte Stahlbegleitelemente.
  • Der erfindungsgemäße Stahl kann also mit oder ohne Bor hergestellt sein.
  • Die untere Grenze des Gehalts des Silizium liegt im Allgemeinen bei 0,05 Masse-% und die des Kupfers bei 0,05 Masse-%.
  • Von den Mikrolegierungselementen sind insbesondere (a) Yttrium, Scandium, Lanthan, Cer und (b) Zirkon und Hafnium relevant.
  • Der Stahl kann einen Yttrium-Gehalt von 0,01 bis 0,2, insbesondere bis 0,10 Masse-% aufweisen, wobei Yttrium ganz oder teilweise durch 0,01 bis 0,2, insbesondere bis 0,10 Masse-% eines der Elemente: Scandium, Lanthan oder Cer ersetzt sein kann.
  • Der Hafnium- und der Zirkon-Gehalt beträgt jeweils vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 0,2, insbesondere bis 0,10 Masse-%, wobei Hafnium oder Zirkon ganz oder teilweise durch 0,01 bis 0,2, insbesondere bis 0,10 Masse-% durch Titan ersetzt sein kann.
  • Die erschmelzungsbedingten Stahlbegleitelemente umfassen übliche produktionsbedingte Elemente (z.B. Schwefel und Phosphor) sowie weitere nicht gezielt hinzu legierte Elemente.
  • Dabei beträgt vorzugsweise der Phosphorgehalt ≤ 0,05 Masse-%, der Schwefelgehalt ≤ 0,4 Masse-%, insbesondere ≤ 0,04 Masse-%. Der Gehalt aller erschmelzungsbedingten Stahlbegleitelemente beträgt pro Element maximal 0,3 Masse-%.
  • Durch die Herabsetzung des Nickelgehaltes auf höchstens 12,5 Masse-%, insbesondere höchstens 9 Masse-%, die Herabsetzung des Molybdän-Gehaltes auf höchstens 1,0 Masse-%, vorzugsweise höchstens 0,4 Masse-%, insbesondere den völligen Entfall von Molybdän als Legierungselement können die Legierungskosten des Stahls drastisch gesenkt werden.
  • Trotz der Absenkung des Nickelgehaltes und fehlendem Molybdän (also ohne Molybdän-Zusatz) weist der Stahl sehr gute mechanische Eigenschaften in einer Wasserstoffatmosphäre im gesamten Temperaturbereich von -253°C bis mindestens +100°C und Druckbereich von 0,1 bis 100 MPa auf.
  • So weist der Stahl bei einer Prüftemperatur von -50°C und einem Gasdruck von 40 MPa Wasserstoff im Zugversuch bei einer Dehnrate von 5 x 10-5 1/s eine "Relative Reduction of Area" (RRA) oder relative Brucheinschnürung (= Brucheinschnürung Z in Luft, Argon oder Helium geteilt durch die /Brucheinschnürung Z in Wasserstoff x 100%) von mindestens 80%, vorzugsweise mindestens 90% auf. Die entsprechende relative Zugfestigkeit R_Rm, relative Streckgrenze R_Rp0,2 und die relative Bruchdehnung R_A5 betragen mindestens 90%. Der Stahl besitzt eine sehr gute Schweißbarkeit, keinen ausgeprägten duktil-spröden Übergang bei tiefen Temperaturen, eine hohe Korrosionsbeständigkeit und eine sehr gute Warm- und Kaltumformbarkeit.
  • Der Stahl kann lösungsgeglüht (AT) sein. Er kann auch kaltverformt, insbesondere kaltgezogen oder kaltgewalzt verwendet werden.
  • Der Stahl kann ein stabil austenitischer Stahl mit einem Austenit-Anteil von mindestens 90 Masse-% sein. Der Stahl kann jedoch auch als austenitisch-ferritischer Stahl (Duplex-Stahl) ausgebildet sein. So kann der δ-Ferrit-Anteil beispielsweise 10-90, insbesondere 10-60 Volumen-Prozent betragen. Bemerkenswerterweise liegt auch bei einem hohen δ-FerritGehalt eine sehr hohe Wasserstoffbeständigkeit vor.
  • So weist beispielsweise der Stahl A mit folgender Zusammensetzung (in Masse-%) :

    • 8 - 12% Mn
    • 13,5 - 17,5% Cr
    • 6 - 9% Ni
    • 2,5 - 4,5% Al
    • 0 - 0,04% B

    ein austenitisch-ferritisches Gefüge (Duplex-Stahl) auf.
  • Der δ-Ferritgehalt des Stahls beträgt dabei 15 - 35 Volumen-%. Im lösungsgeglühten Zustand (AT) beträgt die Streckgrenze Rp0,2 bei -50°C in einer Wasserstoffatmosphäre von 40 MPa mehr als 500 MPa. Die relative Brucheinschnürung (= Brucheinschnürung Z in Helium geteilt durch die / Brucheinschnürung Z in Wasserstoff x 100%) beträgt dabei zwischen 85 und 100%.
  • Der Stahl weist eine hohe Beständigkeit gegen Wasserstoffversprödung im gesamten Temperaturbereich von - 253°C bis mindestens +100°C und Druckbereich von 0,1 bis 100 MPa auf.
  • Der Stahl mit austenitisch-ferritischem Gefüge stellt damit einen kostengünstigen wasserstoffbeständigen Werkstoff mit hoher Festigkeit für die Wasserstofftechnik in Kraftfahrzeugen dar und ist deshalb insbesondere für Federn sehr gut geeignet.
  • Außerdem kann der Stahl für Vorrichtungen und Bauteile von Systemen zur Erzeugung, Speicherung, Verteilung und Nutzung von Wasserstoff eingesetzt werden, insbesondere wenn die Vorrichtungen bzw. Bauteile mit Wasserstoff in Berührung kommen. Dies gilt insbesondere für Leitungen, Regeleinrichtungen, Ventile und andere Absperrorgane, Behälter, Wärmetauscher, Boss und Liner, Fittings, Drucksensoren usw. einschließlich Teile dieser Einrichtungen, wie z.B. Federn und Faltenbälge.
  • Aufgrund der hohen Streckgrenze Rp0,2 des Stahls kann bei den genannten Bauteilen signifikant Gewicht reduziert werden, wodurch sich der Kraftstoffverbrauch reduziert.
  • Der Stahl B mit folgender Zusammensetzung (in Masse-%):
    • 0,06 - 0,16% C
    • 0,05 - 0,3% Si
    • 8 - 12% Mn
    • 11 - 15% Cr
    • 6 - 9% Ni
    • 1,5 - 3,0% Al
    • 0 - 4% Cu
    • 0 - 0,04% B
  • Rest Eisen und erschmelzungsbedingte Stahlbegleitelemente weist ein stabil austenitisches Gefüge auf.
  • Der δ-Ferritgehalt des Stahls beträgt dabei weniger als 10 Volumen-Prozent. Im lösungsgeglühten Zustand (AT) beträgt die Streckgrenze Rp0,2 bei -50°C in einer Wasserstoffatmosphäre von 40 MPa 250 bis 300 MPa. Die relative Brucheinschnürung (= Brucheinschnürung Z in Helium / Brucheinschnürung Z in Wasserstoff x 100%) beträgt dabei zwischen 85 und 100%. Beim Kaltumformen dieses Stahl tritt nur eine sehr geringe Umwandlung des Austenits in α'-Martensit von weniger als 5 Volumen-% bei einer Umformung von 75% bei -50°C Umformtemperatur auf. Dieser Stahl zeichnet sich deshalb durch eine sehr hohe Austenitstabilität aus.
  • Der Stahl mit stabil austenitischem Gefüge stellt damit einen kostengünstigen wasserstoffbeständigen Werkstoff für die Wasserstofftechnik in Kraftfahrzeugen dar.
  • Der Stahl kann insbesondere für Vorrichtungen und Bauteile von Systemen zur Erzeugung, Speicherung, Verteilung und Nutzung von Wasserstoff eingesetzt werden, insbesondere wenn die Vorrichtungen bzw. Bauteile mit Wasserstoff in Berührung kommen. Dies gilt insbesondere für Leitungen, Regeleinrichtungen, Ventile und andere Absperrorgane, Behälter, Wärmetauscher, Boss und Liner, Fittings, Drucksensoren usw. einschließlich Teile dieser Einrichtungen, wie z.B. Federn und Faltenbälge.
  • Dabei kann zur Wasserstoffspeicherung ein (Hoch-)Druckbehälter, ein Kryo-(Hoch-)Druck-Behälter, oder ein Flüssigwasserstoffbehälter aus dem erfindungsgemäßen Stahl eingesetzt werden.
  • Darüber hinaus eignet sich der Stahl auch für Anwendungen, die im lösungsgeglühten Zustand eine hohe Streckgrenze aufweisen müssen (Stahl A) oder eine hervorragende Kaltumformbarkeit oder Austenitstabilität insbesondere nach einer Kaltumformung benötigen (Stahl B).
  • In der nachstehenden Tabelle sind beispielsweise die Zusammensetzungen von erfindungsgemäß verwendeten Stählen wiedergegeben. Die Mengen eines jeden Elements in dem Stahl sind als Masse-%-Anteile ausgedrückt. Für die Stähle Nr. 1 bis 7 sind die Ist-Werte angegeben und für die Stähle Nr. 8 bis 10 die Soll-Werte.

  • Durch den geringen Nickelgehalt von maximal 8 Masse-% und das Fehlen von Molybdän sind die Stähle Nr. 1 bis 10 sehr kostengünstig. Dies gilt insbesondere für die Stähle Nr. 8 und 9 mit lediglich 6 Masse-% Nickel.
  • Sämtliche Stähle besitzen eine hohe Festigkeit in einer Wasserstoffatmosphäre. So weisen im lösungsgeglühten Zustand (AT) die Stähle bei einer Prüftemperatur von -50°C und einem Gasdruck von Wasserstoff von 40 MPa im Zugversuch mit einer Dehnrate von 5 x 10-5 1/s eine geringe relative Brucheinschnürung (RRA) von höchstens mindestens 83 % (Stahl Nr. 1) und beim Stahl Nr. 7 sogar nur von 99% auf.
  • Der Stahl Nr. 6 weist durch den Zusatz von 200 ppm Bor eine hohe Zugfestigkeit (Rm) und Bruchdehnung (A5) in einer Wasserstoffatmosphäre bei 40 MPa auf. Da es für die Berechnung des δ-Ferritgehaltes, die den Borgehalt beinhaltet, keine Formel gibt, konnte Bor bei der Berechnung des δ-Ferritgehaltes des Stahls Nr. 6 nicht berücksichtigt werden.
  • Ferner ist die hohe Streckgrenze Rp0,2 der Stähle in der Wasserstoffatmosphäre sowohl in Helium als auch in Wasserstoff hervorzuheben, insbesondere der Duplex-Stähle mit austenitisch-ferritischem Gefüge Nr. 5 und 7 mit einem δ-Ferrit-Gehalt von 27 bzw. 23 Masse-%.

Claims (11)

  1. Verwendung eines korrosionsbeständigen, warm- und kaltumformbaren und schweißbaren Stahls mit hoher Beständigkeit gegen wasserstoffinduzierte Versprödung folgender Zusammensetzung:
    0,01 bis 0,4 Masse-% Kohlenstoff,
    ≤ 3,0 Masse-% Silizium,
    4 bis 20 Masse-% Mangan,
    10,5 bis 30 Masse-% Chrom,
    4-12,5 Masse-% Nickel,
    ≤ 1,0 Masse-% Molybdän,
    ≤ 0,2 Masse-% Stickstoff,
    1,5 bis 6,0 Masse-% Aluminium,
    4,0 Masse-% Kupfer,
    ≤ 0,1 Masse-% Bor,
    ≤ 1,0 Masse-% Wolfram,
    ≤ 5,0 Masse-% Kobalt,
    ≤ 0,5 Masse-% Tantal,
    ≤ 2,0 Masse-% wenigstens eines der Elemente:
    Niob, Titan, Vanadium, Hafnium und Zirkon,
    ≤ 0,3 Masse-% wenigstens eines der Elemente:
    Yttrium, Scandium, Lanthan, Cer und Neodym,
    Rest Eisen und erschmelzungsbedingte Stahlbegleitelemente für die Wasserstofftechnik in Kraftfahrzeugen.
  2. Verwendung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Nickelgehalt höchstens 9 Masse-% beträgt.
  3. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl 0,3-3,5 Masse-% Kupfer enthält.
  4. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl 0,005-0,06 Masse-% Bor enthält.
  5. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl Molybdän ≤ 0,40 Masse-% enthält.
  6. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Chromgehalt 10,5 - 23 Masse-% beträgt.
  7. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl 0,01 bis 0,2 Masse-% Yttrium enthält, wobei das Yttrium ganz oder teilweise durch 0,01 bis 0,2 Masse-% Scandium und/oder Lanthan und/oder Cer ersetzt sein kann.
  8. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl 0,01 bis 0,2 Masse-% Hafnium und/oder Zirkon enthält, wobei das Hafnium oder Zirkon ganz oder teilweise durch 0,01 bis 0,2 Masse-% Titan ersetzt sein kann.
  9. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl bis zu 0,3 Masse-% Tantal enthält.
  10. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl bis zu 3,0 Masse-% Kobalt enthält.
  11. Verwendung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Stahl als austenitischer Stahl oder austenitisch-ferritischer Stahl (Duplex-Stahl) mit einem δ-Ferrit-Anteil von wenigstens 10 Masse-% ausgebildet ist.
