Definitions

  • the invention relates to a timepiece comprising a housing 3 formed by a middle part closed by a bottom and by an ice, said mirror being supported on a support surface of the middle part, parallel to said bottom, said housing forming a housing in which an electronic module is placed, said timepiece further comprises a display module fixed on the ice, the electronic module and the display module comprise a number of identical connection points so that electrical connection means can connect the two points of connection of the electronic module to the connection points of the display module.
  • timepieces such as watches, consisting of a case made of plastic material closed by an ice and a bottom to form a watch case.
  • the plastic watch window includes a user-facing top face and a bottom face opposite the top face, a digital display being adhered to the underside of the window.
  • the ice is welded to the middle part by means of a laser beam.
  • This timepiece includes an electronic module placed in the watch case.
  • This electronic module as an LCD module comprises a plurality of connection points to be connected to a plurality of connection points arranged on the digital display device.
  • a zebra connector is then used to electrically connect the digital display device and the electronic module.
  • the connection points of the digital display device and the connection points of the electronic module are arranged so as to be facing each other allowing a simplified connection.
  • the current assembly method has manufacturing tolerances. This means that the ice, on which the electronic module is fixed, can be fixed on the middle part with slight offsets. As a result, the connection points of the electronic module and the connection points of the display module may not be perfectly aligned. This may not be a problem if the connection points are spaced apart.
  • connection points With a high density of connection points, the margins of error during the assembly can cause a significant offset of the connection points with respect to each other. Therefore, it is possible that one or more points of connection of the electronic module and connection points of the electronic module to be connected together can not be.
  • the assembly formed of ice 9 and the electronic module must then be dismantled and reassembled or at worst be considered as waste. The production rates are then lower and the costs increase in consequence.
  • the object of the invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art by proposing to provide methods of assembling a timepiece whose connection points of the LCD module fixed on the ice are perfectly aligned with the points of contact. connection of the electronic module of said timepiece.
  • step c) aimed at determining the position of at least one tenon arranged on the middle part with respect to the first connection points consists of making an optical image of the middle part and measuring the distance of the first connection points with respect to said at least one tenon serving as reference.
  • step c) for determining the position of at least one tenon arranged on the ice relative to the second connection points is to make an optical image of the ice and to measure the distance of the second connection points with respect to said at least one pin serving as a reference.
  • the step of determining the position of the display module with respect to the ice is to make an optical image of the ice.
  • the step of determining the position of the electronic module relative to the middle part consists of making an optical image of the middle part.
  • the number of tenons is identical to recesses.
  • the middle comprises two pins and the ice comprises two recesses.
  • the middle comprises two recesses and the ice comprises two pins.
  • This timepiece 1 comprises a housing 3.
  • This housing 3 is formed of a middle 5 closed by a bottom 7 and by an ice 9
  • This ice 9 comprises an inner face 9a and an outer face 9b.
  • This middle part 5 has at least one bearing surface 5a on which the lens 9 comes to bear, on its inner face, support when attached to the middle part 5.
  • said middle 5 has a single bearing surface 5a around said middle part 5.
  • This bearing surface 5a thus extends parallel to the bottom of the housing 3. It is conceivable that the middle 5 and the bottom 7 is one and the same piece.
  • This housing 3 makes it possible to form a housing 11 in which an electronic module 13 is placed.
  • This electronic module 13 is the module managing the different functions of the timepiece 1 such as the provision of a time information, a chronograph function, an alarm function or other.
  • This electronic module 13 is powered by a battery or accumulator providing the necessary electrical energy.
  • This electronic module 13 is provided with a plurality of connection points 15.
  • first connection points 17 are used for the display.
  • the display of the information provided by the electronic module 13 is performed by a display module 19 such as an LCD module 20.
  • This LCD module 20 is fixed on the ice 9 of the timepiece 1 and more particularly on the inner face 9a of the glass 9.
  • This display module 19 comprises second connection points 21 for said display module 19 to be connected to the electronic module 13 of the timepiece 1. It then comprises that the number of first connection points 17 is identical to the number of second connection points 21.
  • the first connection points 17 and the second connection points 21 can each be divided into several groups of distributed connection points at the electronic module 13 or at the level of the LCD module 20.
  • the distribution of the first connection points 17 is identical to that of the second connection points 21.
  • the first connection points 17 and the second connection points 21 are arranged in lines on two opposite faces of the ice.
  • the LCD module 20 is fixed on the lower face 9a of the lens 9 by various fixing techniques such as laser welding, soldering or gluing.
  • a first step is to provide the assembly 4 formed by the middle 5 and bottom 7 and to place the electronic module 13.
  • the display module 19, that is to say the LCD module 20 is fixed on the glass 9.
  • the LCD module 20 is fixed by gluing on the glass 9.
  • This step consists of then to take the ice 9, to put it on a support so that the inner face 9a, on which the LCD module 20 will be fixed, is oriented upwards and to put the LCD module 20 on the glass 9.
  • the bonding operation is performed automatically by a machine.
  • the appropriate position is the position allowing, when the lens 9 is fixed on the caseband 5, to have the first connection points 17 and the second connection points 21 facing each other.
  • the glass 9 is attached to the middle part 5 of the timepiece.
  • the lens 9 carrying the LCD module 20 is placed on the bearing surface 5a of the middle part 5 in a predefined position.
  • the ice 9 in this predefined position it is permanently attached to the middle 5 by a laser welding operation, soldering or by any other method as possible collage.
  • a hood can be placed over ice 9 to hide the joint between said ice 9 and middle part 5.
  • the timepiece is provided with alignment means 30.
  • These alignment means 30 comprise first alignment elements 32 and second alignment elements 34.
  • the first alignment elements 32 are arranged on the middle 5 of the timepiece while the second alignment elements 34 are arranged on the ice 9.
  • the first alignment elements 32 comprise at least two pins 33. These pins 33 are arranged on the bearing surface 5a of the middle part 5 and extend perpendicular to the plane of said bearing surface 5a.
  • the second alignment elements 34 comprise at least two recesses 35 located at the level of the ice 9. It will be understood that the number of recesses 35 is identical to the number of tenons 33.
  • the invention provides that the recesses 35 are made on the ice 9 after the second step during which the LCD module 20 is fixed on the ice 9.
  • the present invention proposes that the recesses on the ice 9 are made so as to compensate for a variation of the position of the LCD module 20 with respect to the glass 9. Indeed, it is possible that during the fixing of the LCD module 20 to the glass 9, the stresses are exerted on the LCD module 20 having as a consequence a variation of the position of said LCD module 20 with respect to the glass 9. Similarly, the position of the electronic module 13 relative to the assembly formed by the middle 5 and the bottom 7 may vary.
  • the assembly method provides for an additional step performed between the second step and the third step. This step then consists of making optical measurements and comparing them.
  • a first sub-step consists of making optical images of the lens 9 provided with the LCD module 20 and the caseband 5 provided with the electronic module 13, ie determining the position of the electronic module 13 with respect to 5.
  • the first connection points 17 and the second connection points 21 are arranged to form a row or line.
  • the first connection points 17 comprise a connection point A located at a first end of the row formed by the first connection points 17 and a point of connection.
  • connection B being located at a second end of the row formed by the first connection points 17.
  • This image makes it possible to define the position of the connection points A and B relative to a reference. In this case, the reference in question is the axis passing through the two pins.
  • a second sub-step then consists in making the recesses on the ice 9 as a function of the images made.
  • the second connection points 21 comprise a connection point X located at a first end of the row formed by the second connection points 21 and a connection point Y at a second end of the row.
  • the connection point X must be connected to the connection point A and the connection point Y must be connected to the connection point B.
  • the recesses on the ice 9 are then made so that the position of the connection points X and Y with respect to the axis passing through the two recesses 35 is the same as the position of the connection points A and B with respect to the axis passing through the two pins 33.
  • steps c), d), e) and f) of the process are modified accordingly.
  • connection points 21 are arranged at only one face of the ice 9.
  • This preferred version has the advantage of presenting a faster and more flexible assembly process. It makes it possible not to realize the image of the electronic module 13 and to make only the image of the mirror 9. In the case where these two images are made in parallel, time is gained and in the case where these two images are performed successively, a machine is saved. In addition, this version allows greater flexibility. This flexibility comes from the fact that in all the assemblies formed by the middle 5 and the bottom, the position of the electronic module 13 is perfectly identical. However, the recesses of each ice 9 are drilled so as to be compatible with the arrangement of the electronic module 13 relative to the axis passing through the two pins 33.
  • each ice 9 pierced by the two recesses 35 can in theory to be associated with any set of middle 5 - bottom 7 provided with an electronic module 13.
  • the recesses 35 of each ice 9 are made to be compatible with that one looks together middle size 5 - bottom provided with an electronic module 13, there is no flexibility or interchangeability
  • each ice cream 9 is provided with a pair of projecting portions such as ears 36 each extending from one side or side of the glass 9.
  • ears 36 are arranged to be diametrically opposed.
  • this pair ears 36 is arranged so that they are located on opposite sides.
  • the ice 9 is rectangular, it thus has two faces extending along the length of the ice 9 and two faces extending along the width of the ice 9.
  • the ears 36 are either placed on each of the two faces extending along the length of the ice 9 or on each of the two faces extending along the width of the ice 9.
  • the ears 36 are centered on the faces of the ice 9 as visible to the figure 4 .
  • the recesses 35 are through. This feature has the advantage of allowing a better maintenance of the ice 9 on the middle part 5. In fact, as the recesses 35 are through, the studs 33 are larger in size and thus provides greater support.
  • the recesses 35 are not identical. Indeed, it is possible that the manufacturing method of the middle 5 and therefore the studs 33 is such that a variation of the position of one or tenons 33 along the axis formed by the two pins 33 is possible. In the example of the figure 4 it is the axis 6h-12h. With two circular recesses, there is a risk that a post 33 does not fit into its recess. In order to solve this problem, the recesses 35 are arranged so that the crystal 9 is provided with a recess 35 centered and a recess 35 aligned, that is to say that one of the recesses 35 is circular whereas the other is oblong as visible at the figure 4 .
  • the oblong recess extends along the axis formed by the two recesses 35. This configuration has the advantage of tolerating the variations in the positions of the studs 33, since during assembly one of the studs 33 is inserted into the recess 35.
  • the oblong recess 35 allows the second pin 33 to be inserted into it and thus aligns the ice 9. This alignment of the ice 9 is done even if one of the two tenons 33 is not in its ideal position.
  • the first alignment elements comprise at least two recesses. These recesses are arranged on the bearing surface of the middle part 5 and that the second alignment elements comprise at least two studs located at the level of the ice 9.
