If the user wants to configure a pair of connectors (e.g., a connector and a corresponding connector) so that they will only mate with each other, this can be accomplished by inserting a key in at least one keyway on the connector, and remove the key (or ensure that there is no key) in the corresponding keyway on the corresponding connector.

Claims (12)

  1. Connecteur, comprenant :
    un corps de connecteur (100) présentant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale, l'extrémité distale ayant une pluralité de rainures de clavette (104 ; 710) configurées pour recevoir une pluralité de clavettes configurables par l'utilisateur (102 ; 720), permettant ainsi à l'extrémité distale du corps de connecteur (100) de s'accoupler uniquement avec un corps de connecteur correspondant qui présente des clavettes complémentaires ;
    une pluralité de contacts (112), chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) ayant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale, l'extrémité proximale de chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) étant configurée pour une connexion à au moins un fil (114) ;
    un élément de retenue élastomère (110) ayant une pluralité d'ouvertures et au moins une surface extérieure, ladite pluralité d'ouvertures étant configurées pour recevoir ladite pluralité de contacts (112) ; et
    une coquille arrière (120) configurée pour s'accoupler avec ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100) ;
    dans lequel ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100) inclut une cavité qui est configurée pour accepter ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) ; et
    dans lequel ladite cavité est configurée pour appliquer une pression sur ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) quand ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) est inséré complètement dans ledit corps de connecteur (100) à travers ladite extrémité proximale, ladite pression résultant dans une augmentation du frottement entre chacune de ladite pluralité d'ouvertures dans ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) et chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112), dans lequel en outre ladite cavité applique ladite pression audit élément de retenue élastomère (110) en raison de ladite cavité qui est légèrement plus petite que la surface extérieure de l'élément de retenue élastomère (110).
  2. Connecteur selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ledit corps de connecteur (100) est une fiche, et ledit corps de connecteur correspondant est un réceptacle.
  3. Connecteur selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel l'extrémité proximale de chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) inclut un fût à sertir, permettant à chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) d'être serti autour d'un correspondant dudit au moins un fil (114).
  4. Connecteur selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel l'extrémité proximale de chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) inclut une coupelle à souder, permettant à chacun de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) d'être soudé sur un correspondant dudit au moins un fil (114).
  5. Connecteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, dans lequel l'élément de retenue élastomère (110) inclut un élément de retenue élastomère thermoplastique.
  6. Connecteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans lequel chacune de la pluralité d'ouvertures dans l'élément de retenue (110) inclut une pluralité de doigts saillants vers l'intérieur (310), ladite pluralité de doigts saillants vers l'intérieur (310) sont configurés pour appliquer un premier niveau de frottement à un contact correspondant avant que ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) ne soit inséré dans ladite cavité, et appliquer un second niveau de frottement plus élevé audit contact correspondant après que ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) a été inséré dans ladite cavité.
  7. Connecteur selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 6, dans lequel ladite coquille arrière (120) comprend des première et seconde parties (122, 124), ladite première partie (122) incluant au moins un loquet (127) et ladite seconde partie (124) incluant au moins une fente (126), lesdites première et seconde parties (122, 124) étant configurées pour s'encliqueter ensemble en insérant ledit au moins un loquet (127) dans ladite au moins une fente (126).
  8. Connecteur selon la revendication 7, dans lequel lesdites première et seconde parties (122, 124) incluent en outre une première partie d'accouplement configurée pour s'accoupler avec une seconde partie d'accouplement sur ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100), ladite première partie d'accouplement comprenant au moins l'un d'au moins un montant (128) et d'au moins un trou (106).
  9. Procédé d'assemblage d'un connecteur, comprenant :
    l'insertion d'une pluralité de contacts (112) dans une pluralité d'ouvertures dans un élément de retenue (110) ;
    l'augmentation de la force de frottement entre chacune de ladite pluralité d'ouvertures dans ledit élément de retenue (110) et des correspondants de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) en insérant ledit élément de retenue (110) à l'intérieur d'une cavité formée dans une extrémité proximale d'un corps de connecteur (100), ladite cavité étant configurée pour accepter ledit élément de retenue élastomère (110) et pour appliquer une pression audit élément de retenue élastomère (110) quand ledit élément de retenue élastomère est complètement inséré dans ledit corps de connecteur (110) à travers ladite extrémité proximale en raison de ladite cavité qui est légèrement plus petite que la surface extérieure de l'élément de retenue élastomère (110),
    la connexion d'une coquille arrière (120) à ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100) ; et
    l'insertion sélective d'au moins une clavette (102 ; 720) dans au moins une rainure de clavette (104 ; 710) dans une extrémité distale dudit corps de connecteur (100), créant ainsi un corps de connecteur à clavettes utilisateur (100) qui peut être connecté à un second corps de connecteur à clavettes complémentaires.
  10. Procédé selon la revendication 9, comprenant en outre l'étape de sertissage d'au moins un de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) sur un fil (114) avant l'étape d'insertion de ladite pluralité de contacts (112) dans ladite pluralité d'ouvertures dans ledit élément de retenue (110).
  11. Procédé selon la revendication 9 ou 10, dans lequel l'étape de connexion de ladite coquille arrière (120) à ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100) comprend en outre la mise en place d'au moins un montant (128) faisant saillie vers l'extérieur depuis une extrémité distale de ladite coquille arrière (120) dans au moins un trou correspondant (106) dans ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100).
  12. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 9 à 11, dans lequel l'étape de connexion de ladite coquille arrière (120) à ladite extrémité proximale dudit corps de connecteur (100) comprend en outre la mise en place d'au moins un loquet (127) faisant saillie vers l'extérieur depuis une extrémité proximale d'une première partie (122) de ladite coquille arrière (120) dans au moins une fente correspondante (126) dans une extrémité proximale d'une seconde partie (124) de ladite coquille arrière (120).
