Description

The present invention relates to a panic fitting according to the preamble of claim 1, which has a base member having a first side for abutment and attachment to a door, in particular on the frame of a door, wherein on the base member a square seat is rotatably mounted, and the rotational and longitudinal axis of the square seat extending perpendicular to the mounting side, and arranged on the base element two mutually parallel and spaced apart bearing extensions, in particular molded, are at their free ends a fastener rotatably mounted on which one end of a panic bar handle can be fastened , wherein the two bearing extensions are arranged on the panic bar side facing the axis of rotation of the square socket.

Panic handles and panic bars are known from the prior art in different embodiments and are characterized in that an actuating element extends virtually over the entire width of a door, wherein a movement of the actuating element in the direction of the door to open a door lock provided in the door leads. The actuating element may for example be designed as a rod which can be moved by means of a pivoting movement in the direction of the door leaf.

In all embodiments of known panic handles and panic bars, it is necessary to implement the pivotal movement of the handle or the rod in a rotary motion of a square recording, since this rotational movement via a held in the square holder, coupled with a door lock Square ultimately leads to an opening of the lock. In order to implement this movement, a transmission is provided in conjunction with panic bars or attacks regularly. The transmission requires a certain amount of space, which means that the protruding from the door frame housing the panic handle fitting when opening the door due to a cramped installation situation against a second door, fitting or attachment of a two-leaf door can strike and be damaged. This is the case with conventional panic fittings in which the two bearing extensions are arranged on both sides of the square socket. In these embodiments, usually a fastener for the panic bar is rotatably mounted on the bearing extensions, which has a driving element in the form of a lever which cooperates directly with the square socket and this twisted to open the lock.

To avoid collisions and concomitant damage is from the EP 1 736 624 A2 it is known to slightly skew the housing of the panic fitting, so that it is possible to open the door without collision. Building on the EP 1 736 624 beats the EP 1 764 462 in that the pivot bearing of the panic bar or the panic grip, which is normally formed by the two parallel and arranged on both sides of the square socket bearing extensions, to move laterally so that it is not located above the square but above the door leaf. To achieve this, the EP 1764 462 that both bearing extensions are arranged on the panic bar side facing the axis of rotation of the square socket, and that the movement of the panic bar drives a toothed element which is mounted axially parallel to the square socket in the base member. The base member is formed in two parts, each part forms a bearing extension.

A disadvantage of the solution according to the EP 1 764 462 is that the movement of the panic bar via an additional tooth element takes place and it is necessary due to the tooth element, the base element in two parts form.

Out DE 8900679 U1 and DE 3905191 A1 panic bar handle fittings are previously known in which the handle ends of the panic bar are mounted on a square shaft, which rotates the square socket via a bevel gear. Object of the present invention is to provide a panic fitting, which manages without an additional tooth element.

This object is achieved with a panic fitting with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the panic fitting according to claim 1 result from the features of the subclaims.

According to the invention, the fastening means on a base body, which is rotatably mounted on the bearing extensions. At this base body, a driver element is attached or formed, which serves directly for the positive drive of the square socket. According to the invention, therefore, no further parts for driving the square socket are necessary. The driver element cooperates with a contact surface of the square holder. The invention thus combines the
EP 1 764 462 Known idea of the lateral arrangement of the bearing extensions to the axis of rotation of the square recording with the known from the original design driver element, so that can be dispensed with an additional tooth element. The additional tooth element according to EP 1 764 462 had become necessary because the fastener is separated due to its lateral arrangement by a bearing extension of the square socket. In addition, had at the from the EP 1 764 462 known panic fitting the base element are formed in two parts, wherein a bearing extension is formed on each part. As the side of the axis of rotation of the square socket is understood in the context of the invention, an arrangement in which the bearing extensions are arranged on one side of a plane extending perpendicularly through the axis of rotation.

The invention avoids this disadvantage by the driver element is arranged on the fastening means, which interacts directly with the square socket. This makes it possible that both bearing extensions are arranged on the base element, advantageously integrally formed or welded. The contact surface for the driver element is advantageously formed by a recess in the square socket or attached to the square socket or molded projection. In addition, the base body two have parallel walls, which are aligned parallel to the bearing extensions. In this case, at least the bearing extension, which is arranged in the vicinity of the square socket, advantageously be overlapped by the base body, so that the base body extends into the immediate area of the square socket, so that a direct interaction of the driver element with the square socket is possible. Depending on the required direction of rotation of the square socket to open the lock by pressing the panic handle or the panic bar engages the driver element either on the bearing extension facing away from or facing side of the square socket.

To overlap the bearing extensions, the base body may have two walls formed parallel to one another, whose spacing from each other is greater than the distance between the two sides of the two bearing extensions facing away from one another. The two bearing extensions are thus between the two parallel walls of the base body. In this case, the base body and the two bearing extensions advantageously pass through a shaft. In this case, the shaft can be rotatably mounted or rotatably mounted in the bearing extensions. If the shaft is rotatably mounted in the bearing extensions, the base body can be arranged rotationally fixed or rotatable on the shaft. If the shaft is non-rotatably arranged on the bearing extensions, the base body must be rotatably mounted on the shaft.

On the shaft, a spring is advantageously pushed, which is supported on the one hand with its first end against the base member and with its second end against the base body. The panic handle or the panic bar is thus adjusted by the spring in his or her initial position. Against the spring force of the panic bar or the panic bar can be pivoted in the direction of the door leaf to open the lock.

For storage of the shaft, the bearing extensions advantageously circular window-like recesses or holes.

The base element advantageously has a base plate which forms with its one side the first side for engagement with a door. At the rod handle facing first longitudinal side of the base plate, a side wall is formed or attached, at the end of the first of the two bearing extensions arranged, in particular integrally formed, is. A further wall is arranged in the region of the first longitudinal side, in particular integrally formed or welded, which forms the second bearing extension or on which the second bearing extension is formed or fastened. The first side wall may be formed straight or curved, so that increases the distance of the side wall to the door surface with increasing distance to the longitudinal side. As a result, a free space between the lateral projection of the panic fitting and the door leaf is created, which becomes larger with increasing distance to the door frame. The filigree design has a visually advantageous effect.

The base body advantageously has a wall which extends from the base body via the square receptacle and forms the entrainment element at its end. Of course, the driver element can also be formed or fastened directly without corresponding wall on the base body. At least one contact surface can also be formed on the base body or on the wall, which limits the pivotal movement of the base body and thus the movement of the panic grip or the panic bar. These contact surfaces cooperate with corresponding attacks of the base element.

On the base body advantageously a fastening means is arranged, in particular integrally formed, on which one end of the panic grip or the panic bar is releasably secured.

A spring drives the panic handle or the panic bar into their initial position, in which the lock is not open. It is advantageous if the spring is mounted on the shaft and is supported with its one end on the base body and with its other end on the base member, in particular a projection formed thereon.

The square socket is held in position relative to the base element by a bearing part, which in turn is fastened to the base element, in particular by means of screws.

The panic fitting also advantageously has a cap that closes the panic fitting, so that on the one hand in particular the moving parts of the panic fitting can not be affected by external influences and on the other hand, the risk of injury is minimized.

Hereinafter, a possible embodiment of the panic fitting according to the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to drawings.
