Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a flushing device with a suction unit for extracting odors from a sanitary device, such as a toilet bowl or a urinal, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the EP 1 169 522 shows a device for extracting odors from a toilet bowl. According to the device from the EP 1 169 522 a fan with a filter is arranged in the cistern, via which fan air can be sucked out of the toilet bowl, the air then being passed through the filter.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a flushing device with odor extraction elements, which are easier to assemble. Another object is to provide a flushing device which is more reliable and has a longer service life.
  • a flushing device comprises a suction unit for extracting odors from a sanitary device, such as a toilet bowl or urinal, a cistern for receiving rinsing water, a filling valve for filling the cistern and a flushing unit Provision of rinse water.
  • the flushing unit comprises a flushing valve with an overflow pipe and a trigger element for actuating the flushing valve.
  • the suction unit comprises a fan for extracting air through an air duct, which extends at least partially through the cistern, and a filter element for filtering the air, the filter element representing the end of the air duct.
  • the beginning of the air duct is preferably in the sanitary device.
  • Said trigger element, said fan and said filter element are arranged in a common housing.
  • the storage of the trigger element, the fan and the filter element on or in a common housing has the advantage that the elements are easier to assemble.
  • the elements are also protected by the housing and do not come into contact with the rinse water.
  • the housing preferably has an upper housing part and a lower housing part, which can be plugged together.
  • the housing can be used as a whole or as an assembly in the cistern. In another embodiment, it is also conceivable to first mount the lower housing part in the cistern and then to connect the upper housing part to the lower housing part.
  • the housing preferably provides part of the air duct and is air-tight, particularly preferably also water-tight.
  • the overflow pipe opens into the housing, the overflow pipe providing part of said air duct.
  • the air duct is thus provided by the overflow pipe and the said housing.
  • the overflow pipe opens opposite the housing into an opening on the cistern, preferably into the drain opening, which is connected to the sanitary device with a drain pipe.
  • the air duct is provided through the drain pipe, the overflow pipe and the said housing as seen from the sanitary device.
  • a seal is preferably arranged between the upper housing part and the lower housing part.
  • the seal can be a separate seal, such as a rubber seal, or integrated on the upper housing part or on the lower housing part. In the latter case, it would be conceivable for the seal to be provided by two contact surfaces.
  • the housing is preferably largely above the water line of the cistern and therefore comes into minimal contact with the rinsing water when the cistern is fully filled. This further increases the service life of the sanitary device.
  • the housing is preferably formed separately from the cistern and mounted on or in the cistern. The housing is therefore connected to the cistern.
  • the housing is particularly preferably connected to the cistern via a snap connection.
  • the housing is connected to the cistern via the lower housing part, the upper housing part then being connected indirectly to the cistern via the lower housing part.
  • the fan and the filter element are preferably mounted on the upper housing part. Furthermore, the trigger element is preferably mounted at least partially on the lower housing part. This results in a functional separation of the individual elements, which is advantageous in the event of maintenance.
  • the trigger element comprises at least one motor and a trigger lever driven by the motor.
  • the motor is preferably a servo motor.
  • the motor particularly preferably acts with an output lever on the associated release lever. The output lever lifts the release lever, which then in turn acts on the flushing unit, in particular on the flushing valve.
  • the output lever can be moved from a rest position to at least one flushing position. In the rest position, the output lever is particularly preferably not in contact with the release lever, but comes into contact with it when the output lever is moved.
  • the release lever of the release element is preferably mounted on the lower housing part and the motor on the upper housing part. The electrical elements and the mechanical elements are thus separated.
  • the output lever is in a maintenance position or in the rest position, so that it is not in engagement with the release lever.
  • the housing preferably comprises an opening, through which at least one control rod of the flushing valve can be passed, the at least one control rod being connected to the associated release lever.
  • the release lever of the release element is arranged on a bearing element which can be connected to the housing, in particular to the lower housing part.
  • the release element with the bearing element can preferably be inserted into the lower housing part.
  • the housing also includes a control cam for aligning the trigger element during assembly.
  • the control cam moves the release lever in such a way that the release lever in
  • the control cam is particularly preferably arranged on the lower housing part, with the lower housing part being first mounted in the cistern during assembly and then the trigger element being connected to the lower housing part, the trigger element acting on the flush valve.
  • the upper housing part is then connected to the lower housing part.
  • the housing particularly preferably has an edge projecting from the housing around said opening, which extends from the housing into the interior of the cistern to below the water line when fully filled. This means that the peripheral edge comes into contact with the water, whereby the water provides a seal so that air is not drawn into the housing from the cistern via the opening.
  • the filter element is preferably a filter cartridge which is interchangeably mounted in a receptacle formed on the housing.
  • the receptacle preferably has a shape that is complementary to the filter cartridge.
  • the housing In the area of the receptacle, the housing has a further opening through which the air can be fed to the filter element.
  • the filter element lies in front of this opening. The filtered air is released into the interior of the cistern.
  • the filling valve is connected to the housing or is mounted on the housing.
  • a rinsing device 1 according to an embodiment of the invention is shown.
  • the rinsing device 1 comprises a suction unit 2 for extracting odors from a sanitary device, a cistern 3 for receiving rinsing water for rinsing the sanitary device, a filling valve 4 for filling the cistern and a rinsing unit 5 for providing rinsing water for rinsing the sanitary device.
  • the sanitary device can be both a urinal and a toilet bowl.
  • the cistern 3 comprises a base 26 and side walls 27 which extend substantially perpendicularly from the base 26 Fig. 1 and 2nd the front side wall 27 is not shown in order to allow a view into the cistern 3.
  • Four side walls 27 and the bottom 26 provide the cistern 3 with an interior 20.
  • the interior 20 serves to hold water.
  • the cistern 3 is open here. But it can also be provided with a corresponding lid.
  • the cistern 3 comprises a drain opening 29 A drain pipe 30 is arranged in the opening 29 and can be connected to the sanitary device.
  • the drain pipe 30 is connected, for example, to the cistern 3 by means of a connection piece formed on the cistern 3.
  • the flushing unit 5 comprises a flushing valve 6, which closes the opening 29 in the flushing cistern 3.
  • the flushing valve 6 can be raised from the opening 29, water then being able to flow from the flushing cistern 3 through the drain pipe 30 to the sanitary device through the resulting annular gap.
  • the flushing valve 6 comprises an overflow pipe 7, which extends along a central axis. During the flushing process, both the flushing valve 6 and the overflow pipe 7 are raised from the opening 29.
  • the flushing unit 5 comprises a trigger element 8, which serves to actuate the flushing valve 6. With the trigger element 8, the flush valve 6 can be moved from a closed position into an open position. This essentially involves lifting the flushing valve 6.
  • the suction unit 2 comprises a fan 9 for extracting air through an air duct 10.
  • the air duct 10 extends at least partially through the cistern 3.
  • the suction unit 2 further comprises at least one filter element 11 for filtering the air sucked out of the sanitary device.
  • the filter element 11 can contain activated carbon as the filter medium, for example. Other filter media are also conceivable.
  • the filter element 11 represents the end of the air duct 10.
  • the air duct 10 is provided by the drain pipe 30 and the overflow pipe 7.
  • the overflow pipe 7 provides the section of the air duct 10 which extends through the cistern 3.
  • the overflow pipe 10 opens directly into the drain pipe 30 and also serves as a safety element if the filling valve 4 fails, so that water can reach the drain pipe 30 via the overflow pipe 7.
  • Such overflow pipes 7 are already known from the prior art.
  • the trigger element 8, the fan 9 and the filter element 11 are arranged in a common housing 12 or mounted on a common housing 12. This has the advantage that the said elements inside the cistern are protected against external influences by the housing 12 and that the said elements can be fastened in the cistern 3 with a common mechanical base. In addition, leaves the trigger element 8, the fan 9, and the filter element 11 are easier to install because the number of parts is reduced.
  • the housing 12 is formed separately from the cistern 3 and is fastened in or on the cistern 3. The housing 12 can partially protrude from the cistern.
  • the housing 12 is shown in section so that the elements arranged in the housing 12 can be recognized.
  • the housing is shown in the uncut state.
  • the Fig. 3 shows an enlargement of the Fig. 2 .
  • the housing 12 comprises an upper housing part 13 and a lower housing part 14.
  • the upper housing part 13 can be plugged together with the lower housing part 14.
  • parts of the upper housing part 13 protrude into the lower housing part 14.
  • connection between upper housing part 13 and lower housing part 14 is secured here by snap connector 31.
  • the snap connectors 31 can be released accordingly by hand.
  • the housing 12 provides part of the air duct 10 by the arrangement of the fan 9 within the housing 12.
  • the housing 12 is sealed with respect to air, particularly preferably also against water.
  • a seal can be arranged between the upper housing part 13 and the lower housing part 14.
  • the sealing effect can also be provided by the clever design of the connection point between the upper housing part 13 and lower housing part 14, so that no separate seal is necessary.
  • the air duct 10 is provided by the drain pipe 30, the overflow pipe 10, the housing 12 and the filter element 11. Consequently, the air can be drawn out of the sanitary device in the direction of the cistern 3 via this air duct 10. The air flow is opposite to the flushing water flow. The filtered air is discharged into the cistern 3 here. A return to the room in which the sanitary device is placed would also be conceivable.
  • the water line WL of the rinse water is also shown.
  • the water line WL forms the highest water level.
  • the housing 12 is largely above the water line WL.
  • the housing 12 is only minimally in contact with the flushing water when the cistern 3 is fully filled. This has the advantage that the elements arranged in the housing 12 do not come into direct contact with the rinsing water, which significantly increases their service life.
  • the housing 12 only projects into the rinsing water with an edge 19.
  • the edge 19 thus extends down through the water line WL into the rinse water.
  • the function of the edge 19 is detailed below.
  • the fan 9 and the filter element 11 are arranged on the upper housing part 13.
  • the trigger element 8, however, is arranged on the lower housing part 12. This arrangement has the advantage that the elements that provide the air extraction are mounted on a single housing part. In the case of maintenance of the suction unit 2, here the fan 9 and the filter element 11, the installer only has to perform actions on the upper housing part 13.
  • the flushing unit 5, here the trigger element 8, is mounted on the lower housing part 14. When servicing the suction unit 2, the lower housing part 14 can remain in the cistern 3 and does not have to be removed. Consequently, the arrangement of the fan 9 and the filter element 11 on the upper housing part 13 and the arrangement of the trigger element 8 on the lower housing part 12 provide a functional separation of the function of air extraction and the function of flushing.
  • the trigger element 8 it should also be noted that some elements of the trigger element 8, such as a motor 15, can also be arranged on the upper housing part 13. Although this leads to a softening of the functional separation, it has other advantages.
  • the housing 12 is mounted in the cistern.
  • the housing 12 is connected to the cistern 3 via a snap connection.
  • the corresponding snap elements are particularly preferably arranged on the lower housing part 14. This means that the upper housing part 13 is not mechanically connected to the cistern 3, but is connected to the cistern 3 via the lower housing part 12.
  • the trigger element 8 further comprises a motor 15 and a trigger lever 16 driven by the motor 15.
  • the trigger lever 16 is connected to a control rod 18 of the flushing valve 6.
  • the control rod 18 and thus also the flushing valve 6 is raised from the opening 29 by a movement of the trigger lever 16.
  • full flushing or partial flushing can take place.
  • the trigger lever 16 either moves to two different positions or the opening is time-controlled.
  • the trigger lever 16 includes, as of the Fig. 6 can be recognized, in the present embodiment, a bearing section 32 and a lever section 33.
  • the release lever 16 is connected to the control rod 18 with the lever section 33, the control rod 18 having an opening 34 for this purpose.
  • the release lever 16 is connected to a bearing element 12 by the bearing section 32.
  • the bearing element 21 can preferably be connected to the housing 12, here to the lower housing part 14.
  • the bearing element 21 can preferably be inserted into the lower housing part 14.
  • the trigger lever 16 is pivotally mounted to the bearing element 21. For this purpose, two pivot pins 35 on the release lever 16 engage in receiving openings 36 on the bearing element 21.
  • the trigger lever 16 here also includes a shoulder 37.
  • the movement of the motor 15 acts on the trigger lever 16 via the shoulder 37.
  • the motor 15 includes an output lever 23 for transmitting the movement.
  • the output lever 23 stands with the output shaft 38 of the motor 15 in connection.
  • the output lever 23 engages the shoulder 37 here.
  • the Fig. 3 can be recognized that the output lever 23 is in the rest position. If the flushing is now triggered, the output lever 23 pivots to the trigger lever 16 and engages it on the shoulder 37, whereby the trigger lever 16 and thus the control rod 18 are raised. The rinse is triggered.
  • the output lever 23 is then pivoted back into the rest position, as a result of which the release lever 16 is moved downward again.
  • the purge valve 16 is then closed again.
  • the motor 16 with the output lever 23 is arranged here on the upper housing part 13. Consequently, parts of the release element 8 are arranged on the upper housing part 13 and parts of the release element 8 on the lower housing part 14. As a result, the above-mentioned functional separation is not achieved directly.
  • the arrangement of the motor 16 as an electrical component on the same housing part as the fan 9, which is also an electrical component has the advantage that only the said housing part has to be replaced in the event of an electrical defect. Consequently, there is also a kind of functional separation here between electrical components which are arranged on the upper housing part 13 and mechanical components which are arranged on the lower housing part 14.
  • the lower housing part 14 has a control cam 22 for aligning the release lever 16. If the bearing element 21 with the release lever 16 is now placed in the lower housing part 14, the release lever 16 is aligned via the control cam 22.
  • the trigger lever 16 is automatically connected to the control rod 18 via the control cam 22 when it is assembled. Consequently, the trigger lever 16 is guided accordingly by the control cam 22 during assembly.
  • the housing 12 here the lower housing part 14, comprises an opening 17 through which at least one control rod 18 of the flushing valve can be passed.
  • the control rod 18 thus protrudes into the housing 12.
  • the at least one control rod 18 is connected to the associated release lever 16.
  • the housing 12 comprises a protruding edge 19 which extends around said opening 17.
  • the edge 19 extends away from the housing 12 and completely surrounds the opening 17.
  • the edge 19 ends below the water line WL and thus projects into the water. With full filling of the cistern 3, the edge 19 thus extends below WL waterline. As a result, the opening 17 is sealed accordingly, because no air can reach the opening 17 from above the water line WL.
  • the opening 17 is preferably arranged in a collar-like section 40, which extends into the housing 12. During the suction process, a negative pressure prevails within the housing 12.
  • This collar-like section 40 has the advantage that the water located within the rim 19 cannot be sucked into the housing 12 during the suction process. Consequently, the distance between the highest water level and the opening 17 is increased by the collar-like section 40.
  • the filter element 11 is preferably a filter cartridge 24 which is interchangeably mounted in a receptacle 25 formed on the housing 12.
  • the filter element 11 is mounted on the housing 12.
