Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for checking the operability of at least one security element of a security circuit of an elevator installation, in which at least one security element a first and a second processing unit are used and the at least one security element is connected via a communication network with a control unit.
  • Conventional elevator systems have safety circuits consisting of series-connected safety elements.
  • these security elements monitor the condition of manhole or cabin doors.
  • Such a security element may be a door contact, a latch contact, a buffer contact, a flap contact, a sensor, an actuator, a drive switch, an emergency stop switch, etc.
  • An open contact shows that z. B. a door is open and a potentially inadmissible door condition has occurred. If an inadmissible open state of the doors is now identified when the contact is open, then the safety circuit is interrupted, which has the consequence that a drive or brakes, which act on the travel of an elevator car, bring the elevator car to a standstill.
  • a safety system or a safety circuit for an elevator installation is known from the document EP1638880, which has a control unit as well as at least one security element and a bus as the communication network.

What is meant by a bus or bus system, for example, in the book bus systems, parallel and serial bus systems, local networks, by Georg Desirber, R. Oldenbourg Verlag Kunststoff Vienna 1987, ISBN 3-486-20120-4 described.
