Abstract

The method involves cutting multiple sheets in strip packets (5) and cutting the strip packets into stack packets (6). A die cutting device is provided, by which the stack packets are punched to stacks of shaped labels. Two or multiple stack packets are moved relative to each other such that multiple stack packets layered on top of each other are fed to the die cutting device and are punched to stacks of shaped labels. Two strip packets are cut to stack packets at a time and subsequently layered with a strip packet cross cutter (1).

Description

Parts of such a plant which are suitable for carrying out the process according to the invention are known from various documents. In their entirety, such equipment is also offered on the market by the notifying party. The document EP 482435 shows a Förderbeziehungsweise transfer path and a subsequent die-punching device, which is additionally equipped here with a Bandierstation. The Streifenpaketquerschneider not shown in the above-mentioned document, which is arranged practically at the other end of the transfer path, is for example from the EP 2228182 known.

Molded labels are known in many shapes and sizes and their use is very common. One finds such labels on glass containers, such as beer bottles, yogurt cups or oil bottles or in the form of seals on beer bottles, cigarette boxes or cigar bands etc. In all these applications, huge quantities are needed. Accordingly, equipment as mentioned above is known to produce such shape labels. For this purpose, printed or unprinted paper sheets, with or without the printed-on form labels, are produced by print shops and finished in print finishing operations to produce printed or unprinted labels or rectangular / square-shaped uses. In the mentioned systems, which usually consist of three or more workstations, the stamped shape labels are finally separated into stacks of defined number of labels / use in a separating station, then banded and stacked in a carton, tray or box for transport. In the plan cutting machine, the printed sheets produced in the printing press are cut into strips so that strip packs are now present and these strip packs are then cut off transversely to their longitudinal orientation. If one cuts a strip arc stack perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, this results in a so-called stacking package. This stacking pack is then moved over a conveyor or transfer line to a form punch or punching device and here each individual stack of packages punched into the final shape and then attached to this stack of shape labels a band that secures the stack of form labels and allows the further transport to the customers. These customers are companies that own bottling or packaging equipment and operate it for their own use or as a service to third parties.

Due to the enormous numbers of such shape labels that are needed, the equipment on which the desired shape label stack packages are formed must also have high performance. It goes without saying, however, that the reliability and service life of the individual parts must be as high as possible in order to minimize downtime for revisions.

In principle, one could imagine to increase the performance of such a system by making the stack packages as high as possible, so that in principle less cuts per unit time must be made both in the strip package cross cutter and in the punching device. However, there are relatively narrow limits for two reasons. On the one hand, stacks of sheets of any desired height can not be cut on the strip packet cross cutter without enormously reinforcing this strip packet cross cutter. Second but are printed and often plasticized shape labels relatively slippery and the shape labels slip when cutting higher stacking packages, even if they are held under form. Thirdly, there is still a natural limitation on the amount of stack packages, since these are packaged by hand and partly entered into the further processing plants. In this case, therefore, such a stack package may not be higher than this can be taken quickly and secured by one hand, that is less high than a hand span. Usual stack packs are 12 cm high today.

On the other hand, however, a strip packet cross cutter can easily cut more than one strip packet at a time. However, if the strip package cross cutter cuts, for example, from 2 to 4 stack packets per second, from 2 to 4 strip packs lying next to one another, this increases the frequency of the stack packages arriving at the form punching device. Their clock speed is limited.

The applicant has determined in investigations that for each punching the top labels, depending on the substrate used, used inner and outer angle of the punching tool, feed rate during punching and other factors are slightly larger than the bottom. This is called the undercut to keep within defined limits. In case of insufficient stability of the Punching tool, the punching tool can easily deform during punching and get into a certain vibration, which in each case at the beginning of the cut of the stack is of inferior quality and the subsequent cutting range with calmer knife of higher quality. Here it is found that as the frequency of the punching device increases the penetration rate, which consequently also increases, leads to a greater deformation of the blade and the cut quality thus decreases with increasing operating frequency and at the same time the life, to calm the knife by the increased vibrations occurring increases.

Thus, there is a dilemma that the performance of a mold stack stacking line can not be increased simply by forming more stack packs per unit time, but at the same time, it would be necessary to reduce the cycle time of the punching machine.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a method by means of known systems for the formation of shaped-label stacking packages, in which the power can be increased, without causing a significant increase in cost of the known system.

This object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the method will become apparent from the dependent claims and their meaning and effect will be explained in the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawing, purely by way of example, four different embodiments of the inventive method are shown schematically. It shows:
FIG. 1
a process in the stack packages individually cut stacked and then punched.
FIG. 2
shows a variant in which several stack packages are cut simultaneously, again stacked and punched.
FIG. 3
shows a solution in which the stacking of the stacking packets in a shaft near the plan cutting machine, while
FIG. 4
shows such a solution in which the shaft stack stacking part of a punching device.

In the FIG. 1 a first implementation variant of the inventive method is shown. This is how it works Procedure in the drawing from right to left. Accordingly, one recognizes quite quite the symbolically represented Streifenpaketquerschneider, which is designated 1. From the strip packet cross cutter 1 extends to the punching device 3, the transfer or conveyor section 2. Between the strip packet cross cutter 1 and the punching device 3, a gripper 4 is shown symbolically. In the strip packet cross cutter 1, the strip packets 5 cut from sheets are in contact. The strip package 5 is shown with a view of the narrow end face. The knife 15 of the strip package cutters separates stepwise pieces thereof according to the size of the formed labels to be formed, and these cut pieces are referred to as stacking packs. The stacking package has the reference numeral 6. In the system shown here symbolically the transfer or conveyor line 2 is shown. In reality, however, this is a rectangular in cross-section L-shaped about 20 - 30 degrees inclined channel by the strands of packets separated by 5 Streifenpaketquerschneider 5 are stored and transported. This transport can be done in principle by means of appropriate sliders or by means of other funding, such as conveyor belts.

In the first variant of the method according to the invention, only one is produced by means of the strip package cross cutter 1 supplied to individual strip package and accordingly also only individually the separated stack packages 6 further promoted. The transport is preferably carried out stepwise. This forms a series of stacking packets 6 and in this embodiment is located above the conveying or transfer line 2, a gripper 4. This gripper 4 now holds a stack of 6 and now puts this on a previously funded stack package 6, so now a layered Stack 7 is created. In the example shown here, this layered stack 7 consists of two stack packages 6. The layered stack 7 is then guided to the punching device 3 and brought into the final shape.

In the illustrated and preferred example here each stack package 6 is provided with a release liner 61 to top or bottom and this separation layer is used to bring the stamped in their final form of shape labels again in the same size form label stack as the original stacking packs 6. These form label stacks are then provided with a band by means of a banding device, not shown here, and then these banded form label stacks arrive at the glue station of a filling or packaging plant.

In principle, the stack packages 6 formed by means of the strip package cross cutter 1 could be moved continuously to the punching device 3. It is however, it makes more sense to do this in a timely manner. So you can advance the stiffener 5 during downtime, move the knife 11 down and put a stack of 6 in the conveyor section 2. During the same time, the gripper 4 can now be grasped a position already on the conveyor line 2 in a position remote from the strip package cross cutter 1 and stacked on a stack package 6 which is further removed further from the strip package cross cutter. In addition, during the same time, the pre-punching device 3 can punch the stacked stacking packs, which are advanced further, into shape labels 8, as shown in FIG Fig. 1 is shown in the leftmost position. This clocked feed can be realized with the least technical effort, but a continuous feed would certainly also conceivable.

A further preferred embodiment variant of the method according to the invention consists in that the strip package cross cutter 1 cuts at least two strip packages at once and these adjacent strip packages 6 are subsequently layered to form a layered stack 7. In the Fig. 3 such an embodiment is shown. In this case, the two strip packs lying directly next to one another can be transported further on the conveying path 2 and subsequently as previously described in US Pat Fig. 2 shown to be stacked on a layered stack 7.

In principle, a plurality of strip packages 5 can be cut simultaneously by means of the strip package cross cutter 1 and formed in one or more successive steps by means of one or more grippers 4 to form a layered stack 7. Such a solution is in the Fig. 2 shown.

In particular, when a plurality of such stacking packs 6 have been formed into a stacked stack 7, it makes sense to provide the individual stacking packs at the top or bottom with a separating layer 61. Thus, after the layered stack 7 has been punched into a shaped label stack package 8, stack packages of stamped labels can again be formed, and these can then be banded as is usual today.

In principle, the layered stacks 7 can be formed from a plurality of stacking packages 6 in a wide variety of ways. In addition to the variant already mentioned by means of grippers, it is of course also possible to form the layered stack so that at any point of the conveyor line 2 a lowerable bottom 10 is provided by means of a lifting device 11, as soon as a first stack of packages 6 has been brought to rest , is lowered. A second stack packet is pushed over the now lowered first stack packet 6 and the layered stack 7 thus formed the lowerable bottom 10 with the lifting device 11 is raised back to the original level. As described above, the layered stack is cyclically advanced to the punching device 3.

In principle, a shaft 9 is required in that the stacking package 6 and the lowerable bottom 10 is exactly feasible.

Such a shaft 9 with lowerable base 10 and lifting means 11 can be mounted in principle at any point of the conveyor line 2.

However, two such variants are particularly preferred. A first one is in the FIG. 3 shown, and here the leadership of the strip packs 5 is arranged so that a first cut Stapelpaket6 comes directly to the lowerable bottom 10. Once this first stack package 6 is completely separated on this lowerable bottom, the lifting device 11 is actuated and moved the second separated stack package exactly over the shaft 9, whereupon then the layered stack 8 thus formed raised and can be transported.

A second particularly preferred arrangement is that the shaft 9 is arranged directly in alignment under the die-punching device 3. As a result, the lowerable floor 10 and thus also the lifting device 11 optionally a second function. On the one hand, it is possible, as before, to lift the layered stack and then, in this upper position, to move the forming knife of the punching device 3 down to the lowerable base 10. However, it is also possible to leave the layered stack 8 in the shaft 9, to lower the forming blade of the punching device to the level of the conveyor line 2 and then move the lifting device 11 upwards and thereby lift the layered stack 7 and the stacked stack 8 through to press the die punch of the punching device 3.

In summary, therefore, the method according to the invention consists in cutting strip packages either one at a time or several into stack packages, bringing two or more stack packages together and punching these stacked stack packages in a single punching movement to form a stacked form label stack. Optionally, this stack can then be separated again into smaller stack packages and these stack packages of form labels are also optionally banded. Practically, however, in most cases you will always make this separation and virtually always banding below. Only where this method is directly preceded by a filling or packaging device and the form labels can be guided directly to a glue station can, where appropriate, to the formation of new stack packages of form labels be waived. However, the normal case will be that this inventive method is performed independently and remotely from a filling or packaging plant. This is also useful because such a system can now provide a much higher performance than a filling system can consume form labels.

In addition to the possibilities already described two or more stacking packages to form a layered stack is also a possibility to tilt the stack packages by 90 ° and collapse these tilted stack packages to the desired height of a layered stack 7 and then turn back this layered stack by 90 ° so that a standing stack arises. It would also be conceivable to push this layer stack 7, which was tilted by 90 °, directly to the die-punching device, in which case the die-punching device would then have to be mounted practically flush with the conveying path.

Another variant of forming the layer stack can also consist in that the conveyor line is provided with a switch and here the stack packages are distributed on two conveyor lines which are then brought together again on top of each other and so the stack packages are formed.

Again, other ways to form stacked stacking packages are not excluded.
