  • the filters may be designed as special filters.
  • a filter may be formed as a multi-segment filter and contain adsorbent materials such as activated carbon.
  • additives and in particular flavorings are introduced in a filter. These are especially in liquid or gel form.
  • the additives can be injected directly into the filter or even inserted into the filter with the aid of an additive filled body. These bodies can be destroyed by pressure on the filter as needed by the user to release the additives therein and thus the flavor of the smoking article to influence.
  • These bodies are in particular in the form of capsules or balls, but will be referred to simply as bodies in the following.
  • Menthol, mint, eucalyptus, fruit flavor or other suitable flavoring, as well as mixtures thereof are known as additives and in particular flavoring and flavoring agents for such bodies.
  • modifiers can be used in bodies which neutralize, ameliorate, humidify or cool the smoke.
  • these substances are generally referred to as additives.
  • the device according to the invention for the recovery of articles of smoking articles from smoking articles has at least one conveying device for moving the smoking articles along a conveying direction and at least one cutting device and at least one discharging device for removing a smoking article and / or an ejecting device for removing a body from a filter of a smoking article.
  • a smoking article By the at least one cutting device, a smoking article, and preferably a part of a filter or the entire filter can be cut off. A separated from the cutting device filter section can then be removed by the discharge device from the conveyor and collected separately. This has the advantage. That special filters or sections located therein such as activated carbon segments can be easily separated and then recovered.
  • an ejection device for bodies located in the filter can be provided. If such bodies are arranged on the outer edge of the filter, they can be mechanically removed directly by the ejection device and then collected for reuse.
  • the cutting device can separate only a part of the filter to expose one or more bodies located in the filter, which are then separated via the ejection device from the rest of the filter.
  • the conveying device is designed as an endless conveyor belt with a plurality of receptacles for the smoking articles.
