Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Staubsauger des Upright-Typs (1) mit einem Oberkörper (3) und einer mit dem Oberkörper (3) schwenkbeweglich verbundenen Bodeneinheit (2), die einen Saugmund (14) im vorderen Bereich der Bodeneinheit (2) aufweist und die mit einem Fahrwerk ausgestattet ist, um den Staubsauger während des Saugbetriebes über die zu reinigenden Flächen bewegen zu können, wobei das Fahrwerk mindestens ein im hinteren Bereich der Bodeneinheit (2) angeordnetes Laufrad (5) umfasst, mit einem zwischen dem Oberkörper (3) und der Bodeneinheit (2) angeordneten Schwenkmechanismus um den Oberkörper (3) während des Saugbetriebes verschwenken zu können, wobei der Oberkörper (3) in eine im Wesentlichen aufrechten Parkposition bewegt werden kann, wobei ein Verstellmechanismus dazu eingerichtet ist, das Laufrad (5) von einer ersten Position während des Saugbetriebs in eine zweite Position in der Parkposition zu verstellen, wobei das Laufrad (5) in der zweiten Position einen größeren Abstand zum Saugmund (14) hat als in der ersten Position während des Saugbetriebes.
Mit der vorliegenden Erfindung wird ein neuartiger, zwischen dem Oberkörper (3) und der Bodeneinheit (2) wirkender Verstellmechanismus für das Laufrad (5) vorgeschlagen. Der Verstellmechanismus, ist als Hebelgetriebe ausgebildet und bei der Bewegung des Oberkörpers (3) in die Parkposition gelangt ein an dem Oberkörper (3) gebildetes Betätigungselement (7) mit dem Hebelgetriebe derart in Eingriff, dass das mit dem Hebelgetriebe in Verbindung stehende Laufrad (5) durch das Hebelgetriebe nach hinten verstellt wird.
