Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of paper handling, in particular to a filling station for filling an envelope, to a paper handling system and to a method for filling an envelope in a filling station.
  • the US 7,475,522 B2 shows a filling station with direct feeding of the envelopes from above.
  • An envelope moves from the envelope feeder coming against a stop, is taken up by two worm wheels, separated and introduced vertically into the fill level.
  • the stopper is opened and the envelope is transported out of the filling station.
  • the EP 1 275 523 A describes an approach for introducing a material into an envelope, wherein the envelopes fed from above, separated by worm wheels and fed by the movement of the worm wheels of the filling station.
  • the EP 1 473 173 A describes an inserter in which the envelopes are fed to the filling station from below. The feed is made by worm wheels, which are subsequently released to the envelope filling for the envelope output.
  • the filling stations for inserting machines described above have short paths in the feeding of the envelopes to the filling station. In order to transport a subsequent envelope into the filling station, it is only necessary to bridge a movement path which substantially corresponds to the thickness of the envelope or the distance of a flight. Already during the removal of the filled envelope, the next envelope for the envelope opening is available. The avoidance of large paths and the associated long dead times makes it possible that the supply of envelopes to the filling station does not have to have high speeds, but can be worked at low speeds. These approaches are therefore suitable for high clock rates.
  • the US 7,475,522 B2 relates to an embodiment of a filling station in which the clock power can be 30,000 envelopes / h. Due to the short travel distances and the low speeds, a compact design of the system is also possible.
  • the opening of the envelope and the keeping open of the envelope is carried out according to the above-described three solutions exclusively by blowing air.
  • this is only conditionally reliable, since on the one hand even small adhesions of the envelope on the inside make the opening of the envelope only by blowing air considerably more difficult, and on the other hand, the holding open of the envelope exclusively on blowing a partial or complete "blowing out" of the contents of the Effect envelope.
  • the WO 2010/027521 A1 relates to a filling station according to the preamble of claim 1, and a method for filling an envelope according to the preamble of claim 12.
  • the EP 0 671 286 A1 relates to a unit for processing an envelope, which are withdrawn from the envelopes of a magazine and moved by means of an envelope transport chain to an area at which a filling of the envelope is to take place by means of a good.
  • Grippers are provided along the chain which grip the bottom of the envelope and move the envelope.
  • the envelope is received by the magazine, at a second position its tab is opened, at a third position, an opening of the envelope body by means of the nipple, so that a good can retract, and at a fourth position is filled Ejected envelope.
  • the US 4,020,615 A shows an inserting system in which an envelope of a support is provided, and is moved from there by means of a transport in the direction of a filling station.
  • the open flap of the envelope is held in place by means of a mechanism and U-shaped fingers are inserted into the envelope, so as to introduce a good.
  • the present invention has the object to provide an improved approach to the introduction of goods in an envelope, which prevents the disadvantages described above, recognized in the prior art.
  • the present invention further provides a paper handling system having one or more paper handling components, such as a cutter, a merger, a gathering station, a folder, and / or a gathering path with one or more shim feeder (s) to provide a filling material and having a filling station according to Embodiments of the invention, wherein a controller is further provided, which is operative to control the paper handling component and the filling station.
  • a paper handling system having one or more paper handling components, such as a cutter, a merger, a gathering station, a folder, and / or a gathering path with one or more shim feeder (s) to provide a filling material and having a filling station according to Embodiments of the invention, wherein a controller is further provided, which is operative to control the paper handling component and the filling station.
