Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (1) und ein Verfahren zur Verbrennung fester, biogener Brennstoffe in einer ersten Brennstufe (2) mit einer ersten Zuführeinrichtung (4) des Brennstoffs in ein Brenngutbett (7), einer Primärluftzufuhreinrichtung (8), einer Zündeinrichtung zur Entzündung des Brennstoffs im Brenngutbett (7), einem über dem Brenngutbett (7) vorgesehenen Brennraum (11) sowie einem in einem Wärmestrom des verbrannten Brennguts angeordneten Wärmetauscher (13) mit zumindest einem nachgeschalteten Wärmespeicher. Um eine Verbesserung der Dynamik, einer effizienten Nutzung des Brennstoffs und eines Schadstoffausstoßes zu erzielen, ist die erste Brennstufe (2) als eine Wärmegrundlast kompensierende Brennstufe ausgebildet und eine zweite, Wärmebedarfsspitzen abdeckende Brennstufe (3) mit einer zweiten, im Brennraum (11) selbstentzündlichen Brennstoff eintragenden Zuführeinrichtung (10) vorgesehen.
