Bei bandförmigen Schussmaterialien kann es aufgrund ihrer Breite zu einer Wellenbildung in Schussrichtung kommen, welche die Ausbildung flacher Gewebe erschwert. Ebenso ist bei Verwendung bandförmiger Materialien als Schussmaterial ein herkömmlicher Schussanschlag mittels eines Webblatts nicht möglich, da dieser Beschädigungen und Verformungen an dem bandförmigen Schussmaterial hervorrufen würde. Claims (15)

  1. A weaving machine (1) for producing a woven fabric (9) with shedding means (4) for alternately raising and lowering warp material (3) in order to form a shed (5), with weft insertion means (6) which are arranged in the warp direction in a stationary manner in a weft insertion zone (14) in order to insert a tape-shaped weft material (7) into the shed (5), with draw-off means (8) for drawing off the finished cloth (9) in a drawing-off direction (AR), and with means (13, 10) for moving the cloth in the warp direction, by means of which means (13, 10) the cloth fell (12) can be moved to and fro in a cloth movement range (WB) between an initial position (AG) which lies downstream and a pick-up position (AH) which lies upstream, in order to bring the weft material (7) inserted last in each case into contact with the cloth fell (12) in the pick-up position (AH), characterized in that furthermore, upper and lower limiting means (16) are provided which limit the opening of the shed (5), in that the limiting means (16) can be moved to and fro in the warp direction within a limiting-means movement range (BB) between an end position (EP2) which lies upstream and an end position (EP1) which lies downstream, and in that the limiting means (16) can be moved, at least counter to the drawing-off direction (AR), without contact with the cloth (9) and the last-inserted weft material (7).
  2. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the limiting-means movement range (BB) is different from the cloth movement range (WB), preferably larger than the cloth movement range (WB).
  3. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the limiting means (16) can be driven in the warp direction by means of a separate drive (21) independent of the cloth movement means (13, 10).
  4. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the weft insertion zone (14) lies substantially within the limiting-means movement range (BB).
  5. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the cloth fell (12) can be maintained by the cloth movement means (13,10) in the pick-up position (AH) in a temporary standstill.
  6. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the limiting means (16) can be maintained in one or several arbitrary positions within the limiting-means movement range (BB) in a temporary standstill.
  7. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the limiting means (16) can be maintained in an intermediate position (ZP) and/or in the end position (EP2) which lies upstream in a temporary standstill.
  8. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the shed forming means (4) are designed such that in the weaving operation after shed closing a temporary shed standstill is made possible.
  9. A weaving machine according to claim 8, characterized in that the shed forming means (4) comprise shafts with elongated heddle eyes (11), which make possible a shed standstill over at least 1/36 of a weaving cycle.
  10. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the limiting means (16) contain two rails (19) extending in the weft direction.
  11. A weaving machine according to claim 10, characterized in that a distance (d) of the rails (19) is adjustable, preferably adjustable in the weaving operation.
  12. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the limiting means (16) are designed as clamping means.
  13. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that a movable weaving comb (15) is provided in the warp direction between a front end position (EV) and a rear end position (EH), wherein the front end position (EV) of the weaving comb (15) in relation to drawing-off direction lies upstream of the weft insertion zone (14) or just reaches the latter.

  15. A weaving machine according to claim 1, characterized in that at least one sensor (24') is arranged on the weaving machine (1), which records the position of the last-inserted weft material (7).
