Description

A WASHING MACHINE COMPRISING A CLEANING AGENT DISPENSER
  • The present invention relates to a washing machine comprising a dispenser wherein the cleaning agents are placed.
  • The washing machines comprise dispensers wherein cleaning agents are placed. The cleaning agent placed in the dispenser is delivered into the washing tub after being mixed with the wash water. The transfer of water taken from the mains into the dispenser is realized by means of the flushing device disposed on the dispenser. When the pressure of the water taken from the mains is high, the water moves forward at a high speed on the flushing device. When all of the slots disposed on the flushing device are filled with water, not all the water flows through the holes at the base of the slots and returns back. Some of the returning water is delivered into the washing tub through the openings on the flushing device without reaching the inside of the dispenser. When all the water taken from the mains cannot be directed into the dispenser, the cleaning agent put into the dispenser cannot be entirely swept by water and hence cleaning agent residues remain at the deep ends of the dispenser. This situation adversely affecting the washing/rinsing performance of the washing machine also adversely affects the customer satisfaction.
  • In the state of the art European Patent Documents No. EP0330880, EP0331920 and EP0758031, a washer is explained, comprising a cleaning agent dispenser wherein water and detergent are mixed by means of a flushing device and this mixture is delivered to the washing tub.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a washing machine wherein all of the cleaning agent loaded into the dispenser is effectively delivered into the washing tub.
  • The washing machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises a dispenser wherein the cleaning agents are loaded, a flushing device disposed on the dispenser, providing the water taken from the mains to be transferred into the dispenser, at least one transmitter disposed on the flushing device, having more than one hole disposed at the base thereof, providing the water to be transferred into the dispenser and at least one channel providing the water taken from the mains to pass into the transmitter by flowing therethrough. The washing machine furthermore comprises a barrier disposed on the channel, preventing the water passing from the channel to the transmitter from passing to the channel from the transmitter by flowing in the reverse direction. During the washing process, the water taken from the mains passes to the transmitter by flowing through the channel and accumulates in the transmitter. The water that fills the transmitter reaches the inside of the dispenser by passing through the holes. The barrier prevents the water from returning back by forming an obstruct in front of the water that fills the transmitter. Thus, almost all of the water taken from the mains is provided to the transferred to the washing tub by being passed through the dispenser. Consequently, the cleaning agents loaded into the dispenser are effectively swept and thus the washing efficiency of the washing machine is improved.
  • While the barrier allows the water flowing in the channel to pass into the transmitter, it does not allow the water filling the transmitter to pass into the channel. The barrier allows the water to flow in one direction, from the channel to the transmitter.
  • The height of the barrier is as much as the level difference between the base of the channel and the base of the transmitter. The barrier serves as an obstruct in front of the water filling the transmitter and prevents the water from flowing towards the channel.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the barrier is disposed at the end of the channel connected to the transmitter. The water taken from the mains and flowing through the channel passes to the transmitter by passing over the barrier.
  • In another embodiment of the present invention, the barrier has an inclined surface. Thus, during its passage from the channel towards the transmitter, the water flows steady over the barrier.
  • By means of the present invention, almost all of the water taken from the mains is provided to pass into the dispenser. Thus, the washing performance of the washing machine is improved by providing the entire cleaning agent loaded into the dispenser to be transferred into the washing tub.
  • The washing machine realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
  • Figure 1 – is the schematic view of a washing machine.
  • Figure 2 – is the perspective view of a flushing device.
  • Figure 3 – is the view of detail A in Figure 2.
  • Figure 4 – is the perspective view of a flushing device.
  • Figure 5 – is the view of cross-section BB in Figure 4.
  • Figure 6 – is the partial perspective view of a flushing device.
  • The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
    1. Washing machine
    2. Dispenser
    3. Transmitter
    4. Hole
    5. Channel
    6. Flushing device
    7. Barrier
  • The washing machine (1) comprises a dispenser (2) wherein cleaning agents such as detergent, softener, etc. are placed and wherein the cleaning agents are mixed with water, and a flushing device (6)
    • disposed on the dispenser (2),
    • providing the water to be directed into the dispenser (2),
    • having at least one transmitter (3) having more than one hole (4) disposed on the base thereof, providing the water to pass into the dispenser (2) and
    • at least one channel (5) providing the water taken from the mains to reach the transmitter (3) by passing therethrough.
  • The water taken from the mains during the washing of the laundry is delivered to the dispenser (2) by means of the flushing device (6). The cleaning agents placed into the dispenser (2) are mixed with water and delivered to the washing tub.
  • The washing machine (1) of the present invention comprises a barrier (7) disposed on the channel (5), preventing the water passing from the channel (5) to the transmitter (3) from returning into the channel (5). The water taken from the mains during the washing flows through the channel (5) and passes to the transmitter (3). The barrier (7) prevents the water from passing to the channel (5) by forming an obstruct in front the water passing to the transmitter (3). Thus, almost all of the water taken from the mains is provided to be accumulated in the transmitter (3). Water remaining in the transmitter (3) is directed into the dispenser (2) by passing through the holes (4) at the base of the transmitter (3). Thus, the cleaning agents loaded into the dispenser (2) are provided to be effectively swept with water. Sweeping all of the cleaning agents and delivering them to the washing tub improves the washing performance.
  • While the barrier (7) allows the water to flow from the channel (5) towards the transmitter (3), the barrier (7) does not allow the water to flow from the transmitter (3) towards the channel (5). In other words, the barrier (7) allows the one-way flow of the water from the channel (5) towards the transmitter (3). By means of the barrier (7), the water is prevented from flowing in the reverse direction, from the transmitter (3) towards the channel (5).
  • The height of the barrier (7) is almost equal to the distance between the base of the transmitter (3) and the base of the channel (5). The base of the channel (5) is at a higher level than the base of the transmitter (3). The water moving through the channel (5) flows downwards over the barrier (7) during its passage to the transmitter (3). Moreover, the water filling into the transmitter (3) by passing through the channel (5) cannot flow from bottom to top.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the barrier (7) is disposed at the end of the channel (5) connected to the transmitter (3). The water taken from the mains during the washing reaches the barrier (7), flowing through the channel (5) and passes to the transmitter (3) over the barrier (7). The barrier (7) provides the water in the channel (5) to pass to the transmitter (3).
  • In another embodiment of the present invention, the barrier (7) has an inclined surface. The water flowing through the channel (5) flows downwards over the barrier (7) by skimming the surface of the barrier (7). By the inclined configuration of the surface of the barrier (7), the passage of the water flowing through the channel (5) to the transmitter (3) is facilitated. The water flowing through the channel (5) passes to the transmitter (3) without splashing around.
  • In the washing machine (1) of the present invention, the cleaning agents loaded into the dispenser (2) are provided to effectively participate in the washing process and thus the washing/rinsing efficiency of the washing machine (1) is increased.
  • It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed above and a person skilled in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.
