- Pliers, of the type that consist of a first male handle (1) and a second female handle (2), forming the jaws of the pliers and that are joined together by a joint bolt (3); where the male handle (1) defines a slotted window (11), of straight or curved configuration, whose walls carry teeth or grooves (11a), along which slotted window (11) the female handle (2) can reach various working positions to vary the clamping capacity of the mouth; and where the joint bolt (3) presents a reduced zone (31) in correspondence with the teeth or grooves of the slotted window (11); and where the joint bolt (3) is mounted on the female handle (2) and there are means to prevent turning of the bolt (3) with respect to the female handle (2), and means to prevent axial movement of the bolt (3) with respect to the female handle (2), characterized in that the means to prevent turning of the bolt (3) with respect to the female handle (2) consist of an eccentric spline (4) and an orifice-housing (5), combined; provided, indistinctly, one on the bolt (3) and the other on the female handle (2); thus preventing the bolt (3) from turning with respect to the female handle (2) that carries it and because the means to prevent axial movement of the bolt (3) with respect to the female handle (2) consists of a stud bolt (6) in a threaded orifice (40) of the eccentric spline (4) to prevent axial movement of the bolt (3) with respect to the female handle (2) that carries it.
