Definitions
- the present invention relates to a probe, comprising a carrier unit and a button movably connected to the carrier unit, wherein at least one contact element and at least one control element are attached to the carrier unit, wherein the contact element and the operating element are formed without interference directly interacting.
- the invention relates to a use of at least one button according to the invention for building membrane keypads or sealed short-stroke keyboards.
- a button of the type mentioned above is for example from the EP 1 916 686 A1 known.
- the contact element and the control element are a reed switch or a permanent magnet, which are protected by a membrane against dust, dirt and moisture.
- the production of this sealed probe is technically complex and costly.
- a key stroke of several millimeters is required. A key stroke of this magnitude prevents the use of the button for building membrane keypads, as when pressing the button, the elastic range of membrane keypads covering films far exceeded and the film would be destroyed.
- FR 2 623 011 A1 is a button with a permanent magnet and one or more reed switches disclosed. To switch safely, this key requires a key stroke of several millimeters. This unsealed probe is not suitable for use in dusty, dirty or humid environments.
- the EP 0 135 835 A2 discloses a membrane keypad based on conventional electrical contacts wherein corresponding contacts are formed as conductive liners embedded in foils and electrically isolated from each other.
- a key stroke of this membrane keyboard is generically in the range of a few tenths of a millimeter. Due to the extremely limited service life of the very filigree conductive coatings, the membrane keyboard is limited in the number of executable switching cycles.
- a membrane keyboard which has piezoelectric crystal elements for closing circuits. Upon actuation of the membrane keyboard, the piezoelectric crystal elements are pressurized and then form a potential difference, which can be tapped off as a voltage signal.
- a key stroke of this membrane keyboard is generically in the range of a few tenths of a micron.
- a disadvantage of this membrane keypad is that the tappable voltage signal is very weak and one downstream amplifier circuit requires what leads to significant additional costs in the production of the membrane keyboard.
- the invention is therefore based on the object to provide a button of the type mentioned, which is characterized by safe switching behavior, low wear, low Tastenhub and cost-effective production.
- the button to be specified should have a key stroke of less than 1 mm and allow several million switching cycles.
- this object is achieved by a key of the type mentioned, in which a key stroke of the key relative to the carrier unit to a switching stroke of the operating element is different relative to the contact element. Since the contact element and the control element are formed without contact directly interacting with each other, a mechanical wear of electrical contacts is excluded. Furthermore, an oxidation of electrical contacts is impossible, so that even very small electrical currents over a long period of time and / or many switching cycles away safely switchable. With great advantage, according to the invention, an additional degree of freedom is kept in the probe, which makes it possible to decouple intended or actual key strokes from the resulting switching strokes.
- a small key stroke may lead to a large switching stroke, for example in the case of membrane keyboards, which have operating and contact elements which must be designed so that they can be displaced clearly relative to one another in order to ensure clearly defined switching states.
- a large key stroke leads to a low switching stroke.
- emergency stop switches are called small design, which are operated directly by grossmotorisch operating machines or objects. Button according to the present invention fulfill this requirement with regard to the decoupling of key stroke and switching stroke and are therefore outstandingly suitable for a large number of applications.
- the probe according to the invention can be designed as a power switch, redundant power switch, changeover switch, off switch or redundant circuit breaker.
- the probe according to the invention can be designed as a power switch, redundant power switch, changeover switch, off switch or redundant circuit breaker.
- a transmission ratio of shift stroke to key stroke is greater than 1: 1, in particular equal to 4: 1, and the key stroke is less than 1 mm, in particular equal to 0.5 mm.
- a switching stroke which is sufficiently large for reliable switching can be realized.
- a sufficiently large switching stroke is absolutely necessary in order to define its switching states sufficiently accurately for a non-negligible hysteresis or temperature sensitivity of the probe, in other words to enable safe switching behavior.
- the pushbutton according to the invention is outstandingly suitable for reliably switching, in particular under harsh operating conditions, such as those encountered in commercial vehicles for construction site operation.
- the invention provides that between the key and the operating element a hub undergraduate stricture, a hub undergraduate stricture, a hub undergraduate stricture, a hub undergraduate minute, a hysteresis-free and independent of energy sources, such as those required for electrical actuators for generating switching strokes.
- the hub-translating mechanism has a single joint, in particular spring joint. Due to the minimal number of movable connections, the probe according to the invention is maximally robust against generic failure phenomena of more complex mechanisms, such as unwanted interactions between different components. If the joint is designed as a spring joint, the mechanism operates completely backlash-free and almost wear-free, since it has neither sliding nor rolling components. In the on-the-fly mechanism, the key stroke and the shift stroke describe arcuate trajectories having different radii with respect to the one joint as a common center.
- the hub-translating mechanism has four joints that form a parallel spring joint mechanism.
- the four-jointed parallel spring joint mechanism enables a key stroke with a linear trajectory.
- the initiation of the actuation force transmitted by the key to the mechanism for all possible stroke conditions is shear free, which protects the mechanism from force peaks and wear.
- the hub-translating mechanism has at least one return element, in particular a bar spring.
- This reset element causes a reset of the key after their operation in a Home position to allow re-actuation.
- a desired feel of the actuation process can be set in the pushbutton according to the invention in order, for example, to give an operator feedback of the actuation of the pushbutton.
- the stroke-translating mechanism has one or more spring joints, the reset of the key takes place due to a superposition of restoring forces of the elastic spring joints and the restoring elements.
- the return element can be formed integrally with the hub-translating mechanism or as a separate component. In the case of several restoring elements, a combination of the two described embodiments is also conceivable.
- the contact element are designed as a reed switch and the operating element as a permanent magnet.
- Reed switches do not require an amplifier circuit for their operation and are thus outstandingly suitable as self-contained components for non-contact, directly interacting switches. They outlast several million switching cycles without significantly changing their electrical contact resistance.
- a permanent magnet is the best suited as a control element. Due to their magnetic properties, in particular their magnetic hysteresis, when reed switches are actuated by means of permanent magnets, relative movements between the reed switch and the permanent magnet of greater than 1 mm are required in order to achieve well-defined switching states and thus reliable switching.
- a button according to the present invention satisfies this requirement with simultaneous key stroke less than 1 mm excellently.
- a gear ratio of 2: 1 to 4: 1 allows a process-safe Manufacture of the probe, since the reed switch used usually have a considerable manufacturing tolerance in the form of a strong scattering magnetic sensitivity and a positioning accuracy of the reed switch when installed in the probe in the range of several tenths of millimeters.
- non-contact directly interacting switches according to the invention for example Hall switch or Hall sensors are conceivable.
- the probe has a housing, wherein the housing is formed at least the contact element and the operating element completely receiving in itself.
- the housing is usually made of plastic and serves primarily to protect against mechanical effects.
- the housing has ferromagnetic elements in order to shield the magnetic switch arranged in the housing, namely the reed switch in conjunction with the permanent magnet, against electrical and / or magnetic fields, in particular static magnetic fields, and thereby ensure its switching function.
- buttons according to the present invention for building membrane keypads or sealed short-stroke keyboards. Due to the low key stroke required can be constructed from one or more buttons according to the invention with great advantage, a cost-effective membrane keyboard.
- the arranged on a circuit board buttons can by means of a plastic film, for example made of polyester or polycarbonate, covered and by pressing the plastic film at positions where under the plastic film Buttons of the buttons are pressed.
- the plastic film can be materially connected to a housing of a parent assembly, in particular glued.
- sealed short-stroke keyboards the buttons are arranged protected in a housing made of injection-molded two-component plastic with membranes as key covers.
- the flexible membrane acts as the button-protecting key covers and key rests, the latter tolerating a higher number of switching cycles when the key stroke, as proposed with great advantage according to the invention, is small.
- FIG. 1 an inventive button according to a first embodiment is shown with a hub translating parallel spring joint mechanism.
- the button essentially consists of a carrier unit 1 and one with the carrier unit 1 movably connected key 2, with which a control element 4 can be actuated.
- the operating element 4 is a permanent magnet and interacts without contact and directly with two fixedly connected to the carrier unit 1 contact elements 3, which are designed as reed switch.
- the carrier unit 1 has in Fig. 1 not shown soldering pins, by means of which the reed switches are contacted.
- a hub undergraduate emphasisder mechanism 5 is arranged, which translates a key stroke of the key 2 relative to the carrier unit 1 to a switching stroke of the operating element 4 relative to the contact elements 3.
- the key stroke is preferably limited to 0.5 mm, but the switching stroke is 2 mm, resulting in a ratio of switching stroke to key stroke of 4: 1 results.
- the permanent magnet is injected into the hub-translating mechanism 5, but may also be releasably connected thereto.
- the stroke-translating mechanism 5 has four joints 6, here spring joints, and forms a parallel spring joint mechanism, which in the in Fig. 1 shown embodiment is arranged centrally fixed on the carrier unit 1. In addition to the inherent elastic properties of the spring joints, the stroke-translating mechanism 5 has a return element 7.

Abstract
Description

- In
- In
- In
