Description

The invention relates to a filling machine for filling in particular flowable products in packing container, wherein the filling machine has a plurality of parallel conveyor lines, which are supplied packaging jackets for the preparation of the packing container and along which the packing shells or the packing containers produced therefrom are conveyed in a conveying direction and a method for conveying packing coats or packing containers produced therefrom by such a filling machine.

Filling machines for filling flowable products, in particular liquid foods, into packing containers made of cardboard composite material are known from the prior art. To build known filling machines, for example, on the EP 0 936 992 B1 as well as the DE 41 42 167 C2 pointed. The known filling machines usually have several, for example, four to six parallel conveyor lines, also called Füllstraßen, to increase productivity.

The usually parallelepipedic packaging containers are only produced in the filling machine due to the better transportability from pack grooves provided with folding grooves and glued together to form packaging sleeves.

The conveyor lines are summarized in packets, folded flat packaging coats for the preparation of the packing container from a number of conveyor lines corresponding number of magazines. In the magazines, the packing shells are arranged as a stack, usually standing upright, one behind the other. The respective front packing jacket is the magazine by means of a per se taken from known removal and Auffaltaggregates that unfolds the packing jacket to a rectangular in cross-section hose.

In the unfolded form, each packing jacket is taken over by a transport device. The transport devices convey the packing shells as well as the packing containers produced therefrom along the parallel conveying lines which each extend in a vertical plane. Along the conveyor lines, the packaging coats and the packaging containers produced therefrom are sterilized, filled and sealed. The preparation of the package bottom and thus the packing container is usually carried out immediately before filling.

In particular, transport wheels or circulating conveyor belts with pocket-shaped receptacles for the packing containers are suitable as transport devices. The stepwise rotating transport wheels have a plurality of radially outwardly extending, parallel receptacles whose distance in the axial direction of the transport wheel corresponds to the distance of the conveyor lines. Usually, the arms are formed as mandrels, which engage in the unfolded packing shells or in the packing container; One then speaks of a mandrel wheel. In another embodiment of the transport wheel, each receptacle comprises a plurality of arms or profiles which come to rest on the outside, in particular on the edges of the unfolded packing jacket or of the packing container. In this case, the receptacles form adjacent cells, into which the unfolded packing shells or packing containers can be inserted; one speaks then of a cellular wheel.

Insofar as quadratic packing containers are produced in cross-section from the flat-folded packaging shells, the flat-folded packaging shells are twice as wide as their side edges. Insofar as rectangular packing containers are produced from the flat folded packaging shells in cross section, the dimension of the flat folded packaging shells results from the sum of the wide plus the narrow side edge of the packaging shells.

Due to the dimensions of the flat folded packaging coats, the juxtaposed, the upright standing package coats receiving magazines require a relatively large width dimension of the magazine unit, from which the subsequent to the respective magazine conveyor lines extend straight to the removal of the filling machine. Due to the design, known multilane filling machines therefore have a large floor area and, as a result, a large construction volume.

The large construction volume of known filling machines causes high machine and operating costs. The accessibility for maintenance and cleaning, in particular to the medium conveyor lines is partially limited by the longitudinal sides of the filling machine. Furthermore, the cleaning and sterilization of large sterile rooms causes high costs, which result from the gas volume for the required sterile gas during the filling process and from the cleaning effort between the filling operations.

Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is to propose a filling machine with improved working method, whose manufacturing and operating costs are reduced. Furthermore, an improved method for operating a filling machine should be proposed.

The object is achieved in a filling machine of the type mentioned above in that the conveyor lines a first section and in the conveying direction behind a second Having sections in which the conveyor lines parallel to each other, wherein the distance between at least two of the conveyor lines in the first and second sections across the course of the conveyor lines is different in size, so the at least one of the two conveyor lines in the second section with lateral offset to the first section runs and that in the conveying direction before the second section, a handling device is arranged, which takes over the packing shells or packing containers from the conveyor lines in the first section and passes to the conveyor lines in the second section.

Due to the change in sections, in particular reduction of the distance between at least two of the conveyor lines, their accessibility from the longitudinal sides can be improved.

If the total width of the parallel conveyor lines is reduced by the section-wise change in distance between the conveyor lines, considerable advantages result, in particular in the sterile room of the filling machine, through a reduction of the necessary working media, such as sterile air or cleaning media.

Due to the smaller overall width machine components of the individual stations of the filling machine can be made smaller. This results not only in reduced costs for the production and operation of the filling machine, but also benefits for their reliability.

In order to obtain a different sized distance between the first and second sections of the at least two conveyor lines, at least one of the two conveyor lines extends with a lateral offset to the first section. However, both lanes in the second section may be offset laterally to the first section to change the distance between the conveyor lines.

In order to compensate for the offset required for the distance change in the conveyor line (s), the handling device is arranged in front of the second section. The handling device takes over the intermediate transport of the packing shells or packing containers between the first and second sections of the conveyance lines running parallel there in vertical planes.

In order to keep the overall volume of the filling machine as low as possible, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the distance between all conveyor lines in the first section is greater than in the second section.

According to the invention, a plurality of first and second sections can be arranged one behind the other along the conveyor lines, wherein the first section lies in the conveying direction before the second section and a handling device for the intermediate transport between the sections is provided in each case before the second section.

An advantageous working method results when the conveyor lines fed, flat folded packaging coats are folded in the first section of the conveyor lines to rectangular tubes and immediately thereafter the acquisition of the unfolded packing coats of the conveyor lines in the first section and their transfer to the conveyor lines in the second section by means of the handling device, wherein the distance between all conveyor lines in the first section is greater than in the second section.

From the means of transport are the unfolded packing coats or the beginning of the second section conveyed therefrom produced packaging container at a reduced distance between all conveyor lines through the sterile room, where the packing containers are filled under sterile conditions and then sealed.

At the outlet of the sterile room, it may make sense to remove the products from the filling machine to increase the distance between the conveyor lines again. At the end of the second section of the conveyor lines and outlet of the sterile room is then another handling device.

A compact, matched to the clocked operation of the transport devices of filling machines handling device is characterized in that the handling device each having a conveyor line associated holder for the packing shells or packing container through which the packing shells or packing containers are movable in the conveying direction and wherein the the brackets associated with the lateral offset conveyor lines are slidably guided transversely to the course of the conveyor lines between a first and a second position, the holder being in the first position in extension of the course of the conveyor line in the first section and in the second position in extension of Course of the conveyor line is located in the second section.

The mounts associated with each conveyor line do not interrupt the transport path for the unfolded packing shells or the packing containers made therefrom and at the same time carry the packing sheaths as received from the conveyor lines in the first section, through the holders, and against the conveyor lines in the conveyor belt second section will be passed.

The transversely guided to the course of the conveyor lines mounts do not require any significant extension of the conveyor lines that extend from the magazines for the packaging coats to the removal of the filled packing containers.

In order to ensure short cycle times, during the transport of the packing shells or packing containers by the carrier, the holders of the handling device are preferably moved by means of a linkage synchronously from the first to the second position and vice versa. For actuating the linkage whose ends are connected, for example articulated with the arms of a two-armed pivot lever.

A handling device with holders displaceably guided transversely to the path of the conveyor lines can preferably be integrated into the conveyor lines if a first transport wheel is arranged in the first section of the conveyor lines, and in the second section of the conveyor lines a second transport wheel for conveying the packing shells or packing containers is arranged, wherein the arranged in the conveying direction in front of the handling device transport wheel has a plurality of radially outwardly extending, parallel receptacles, the distance in the axial direction of the transport wheel corresponds to the distance of the conveyor lines in the first section and in the conveying direction behind the handling device second transport several more radially has externally extending, parallel recordings whose distance in the axial direction of the transport wheel corresponds to the distance of the conveyor lines in the second section. The advantage of the transport wheels is that their recordings are alignable to the brackets of the handling device and at the same time assume a leadership function when in the first position of the brackets effective first push elements the packing shells or packing container of the on the Strip holders aligned first recordings and insert into the brackets or push in the second position of the brackets effective thrust elements the packing shells or packing containers from the brackets in the direction of the holders on the second receptacles of the second transport wheel.

The first and second push elements, which are used alternately in the conveying cycle of the filling machine, can be synchronized in a simple manner by a common drive.

The FIGS. 1a, 1b partially show a filling machine (1) for filling liquid food in packing container (2), wherein the filling machine (1) has four parallel conveyor lines (3a-d), which flat-folded packing shells (4) for producing the packing container (2) from four magazines (5) are supplied. The packing shells (4) and the packing containers (2) subsequently produced therefrom are transported in a common conveying direction (6) along the conveying lines (3a-d) with different transporting means from the magazines (5) for transporting away the goods for the sake of clarity Packing container (2) conveyed at the output of the filling machine.

At the front end of each magazine (5) in the conveying direction (6), a removal and Auffaltaggregat (18) for the flat folded packaging shells (4) is arranged, by means of which the packaging jackets (4) from the magazine (5) and the conveyor lines ( 3a-d) are supplied.

All conveying lines (3a-d) have a first section of the same length (7) and a second section (8) behind them in the conveying direction (6). The distance (9) between the conveyor lines (3a-d) in the first section (7) transversely to the course of the conveyor lines (3a-d) is greater than the distance (10) transverse to the course of the conveyor lines (3a-3d) in the second Section (8). As in particular from the top view in FIG FIG. 1b Recognizable run in the illustrated embodiment, all conveyor lines (3a-d) with lateral offset (12) to the first section (7). Between the first and second sections (7, 8) of the conveyor lines (3a-d), a handling device (11) is arranged.

The filling machine (1) has in the first section (7) a first transport wheel (13) for conveying the unfolded packing shells (4) and in the conveying direction (6) behind the handling device (11) a second transport wheel (14). The axes of rotation of both transport wheels (13, 14) extend transversely to the conveyor lines (3a-d). The first transport wheel (13) is designed as a so-called cellular wheel, which has a plurality of radially outwardly extending first receptacles (15), each of which is formed by two profiled bars, which can be brought to bear against diagonally opposite longitudinal edges of a folded-up package jacket (4). For example, the rods are designed as angle profiles, as is the case FIG. 2a is recognizable. About the circumference of the first transport wheel (13) offset by 90 degrees four rows of parallel receptacles (15) are arranged. The second transport wheel (14) differs from the first transport wheel (13) in that the second receptacles (16) are formed as mandrels, over which the unfolded packing shells (4) are slipped. Both transport wheels (13, 14) are rotated step by step by a drive, not shown, by 90 degrees about the horizontal and transverse to the conveyor lines (3a - d) extending axes of rotation of the transport wheels (13, 14).

The distance of the first receptacles (15) of the first transport wheel (13) corresponds to the distance (9) of the conveyor lines (3a-d) in the first section (7), while the smaller distance of the second receptacles (16) of the second transport wheel (14). corresponds to the distance (10) of the conveyor lines (3a-d) in the second section (8).

A device for producing the package bottom is arranged on the circumference of the second transport wheel (14) designed as a mandrel wheel. After production of the package bottom, the second transport wheel (14) transfers the packing container (2) to a revolving conveyor belt (17), which does not show it in more detail, and conveys the packing containers through a sterile space (not shown) until they are transported away at the outlet of the filling machine. In order to ensure an exact positioning of the packing container (2) on the conveyor belt (17), this usually has upwardly expanding pocket-shaped receptacles for the packing container (2), so that they at a constant distance (10) both transversely and longitudinally to the conveying direction (6) are further promoted gradually by the filling machine (1).

The filling machine according to the invention operates as follows:
  • The flat-folded packing shells (4) are fed in a known manner the juxtaposed magazines (5) in a vertical position. For clarity, not shown holding elements of the magazines (5) keep the flat-folded packing shells in the in the Figures 1 - 5 illustrated, ordered stack. To remove the flat-folded packing sheaths (4) from the magazine (5) suck absorber (19) of the removal and Auffaltaggregates (18) centrally on one of the two front surfaces of the packing jacket (4) and pull the packing jacket individually out of the stack , The holding elements also hold the front surface of the packing jacket (4), which is not covered by the suckers, in the conveying direction (6) during the movement of the removal and unfolding unit (18), whereby the packing casing (4) is unfolded until it becomes square in the exemplary embodiment Cross section reached. The unfolded packing shells (4) are now pushed from below into the first receptacles (15) of the first transport wheel (13), which rotates clockwise. Now, if all the first receptacles (15) are loaded one after the other with a unfolded packing jacket (4), each packing jacket (4) held on the right horizontal receptacle (15) in the image is located in the area of the handling device (11) FIGS. 2a, 2b is explained in more detail:
  • The handling device (11) consists of a pair of belts (21) driven on the two outer longitudinal sides of the handling device (11) by means of a drive wheel (20), on which two cross members (22, 23) transverse to the conveying direction (6) and the conveyor lines (3a d) are bridged.

On the first traverse (22), which is located at the lower run (24) of the pair of belts (21), corresponding to the number of conveyor lines (3a-d) four push elements (25) are mounted, which by moving the belt pair (21) in Direction of the arrow (26) with stripping hooks arranged on the push elements (25) stripping the unfolded packing shells (4) from the first receptacles (15) of the transport wheel (13) and downstream in the conveying direction (6) mounts (27) for receiving the packing shells ( 4).

Out FIG. 3a It can be seen that while the crosshead (22) is moved with the pushers (25) in the direction of the arrow (26), at the same time the crossbar (23) which is attached to the upper run (28) of the belt pair (21), so is moved far to the left against the direction of the arrow (26), that on this traverse (23) corresponding to the number of conveyor lines (3a-d) arranged thrust elements (29) with their slide lugs (30) behind the end faces of the in the brackets (27) enter previously inserted packing sheaths (4).

The brackets (27) are located in the Figures 2 . 3 in a first position in extension of the course of the conveyor lines (3a-d) in the first section (7). In this position of the holders (27), the first pushers (25) are effective, as in particular FIG. 3a is recognizable.

Dazu wird mittels eines nicht dargestellten Antriebs einAfter the packing shells (4) have been pushed completely into the holders (27), the packing sheaths (4) are moved toward one another by moving the holders (27) to a second position extending the course of the conveying lines (3a-d) in the second section (8). For this purpose, the brackets (27) are moved on their guides (31) to the machine center of the filling machine (1). This is done by means of a drive, not shown

Double pivot lever (32) pivoted clockwise about a pivot point (34), which are moved towards each other via rods (33) between the arms of the double pivot lever (32) and the individual brackets (27). On each arm of the double pivot lever are each two rods (33) hinged, wherein the hinged at the outer ends of the arms rods (33) has a larger lateral offset (12) of the two outer brackets (27), the conveyor lines (3a and 3d ), as the further inwardly on the double pivot lever (32) hinged rods (33), the two central, the conveyor lines (3b and 3c) associated with holders (27) to move towards each other.

By the brackets in this way in the in the FIGS. 4 and 5 shown second position in extension of the course of the conveyor lines in the second section (8) are brought, reach the rear end in the conveying direction of the packing shells (4) in the area of action of the slide lugs (30) of the pushers (29), as in particular FIG. 4a is recognizable.

By reversing the direction of movement of the belt pair (21) against the symbolized by the arrow (26) direction, the packing shells (4) by means of the pushers (29) with their slide lugs (30) from the brackets (27) in the direction of the conveyor lines ( 3a-d) in the second section (8) pushed out, as in particular FIG. 5 a is recognizable. In doing so, the in FIG. 1a illustrated in the left horizontal position thorns of the second transport wheel (14) the packing sheaths (4). In this pushing out of the packing shells (4) from the brackets (27) and the simultaneous transfer to the downstream transport wheel (14), the first pushers (25) on the lower run (24) migrate back into the in FIGS. 2a and 5 ä starting position to the next packing shells (4) of the first recordings (15) of the meantime by 90 Degrade in a clockwise direction further switched first transport wheel (13). In tune with this movement, the double pivot lever (32) pivots counterclockwise back to the first position in which the holders (27) are in extension of the course of the conveyor lines (3a-d) in the first section (7) ( Figures 2 . 3 ).

Bezugszeichenliste Nr.
