Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device and a method for sealing between the wall and floor of the insulation in rooms.
  • Such rooms are on the wall and floor and depending on the application also on the ceiling equipped with insulation to minimize heat exchange with the environment. It should penetrate as little heat in the space in question and penetrate as little as possible to the outside. Preferably, the rooms are lockable to the environment. In actively cooled rooms should also be kept as low as possible by the isolation of the energy consumption associated with the cooling.
  • Such spaces may be part of buildings or vehicles. In particular, these may be cold rooms, production rooms, processing rooms or storage rooms.
  • Insulation panels or wall panels are often provided to insulate the walls of said rooms, which are dimensionally stable.
  • the wall panels may themselves form an insulating wall or insulate and clad an existing wall of a building or vehicle.
  • Wall panels are, for example, sandwiched, wherein an insulating material between two dimensionally stable plates or layers is arranged.
  • the floor of the room is usually equipped with a floor insulation and a floor covering.
  • a floor of a room equipped with a wall insulation and a floor and floor covering there is often the problem that moisture and liquid can penetrate into spaces between the wall insulation and the insulating floor covering.
  • a base connection or base profile in the region of the transition between wall insulation and floor covering this at least in part does not have the necessary sealing in order to prevent the penetration of moisture.
  • Between the floor of the room and existing in the room floor insulation and flooring is usually arranged a moisture barrier. Moisture or liquid penetrating from above into the floor covering can therefore only penetrate until the moisture barrier. There, the moisture is collected and discharged via a suitable drainage.
  • the US 2002/014046 A1 discloses a corner seal for buildings.
  • the corner seal comprises a corner profile adapted to an inner or outer corner of a building with a water-repellent cover layer and a hollow body filled with sealant.
  • the corner profile is equipped with two side wings, which are located at the two corner parts of the building abut and which are interconnected by a central part.
  • the hollow body has a shell which can be destroyed during installation of the corner seal. When pressing the corner profile to a corner of a building, the shell is destroyed, so that the sealant is released and forms a hardening sealing layer under the corner profile.
  • the elastic middle part of the corner profile is arranged freely pointing in the joint.
  • a film, an intermediate layer and a support are arranged from bottom to top.
  • the film is pulled vertically upwards in a free-cut base portion of the wall.
  • One of the two side wings of the corner profile is arranged with a sealing layer on the film, which is pulled in the base portion of the wall upwards.
  • the other side wing of the corner profile is fixed to the intermediate layer on the floor.
  • the DE 298 08 932 U1 discloses a stretchable and permanently deformable, plasterable cover material for covering a gap in adjacent components or components.
  • the cover material has a sealing layer which is applied to a stretchable carrier element.
  • the carrier element is designed as a stretchable fabric or nonwoven layer having a surface for receiving hardening material.
  • the sealing layer is made of a stretchable pressure-sensitive adhesive material whose adhesive power is such as to avoid creep of the covering material in a stretched and surface-applied condition.
  • the cover material used in a roof construction for closing the gap between an edge portion of a wind and vapor barrier film and a surface portion of a masonry of the roof structure.
  • the cover material is present as a strip material. Half a width of the strip material is glued to the wind and vapor barrier film and on the masonry. A seal between wall and floor is in the DE 298 08 932 U1 not revealed.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a device and a method for sealing wall and floor in rooms in which the penetration of moisture behind or under a moisture barrier, which is arranged on or in the floor covering, is prevented.
  • the device according to the invention is characterized in that at least one base element is arranged between the insulating wall panel and the floor, wherein the base element is thinner than the wall panel.
  • the wall panel is formed as a plate and has as this a predetermined thickness.
  • the thickness of the base member is determined in parallel to the thickness of the wall panel when base member and wall panel are installed in the field. The thickness is determined when installed in the horizontal direction.
  • the upwardly facing side of the base element is completely covered by the wall panel. Due to the different thickness of the wall panel and the base element, the wall panel projects laterally beyond the base element.
  • the base element is set back relative to the wall element.
  • a moisture barrier arranged indirectly or directly on the floor extends upwards with an edge section along the base element. Above the moisture barrier, a floor covering is arranged.
  • the base element is elongated. It extends in the horizontal direction at the bottom over the entire width of the wall panels or wall panels.
  • the wall panel (s) either form themselves a wall, in particular a partition wall in the room, or are arranged on an already existing wall of the room.
  • the wall panel preferably extends from the floor to the ceiling.
  • the lower end of the wall panel rests on the base element or is integrally formed therewith.
  • the base element can be formed integrally with the wall element or form a separate component to be connected to the wall panel.
  • wall panel and base element form a solid wall panel-base unit, which is completely installed as such at the site.
  • the base element can be formed, for example, by removing the solid plate or layer over the entire width of the wall panel on an insulating wall plate at a downwardly pointing end on one or both sides. This creates a recess.
  • a part of the insulating material of the wall plate may also be removed.
  • wall panel and base element are two separate components, then these can also be connected to one another only at the place of use.
  • the base element can be arranged on the floor and then the wall panel can be arranged on the base element.
  • the base element can be arranged directly on the floor or on a vapor barrier arranged on the floor, a bituminous sheet and / or a floor connection angle.
  • a floor insulation preferably arranged on the floor extends up to the base element and is arranged with its vertically extending end side adjacent to the base element.
  • the moisture barrier is laid flat on the floor or floor insulation placed on the floor so that it covers the floor or floor insulation upwards.
  • the adjacent to the base element edge portion of the moisture barrier is pulled up, so that the edge portion at least partially nearly vertical is aligned. In this case, the upwardly expiring edge portion of the moisture barrier ends at the base element. Due to the dimensioning of the base member, the upper end of the edge portion of the moisture barrier may be located above the level formed by the surface of the floor covering. This prevents moisture collecting on the flooring from getting behind or under the moisture barrier.
  • the height of the base member measured in the vertical direction is greater than the sum of the thickness of the moisture barrier and the thickness of the flooring disposed on the moisture barrier.
  • the thickness of the moisture barrier and the thickness of the floor covering are determined in the vertical direction parallel to the height of the base element.
  • the floor covering may have, for example, a screed and arranged on this tile.
  • the distance at which the wall panel projects laterally beyond the base element above the base element is greater in the horizontal direction than the thickness of the moisture barrier. The distance in the horizontal direction is measured. Since the wall panel projects beyond the base element by more than the thickness of the moisture barrier, the edge portion of the moisture barrier which extends upwards along the base element and extends at least in sections in the vertical direction is completely accommodated along the base element and projects upwards through the base element Covered wall panel. This prevents moisture or liquid collecting on the wall panel from penetrating from behind the moisture barrier.
  • wall is meant at this point and hereinafter a wall predetermined by the space or a wall formed by a wall panel in the space, for example a partition wall.
  • ground is meant at this point and in the following a ground given by the space.
