  • the proper rotation of the spray arm thus can be reliably determined, basically by counting the peaks of the signal received from the vibration sensor and comparing the peak count with an expected value which is a design parameter for the specific dishwasher. While there may be situations wherein a signal peak is generated which is not directly associated to a rotation of the spray arm but which may be caused for example by an incidental impact of water jets that are reflected from articles within the dishwasher tub onto which a jet of cleaning liquid is sprayed, the predetermined target range for the count value should include some tolerance range which in the example referred to above wherein the spray arm rotates at a speed of 38 rpm may be selected as ⁇ 6 peak counts when measuring for a time period of one minute.
  • the target range for the count value could be selected for example as the standard rotational speed ⁇ 2 rpm, wherein it is determined that the spray arm correctly rotates if the count value falls within such target range.
  • the measuring cycle is repeated or a further more detailed evaluation routine is conducted. While a similar safety range could be provided at the lower end of the target range it of course is also possible to provide such a safety range in which the evaluation is repeated or altered only at one end of the target range.

Claims (16)

  1. Procédé pour détecter la rotation d'un bras gicleur de lave-vaisselle, le procédé consistant à :
    (a) détecter des vibrations produites au cours du fonctionnement du lave-vaisselle ;
    (b) comparer le niveau des vibrations détectées à un seuil prédéterminé, et augmenter une valeur de comptage suivant si le niveau des vibrations détectées dépasse ou non le seuil prédéterminé ;
    (c) comparer la valeur de comptage obtenue pour une période de temps prédéterminée à une plage cible prédéterminée ; et
    (d) déterminer la perturbation dans la rotation du bras gicleur, lorsque la valeur de comptage est en dehors de la plage cible prédéterminée.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, dans lequel à l'étape (b) la valeur de comptage est augmentée uniquement si le niveau des vibrations détectées dépasse le seuil prédéterminé pendant une durée prédéterminée.
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel l'étape (b) consiste en outre, suite à l'augmentation de la valeur de comptage, à attendre pendant une période d'échantillonnage prédéterminée et ensuite à augmenter davantage la valeur de comptage si le niveau des vibrations détectées dépasse le seuil prédéterminé.
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 3, dans lequel la période d'échantillonnage est déterminée sur la base d'une fréquence cible de rotation du bras gicleur.
  5. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel à l'étape (d) on détermine que le bras gicleur tourne à une vitesse qui est différente de la vitesse de conception, lorsque la valeur de comptage se trouve à l'intérieur d'une plage prédéterminée qui est supérieure ou inférieure à la plage cible prédéterminée.
  6. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel à l'étape (a) un signal en tension fourni par un capteur de vibration est converti en un signal logique.
  7. Procédé selon la revendication 6, dans lequel à l'étape (a) le signal en tension est converti en un signal logique transistor-transistor (TTL).
  8. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, consistant en outre à déterminer une valeur racine carrée moyenne (RMS) à partir d'une pluralité de mesures effectuées à l'étape (a) et en utilisant la valeur racine carrée moyenne (RMS) ainsi obtenue à l'étape (b) comme niveau des vibrations détectées.
  9. Lave-vaisselle (10) comprenant une cuve de lavage (12) destinée à recevoir des articles à nettoyer, au moins un bras gicleur (16) disposé à l'intérieur de la cuve de lavage destiné à diriger un fluide de lavage vers les articles à nettoyer, et un capteur de vibration (24) destiné à détecter des vibrations produites au cours du fonctionnement du lave-vaisselle, caractérisé en ce que le lave-vaisselle (10) comprend en outre un moyen destiné à détecter la rotation du bras gicleur (16), le moyen étant conçu pour effectuer le procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes.
  10. Lave-vaisselle selon la revendication 9, dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) comprend un capteur piézoélectrique de choc.
  11. Lave-vaisselle selon la revendication 9 ou 10, dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) est conçu pour produire un signal de sortie en tension qui est sensiblement proportionnel à l'accélération du capteur provoqué par une vibration mécanique du capteur.
  12. Lave-vaisselle selon l'une quelconque des revendications 9 à 11, dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) est attaché au côté extérieur de la cuve (12).
  13. Lave-vaisselle selon la revendication 12, dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) est attaché à une paroi latérale (26) de la cuve (12).
  14. Lave-vaisselle selon la revendication 13, dans lequel le bras gicleur (16) comprend au moins une buse d'entraînement (20) destinée à émettre un jet d'eau à un angle par rapport à l'axe (22) de rotation du bras gicleur, et dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) est attaché à une paroi latérale (26) de la cuve (10) environ au niveau où le jet d'eau provenant de la buse d'entraînement touche la paroi latérale de la cuve.
  15. Lave-vaisselle selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 14, dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) est attaché au côté extérieur de la cuve (12) par un raccord sensiblement rigide.
  16. Lave-vaisselle selon la revendication 15, dans lequel le capteur de vibration (24) est collé directement sur le côté extérieur de la cuve (12).
