Claims (14)
- Electric chain actuator (8) for an opening element (2) such as an articulated gate leaf, the actuator comprising:- an electric motor (86) which drives a pinion (96),- a carriage (82) which is movable along a predetermined path (D1) between a first position and a second position,- a link element between the carriage (82) and the opening element,- an open chain (84) which is in engagement with the pinion and is articulated on the carriage,- a core (88) which defines at least one elongate guiding housing (L1) for the chain and the carriage,characterised in that the core is formed by a plate (88), in that the guiding housing (L1) is formed by a cutting in the thickness of the plate and extends completely through the plate, between its lateral faces (883, 884), in that the cross-section of the housing (L1) is defined between two edges (101, 102) which form rails and are to engage between the bars of the links of the chain (84), and in that the carriage has, in cross-section perpendicular to its sliding direction in the housing, a shape complementary to the edges (101, 102) of the housing.

- Actuator according to claim 8, characterised in that the two housings (L1, L2) are curved in the plane perpendicular to the axis (Y96) of rotation of the pinion (96).
- Actuator according to claim 9, characterised in that the centres of curvature (C1, C2) of the two housings (L1, L2) are arranged, in the plane perpendicular to the axis (Y96) of rotation of the pinion (96), on the same side relative to the housings.
- Actuator according to either claim 9 or claim 10, characterised in that the first and second housings (L1, L2) are not parallel in the plane perpendicular to the axis (Y96) of rotation of the pinion (96).
- Actuator according to any one of claims 9 to 11, characterised in that it comprises a link rod (80) between the carriage (82) and an opening element (2) to be manoeuvred, and in that the rod is curved, in the plane perpendicular to the axis (Y96) of rotation of the pinion (96).
- Actuator according to claim 12, characterised in that, in the deployed configuration of the actuator (8), the centre line (F80) of the rod (80) is, in the vicinity of an end (802) by which it is capable of being articulated (X10) on a leaf (2), oriented to form, relative to a straight line (Δ1) contained in the plane perpendicular to the axis (Y96) of rotation of the pinion (96) and connecting the axes of articulation (X8, X10) of the actuator on a post (4) and on the leaf, a non-zero angle (α), preferably greater than 10°, yet more preferably greater than 20°.
- Method for mounting a gate (P) comprising at least one post (4, 4'), a leaf (2, 2') articulated on the post, and an actuator (8, 8') for manoeuvring the leaf relative to the post, characterised in that an actuator (8, 8') according to any one of the preceding claims is used after the electric motor (86) of the actuator has been mounted along one of the lateral faces (883, 884) of the plate (88) selected as a function of the value (d1, d2) of a distance between an axis of articulation (X2) of the leaf (2, 2') on the post (4, 4') and an axis of articulation (X8) of the actuator on a support (6).
