  • a problem lies in the secure handling of different bars and / or different sets (such as sets of railings that include several bars already assembled in them) of the scaffold to be installed on site. It is desirable that the erection and dismantling of the scaffolding takes place under conditions of safety optimized for an operator performing these operations, and in particular it is desirable to avoid the fall of the bars, for example rails, and / or different sets when handling them.

Description

The invention relates to an attachment instrument to an elongated element, particularly of smooth type, for a scaffolding device, in particular for the secure mounting of a scaffold.

Scaffolding means scaffolding in the traditional sense of the term as a step, a stepladder, a walkway, a platform, a shelf ladder, or the like.

The scaffolding devices are structures composed of elongated elements arranged in bar or similar elongated elements. The scaffoldings are mounted on site by assembling the bars together, to allow an operator to access a high position of the building, in particular facade. The scaffolding is organized to allow assembly and disassembly on site as easily and as quickly as possible.

The bars constituting the scaffolding are, for example, uprights, steps of intercrossing the uprights with each other, bracing bars, smooth and / or under-slats, reinforcement and / or support bars, or bars. Stabilization of the scaffolding on the ground. The bars come from sections of indifferently circular or polygonal section, square or rectangular in particular. The bars are assembled together by fasteners organized to be jointly engaged on two bars to assemble. At least one end of a bar is commonly equipped with a fastener for engagement to a bar next to the scaffold. This element may in particular have a general hook shape.

The document FR 2 922 929 describes an example of a bar having two fixing elements at its respective ends. Each attachment member has a fixed hook portion and a movable hook portion. One of the movable hooks has an orifice in which a rod secured to a diagonal bar can be introduced. In other words, the operator can unlock this end of the bar by inserting the bar into this opening, raising this part of the movable hook and dragging the bar so as to remove it from the bar. scaffolding device. Nevertheless, the manipulation of the rail by means of the diagonal bar is relatively delicate, in particular, the operator must handle the diagonal bar with great care so as to prevent the rail from escaping.

There are also poles having at their end a C-shaped open part that can support a rail without attaching the rail to this open C-shaped part so that the rail can escape and fall on the operator. (cf. DE 102007 011 716 A1 ).

A problem lies in the secure handling of different bars and / or different sets (such as sets of railings that include several bars already assembled in them) of the scaffold to be installed on site. It is desirable that the erection and dismantling of the scaffolding takes place under conditions of safety optimized for an operator performing these operations, and in particular it is desirable to avoid the fall of the bars, for example rails, and / or different sets when handling them.

For example, it is necessary to avoid that an operator evolves on a scaffolding on a plateau without guardrails.

There is a need for assembly and / or disassembly of the scaffold conciliating security and speed of installation.

There is provided an instrument for gripping an elongated element of a scaffolding device, for example a scaffold bar, particularly of smooth type, this instrument comprising:
  • a handle extending in a longitudinal direction,
  • a movable engagement tool between an open position allowing the introduction or extraction of said elongated member and a closed position in which the tool is adapted to receive and rigidly hold the elongate member.

Such an instrument thus makes it possible to avoid a fall of the elongated element during its manipulation. In particular, the gripping tool, for example arranged in clamp, may be shaped to rigidly hold the elongated element in its closed position. In other words, in its closed position, the gripping tool does not allow movement of the elongated element relative to the instrument.

The gripping tool can be movable between the open position for the introduction or extraction of said elongated member and the closed position, in which the tool is adapted to receive and hold the elongated element, for handling of this elongated element.

Advantageously and in a nonlimiting manner, the gripping instrument is arranged so that a movement of the handle causes the gripping tool to move between its closed and open positions. This movement of the handle is for example a movement of rotation, translation or any other combination of movements. A very simple control of the opening / closing of the tool, for example arranged in clamp, can thus be obtained, facilitating the manipulation of the instrument by an operator.

The gripping instrument is arranged so that a movement of the handle, for example a rotation of the handle around the longitudinal direction, causes the displacement of at least one of the support members from an open position of the clamp to a closing position of the clamp and / or vice versa.

Thus, this instrument is arranged to allow the transition from the closed position to the open position, and / or vice versa, by moving the handle. This movement can be done by a technician having grasped a part of the handle remote from the tool in clamp, for example a gripping end of the handle. It is therefore possible to easily manipulate a bar in height, using this instrument, while remaining relatively far from the bar, and therefore safe, for example on the ground or on a lower platform.

Advantageously and in a nonlimiting manner, the gripping instrument can be arranged so that a rotation of the handle causes the displacement of at least one of the support members.

Advantageously and without limitation, the second support member may be able to be driven in displacement between the open position and the closed position by a rotation of the handle about its longitudinal axis. So, to grab or divest the bar, the person turns the handle on itself. Even if the handle is relatively long, it avoids the risk of shocks related to pivoting about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle.

Alternatively, one could predict that it is a translational movement of the handle, for example along its longitudinal axis, which allows, once the organs placed on either side of the bar, to move at least one of these bodies until the two members are in the closed position. One could for example provide a clipping mechanism.

Alternatively, it could also be provided that the displacement of the handle causing the passage from the open position to the closed position and / or vice versa is a rotational movement about an axis substantially parallel to the axis of the elongate member. .

For example, the instrument may comprise a handle ending in a locking cam, and a U-shaped support member, pivotally mounted on the cam. The cam portion may for example be of the eccentric roller type. To grasp the elongated element, the operator begins by placing the instrument so that the cam portion and the support member are on either side of the elongated element, on a section thereof. Then the operator rotates the pole about the axis of rotation of the cam which is then substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the elongated element to be grasped, for example, by 30 ° so as to drive the cam portion into position. rotation. The support member is arranged so that during the rotation, the support member is however blocked by the elongate member. The cam portion and the support member are pivoted relative to each other. The instrument, and in particular the cam part, are arranged so that after this rotation of 30 ° the cam part comes to exert a pressure against the elongated element. The elongated element being thus taken, the operator can now move it by means of this instrument. To release the elongated element, the operator performs a reverse rotation movement, for example 30 °, about an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the elongated element.

Advantageously and without limitation, the first support member may be pivotally mounted on the handle and be provided with rotation locking means relative to the second support member. The second support member may be mounted integral with the sleeve and the instrument can be arranged so that a rotation of the handle allows to move the second support member. The instrument can thus have a relatively simple design.

Alternatively, the instrument can be arranged so that the displacement of the handle causes the displacement of the two support members, one towards the other for example.

For example, the instrument may be arranged in a pole, comprising a handle extending between a proximal end of a grip and a distal working end. The distal end is provided with a gripping tool arranged gripping gripper of a grab bar. The clamp combines two antagonistic support members, which are mounted on the handle pivotally relative to each other along a pivot axis oriented parallel to a general axis of extension of the handle. Ideally, the pivot axis and the general axis of extension of the handle are coaxial. The support members are operable in relative pivoting between an open position of the clamp and a closed position of the clamp. A first support member is pivotally mounted on the handle overhanging a second support member integral with the handle. The first support member is provided with locking means in rotation relative to the second support member.

Advantageously and in a nonlimiting manner, the support members may be arranged so as to, in the closed position, exert on the bar a force substantially in the longitudinal direction of the handle. In other words, to enter a bar, the user must first place the instrument so that the bar comes to interpose between one of the support members and the grip end of the handle.

The invention is in no way limited by this embodiment. One could for example provide that the support members are arranged to exert a force substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the handle. A user wishing to enter a bar in height would therefore from below place the support members to the left and right of the bar, then actuate the handle to bring closer these support members.

Advantageously and non-limitatively, the second support member may have a cam-shaped portion, so that a pivoting of this support member in a portion of a turn, by example a quarter turn, come to place this second body in support against the bar to grasp.

The invention is in no way limited by a particular form. For example, the instrument may comprise a thread secured to the first support member and cooperating with a thread of the second support member. A person rotating the sleeve about its longitudinal axis can thus bring the second support member of the first support member, by screwing, until the two members are supported on either side of the closed off.

For example, when the second support member has a cam portion, in the open position of the clamp, the support members may be radially offset relative to each other with respect to the axis of pivot. In the closed position of the clamp, the support members may be in remote superposition in an orientation corresponding to the general axis of extension of the handle. The relative position in superposition of the support members gives them the ability to take antagonistic support against an element to be interposed between them, along the axis of general extension of the handle.

Advantageously, the locking means of the first support member may be arranged to bear against the bar when the handle is actuated in rotation. Maneuvering the clamp from one to the other of the open position and the closed position, can be induced from a pivotal retention of the first support member by the locking means that it comprises. The implementation of the locking means is spontaneously induced from a bearing of the first support member on any element outside the handle, and more particularly on the bar to be taken by means of the instrument.

For example, in the open position of the clamp, the access offered to the first support member by lateral retraction of the second support member allows an operator manipulating the handle to approach the first support member to a bar to manipulate, without the second support member obstructing this approach. The first support member being engaged on the bar, the locking means pivotally immobilize the first support member. Such locking means are in particular means for holding lateral supports remote from the first support member against the bar, in a direction transverse to the axis of general extension of the handle. A pivoting of the handle on itself exerted by an operator from its proximal end causes a corresponding pivoting of the second support member relative to the first support member.

The faculty offered to selectively release said access in the open position of the clamp, or conversely close said access in the closed position of the clamp, makes it possible to operate the first support member for other gripping functions without that the second support member does not constitute an inconvenience. For example, the first support member, advantageously arranged curved claw or similar engagement member, allows its operation for the operation of a tilting member of the scaffold. Such a maneuver is in particular a pulling maneuver applied against an element to be manipulated from the seizure of this element by the first support member and a traction operated on the handle from its proximal end.

Such a member to be operated by the first support member may for example be formed of a fastening hook that includes the scaffolding and which is pivotally mounted on an element of this scaffold, such as an end of a bar.

The curved conformation of the claw is advantageously exploited not only to form the locking means, but also to form a traction member of any element of the scaffold.

The instrument allows an operator to remotely manipulate a bar that includes a scaffold, being in a secure station on the ground or on a secure platform of the scaffold. The instrument makes it possible, in particular, to grasp and manipulate at a distance a rail that includes a railing, or even a guardrail, via a rail that it comprises. Such remote manipulation makes it possible to secure a platform before it is used as a high circulation plan of the scaffolding, or conversely to dismantle a railing of a plateau while avoiding an operator to be stationary on this plateau.

The instrument also allows an operator to choose a safe and comfortable location for safe handling by drawn any element or organ that includes scaffolding, tilting attachment hook including.

The structure of the instrument is simple and inexpensive, and provides versatility of functions. In addition to gripping a bar by the clamp in the closed position, the first support member is in an open environment in the open position of the clamp. The first support member in the open position of the clamp is adapted to be used as a coupling member of the handle on an element of the scaffold to handle by pulling. In the open position of the clamp, the first support member is adapted to form a traction member of an element of the scaffold to handle, exploiting a corresponding pull operated on the handle from its proximal end. Such a pulling power is provided alternately and independently of an operation of the clamp that includes the instrument.

The first support member may be more particularly arranged in open cage at least to the second support member, which provides a receiving volume of a bar to be grasped by means of the instrument. The cage may extend along at least two concurrent orientations. A first orientation of extension of the cage is substantially orthogonal to the axis of general extension of the handle to form at least one support point. A second orientation of extension of the cage is substantially parallel to the general axis of extension of the handle to extend the cage in extension of the handle and place said fulcrum away from the second support member. This second orientation is also likely to be used to easily provide lateral supports radially distant from the axis of pivoting of the second support member. Such lateral supports advantageously form the said locking means.

The first support member may advantageously be formed of a claw. The claw is formed from at least one curved branch being shaped hook or similar curved member. The claw defines the interior volume of the cage adapted to receive a bar by picking.

According to a preferred embodiment, the claw comprises at least two bent branches distant to one side of the handle. The branches may advantageously each be formed from a deformed rigid wire element, in particular metal. The branches are more particularly placed at radial distance from each other with respect to the pivot axis of the first support member. The branches are arranged on either side of the axis of general extension of the handle, being aligned in a direction transverse to this axis.

In the open position of the clamp, the claw can form a picking member of the handle on any bearing surface on which traction is to be operated by means of the instrument. Such a bearing surface is for example a tilting hooking member equipping the end of a bar as mentioned above. Such a tilting member may have tabs or similar gripping members for gripping by the claw.

More specifically, the branches that comprise the claw are each shaped as a bent hook. Each branch can include:
  • a rod which is engaged on the handle extending parallel to the general axis of extension of the handle.
  • a flap which extends said rod extending orthogonally to the general axis of extension of the handle of the handle. The flap forms an antagonistic support point to the support provided by the second support member.
  • a return that extends the said flap extending parallel to the rod. The return is cooperating with at least one rod that comprises at least one of the branches, the return and the at least cooperating rod forming the locking means.

The return and the stem of each of the branches delimit the internal receiving volume of the cage, being spaced from one another radially relative to the pivot axis of the first support member, and more particularly relative to to the axis of general extension of the handle. This separation distance of the branches between them provides remote lateral support points that take respectively returns and stems from one to the other branches.

The second support member may advantageously be arranged in a drum receiving pivotally the first support member. The barrel can comprise a cleat which is radially extended towards the outside of the handle, and which provides an antagonistic support point to the support provided by the first support member.

The barrel may be adapted to be secured to the distal end of the handle by broaching and / or sealing, such as by gluing, overmolding or other similar sealing technique.

The second support member may advantageously comprise at its distal end (one or) limit stops relative to the pivoting race relative to the first support member.

For example, said abutments can be easily formed by the ends of an axial lip that includes the barrel at its distal end.

For example, the opposing stops may be advantageously formed by a base of the branch at least that includes the first support member. Such a base is in particular a connecting member of the first support member at the end of the handle. Such a base is for example formed by the base of the son from which are formed the branches making up the claw.

There is further provided a scaffold assembly comprising a scaffolding device and an instrument as described above. This set can be marketed in the disassembled state. The scaffolding device may comprise one or more bars (s), for example smooth and sub-smooth, that can be grasped by this instrument.

By "vertical" is meant the direction of the gravity vector. With reference to the figure 1 , a scaffolding comprises two pillars 1.2 braced for the rest of the scaffolding on the ground. The pillars 1,2 are each formed from an assembly between uprights 3 and 4 ladder connecting the uprights 3 of the same pillar 1,2 two to two. The pillars 1,2 are connected to each other by means of bracing bars 5, and by means of trays 6 or the like which rest at their ends on respective rungs 4 which the pillars 1 comprise, 2. The pillars 1, 2 are provided with stabilizing legs 7 to reinforce the seating that the scaffolding takes on the floor.

The trays 6 form circulation planes for an operator, and are each provided with rails 9. The rails 9 are fixed at their ends to the steps 4 of the pillars 1,2 by means of fasteners 19.

The high position of the rails 9 makes it difficult for them to be installed and / or conversely dismantled by an operator in a secure station with regard to a possible fall, the operator being on the ground or on a lower plateau level. The circulation of an operator on a tray 6 not secured by smooth 9 is to be avoided.

With reference to Figures 2 and 3 , an instrument of the type arranged in a pole has a handle 12 whose proximal end is used for gripping the pole and whose distal end is provided with a gripping tool.

The handle may have a length (along its longitudinal axis A1) of between 0.5 and 3 meters, advantageously between 1 and 2 meters, for example 1.5 meters.

L'antagonisme des dites prises d'appui est à considérer suivant une direction correspondant à un axe d'extension générale A2 du manche 12.The gripping tool is structured as a gripper 13 comprising two cooperating support members 14, 15 which, in the closed position of the gripper 13, provide opposing supports against an element to be grasped, and more particularly a bar 16 of the scaffolding. The antagonism of the said support is to be considered in a direction corresponding to an axis of general extension A2 of the handle 12.

Le premier organe d'appui 14 est monté pivotant autour d'un axe de pivot A1 coaxial à l'axe d'extension générale A2 du manche 12.A first support member 14 is pivotally mounted on the handle 12 and a second support member 15 is integral with the handle 12, via a pin 18 for example. The first support member 14 is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis A1 coaxial with the general extension axis A2 of the handle 12.

The clamp 13 is operable between a closed position illustrated on the figure 3 , and an open position illustrated on the figure 2 . In the closed position of the clamp 13, the support members 14, 15 are vis-à-vis one on the other in remote superposition in a setting orientation of the bar 16 corresponding to the axis of general extension A2 of the handle 12. In the open position, the support members 14,15 are radially offset relative to each other with respect to the general axis of extension A2 of the handle 12.

L'escamotage latéral de l'un des organes d'appui 14, 15 est à considérer au regard d'un débattement radial des organes d'appui 14, 15 l'un par rapport à l'autre par rapport à l'axe de pivot A1 du premier organe d'appui 14.The support members 14, 15 are movable relative to each other in pivoting relation to the general extension axis A2 of the handle 12, to allow lateral retraction of the first support member 14 relative to to the second support member 15 in the open position of the clamp 13, as illustrated in FIGS. figures 1 and 3 . The lateral retraction of one of the support members 14, 15 is to be considered in view of a radial displacement of the support members 14, 15 relative to each other with respect to the axis of A1 pivot of the first support member 14.

The lateral retraction of the support members 14, 15 relative to each other allows access to the first support member 14, without hindering the presence of the second support member 15 may make obstacle to this access. Such access allows the supply to the first support member 14 of an element outside the handle, bar 16 of the scaffold in particular. Such a feed is permitted substantially in a direction D parallel to the general axis of extension A2 of the handle 12, from its proximal end towards its distal end.

The first support member 14 is arranged in a receiving cage of the bar 16, being structured in claw 20 defining the interior volume of the cage. The claw 20 comprises two branches 21, 22 which are arranged at a radial distance from one another on the same side of the handle 12. The branches 21, 22 are aligned in an orientation transverse to the axis of general extension A2 of the handle 12, being distributed on either side of the pivot axis A1 of the first support member 14 corresponding to the general extension axis A2 of the handle 12 .

Each of the branches 21, 22 comprises a rod 23 which is engaged on the handle 12 at its base. The rod 23 extends in an orientation parallel to the axis of general extension A2 of the handle 12. The rod 23 is extended by a flap 24 which extends in an orientation orthogonal to the axis of general extension A2 of 12. The flap 24 forms an antagonistic support point to the support provided by the second support member 15 in the closed position of the clamp 13. The flap 24 is extended by a return 25 which extends along a parallel orientation to that of the rod 23.

De tels moyens de blocage permettent de bloquer en pivotement le premier organe d'appui 14 en prise sur la barre 16, et d'autoriser un mouvement relatif en pivotement du deuxième organe d'appui 15 entraîné en rotation par l'intermédiaire du manche 12.The returns 25 and the rods 23 that each comprise the branches 21,22 cooperate with each other to form pivoting locking means of the first support member 14 placed in engagement on the bar 16. Such locking means allow to block in pivoting the first support member 14 engaged on the bar 16, and allowing a relative pivoting movement of the second support member 15 rotated through the handle 12.

The second support member 15 is arranged in barrel 26, which is integral with the distal end of the handle 12 and which receives the first support member 14 pivotally. The barrel 26 has a cleat 27 radially extended outwardly of the handle 12. The cleat 27 has an inclined upper surface and constitutes a generally cam-shaped portion. When the shaft 26 is rotated about the axis A2, the stop 27 passes under the bar. Due to this inclined upper surface, the stop 27 comes to exert against the bar a support force of increasing importance as and pivoting, until all the portion 27 is introduced under the bar 16.

The cleat 27 provides an antagonistic point of support at the points of support provided by the flaps 24 that each of the branches 21, 22 of the claw 20 comprise. An end face 28 of the shank 26 has an axial lip 31 which radial ends of the stops 29, 30 for limiting the pivoting stroke of the first support member 14 with respect to the second support member 15.

The priority application of the instrument represented on the Figures 2 and 3 relates to the gripping and handling of a bar 16. According to this example of application and in the open position of the clamp as illustrated on FIG. figure 2 , the first support member 14 is placed in abutment against the bar 16 via the flaps 25. The second support member 15 is retracted laterally relative to the first support member 14. The support bearing of the first bearing member 14 against the bar 16, induces its blocking in pivoting through the returns 25 and rods 23 formed by the branches 21, 22. In the closed position of the clamp 13 as shown on the figure 3 , the support members 14, 15 are placed in a distance superposition along the axis of general orientation A2 of extension of the sleeve 12, from a relative rotation of the first support member 14 and the second member of support 14 which is performed by rotation of the handle 12 operated from its proximal end gripping.

The bar 16 is trapped between the first support member 14 and the second support member 15, which exert antagonistic supports against the bar 16. A floating game of the bar 16 inside the claw 20 is susceptible to be authorized, until a spontaneous locking of the bar 16 between the support members 14, 15 under the effect of its own weight. Such a floating game is allowed without escaping from the bar 16 out of the claw 20, which is retained by the returns 25. Such a floating game allows an adaptation of the clamp 13 to a gripping bars 16 of potentially different respective sections .

Le premier organe d'appui 14 constitue un organe de traction sur l'élément 19 de l'échafaudage, contre lequel le premier organe d'appui 14 est apte à prendre prise par l'intermédiaire de la griffe 20.The subsidiary application of the instrument, illustrated on figure 4 , relates to a bearing on an element 19 of the scaffolding to exert against this element 19 a traction. The element 19 of the scaffolding is for example a member for fixing a bar 16, as in the illustrated example. Such a fastener, or latch, is for example arranged as a pivotally hinged hook at one of its ends of a bar 16. The first support member 14 constitutes a traction member on the element 19 of the scaffolding, against which the first support member 14 is adapted to take hold via the claw 20.

The attachment instrument can be used for gripping and handling a smooth type bar as described above.

This instrument has a handle and a grasping tool at the distal end of the handle.

In an embodiment not shown, the proximal end of the handle may be equipped with a means for attachment to a utensil or a means of support of utensil (s), for example a bucket suitable for containing utensils. This fixing means may for example comprise a nail, a hook, or other.

By utensil, here means a tool in the common sense of the term, for example a screwdriver, a brush, a bucket adapted to contain a paint type fluid, etc.

The instrument can thus serve as a means of attaching utensil (s) to the scaffolding. The gripping tool allows the attachment to a horizontal bar of the scaffold, the smooth type or step, and the utensil or tools at the other end of the handle can thus be easily accessible to people working on the scaffolding.

In this embodiment, the handle can then have reduced dimensions, for example of the order of one meter or fifty centimeters.

People working on scaffolding can easily install and uninstall this instrument, by simply turning a quarter of a turn, and have their working tools at hand during the procedure.
