Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spinnmaschine mit zumindest einer Spinnstelle (1), wobei die Spinnstelle (1) eine Spinneinrichtung (2) mit einem Eingang (3) für ein Fasermaterial (4) und einem Ausgang (5) für das aus dem Fasermaterial (4) in der Spinneinrichtung (2) hergestellte Garn (6), eine Liefereinrichtung (7) für die Zufuhr des Fasermaterials (4) in die Spinneinrichtung (2) und eine Spulvorrichtung (8) zur Aufspulung des hergestellten Garns (6) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Spinnstelle (1) eine Garnendenabführung (9) umfasst, die wenigstens teilweise zwischen dem Ausgang (5) der Spinneinrichtung (2) und der Spulvorrichtung (8) angeordnet ist, und mit deren Hilfe ein Endabschnitt des hergestellten Garns (6) von dem restlichen Garn (6) abtrennbar und abführbar ist. Darüber hinaus wird ein Verfahren zum Entfernen eines Endabschnitts eines Garns (6) an einer Spinnstelle (1) einer Spinnmaschine vor einem anschließenden Anspinnvorgang vorgeschlagen, das sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass der Endabschnitt mit Hilfe einer als Bestandteil der Spinnstelle (1) ausgebildeten Garnendenabführung (9) erfasst, vom restlichen Garn (6) abgetrennt und anschließend aus dem Bereich der Spinnstelle (1) abgeführt wird, wobei die Garnendenabführung (9) wenigstens teilweise zwischen dem Ausgang (5) der Spinneinrichtung (2) und der Spulvorrichtung (8) angeordnet ist
