  1. The method according to any one or more of the claims 9 through 12, characterized in that the end segment of the yarn (6) to be discharged is unwound from a bobbin (20) of the winding device (8) in that at least one drive of the bobbin (20) is driven opposite the wind-up direction prevalent during the spinning process, and/or that the winding device (8) comprises a yarn traversing device (16) and a yarn lifting device (17) is associated with the yarn traversing device (16), wherein the yarn (6) is brought out of the region of effect of the yarn traversing device (16) by means of the yarn lifting device (17) at least during the unwinding of the end segment of the yarn (6) to be discharged.
