Zum Zurichten des Stanzwerkzeugs werden erfindungsgemäß die nachfolgenden Schritte abgearbeitet: in einem ersten Schritt erfolgt das Stanzen eines Probebogens in der Bogenstanzstation, wobei dieser Probebogen und damit der Zurichtbedarf beurteilt werden können. Nachfolgend erfolgt ein Fixieren der Abdeckplatte an dem Obertisch. Danach kann die Stanzplatte aus ihrer Arbeitsposition zwischen dem Obertisch und dem Untertisch in eine Zurichtposition ausgefahren werden, während die Abdeckplatte in der Bogenstanzstation an ihrer Position unterhalb des Obertischs verbleibt. Dadurch wird in vorteilhafter Weise ermöglicht, dass die Stanzplatte nach dem Ausfahren sofort zugänglich ist und ein Zurichten der Stanzplatte erfolgen kann, ohne dass, wie gemäß dem Stand der Technik üblich, noch die Abdeckplatte entfernt werden müsste. Nach erfolgtem Zurichten der Stanzplatte kann diese wieder zurück in ihre Arbeitsposition eingefahren werden und das Stanzwerkzeug ist einsatzbereit.
