Elle présente une surface plane pourvue de moyens de fixations qui est destinée à être collée ou accrochée sur le capot et une surface convexe destinée à coopérer avec le joint pour assurer l'étanchéité lors de la fermeture du capot. Elle comprend en outre un conduit interne s'étendant de part et d'autre de la pièce sous forme d'embouts. Le tuyau de distribution de liquide lave vitre est coupé en deux.
