Definitions
- the invention relates to a chair with a rocking mechanism, preferably a visitor or conference chair.
- Rocking mechanisms are known from the prior art. These are comparatively simple assemblies in the seat base of chairs, in which the backrest support is rigidly connected to the seat support, the seat or the frame of the chair. The resulting seat carrier backrest support combination is pivotable by means of the tilt mechanism to a transverse to the chair longitudinal direction pivot axis to the rear, when the user of the chair leans against the backrest.
- Such rocking mechanisms are often used instead of synchronous mechanisms in inexpensive visitor or conference chairs to realize there a simple Wippfunktion.
- Wippmechaniken are often very simple, but they are, mostly for cost reasons, not designed to save space. On the contrary, they often require a comparatively large space, so that they can be seen as a clearly visible from the outside assembly in the seat base. This results in disadvantages, both aesthetically and constructively.
- An object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a chair which has a constructive particularly simple and yet small-scale rocking mechanism.
- the chair comprises a rocking mechanism
- the rocking mechanism comprises a fixed base support with a cone seat, which is placed on a chair column of the chair by means of the cone seat, wherein the base support is pivotally connected to a mechanical upper part, which forms a housing at least partially comprehensive housing, wherein the transverse to the chair longitudinal direction extending pivot axis of the upper part of the mechanism seen in the chair longitudinal direction is arranged next to the cone seat, wherein at least one with the upper part of the mechanics on the one hand and the base support on the other hand directly or indirectly cooperating spring element is provided for returning the upper part of the mechanism from a pivoted position to a starting position and the Wippmechanik is attached to the upper part of the mechanism to a seat, seat support or frame of the chair or the Wippmechanik is integrated into the seat, seat support or frame of the chair such that d as the mechanical upper part is formed by a part of the seat, seat carrier or chair frame.
- the chair is designed such that the rocking mechanism, which consists essentially only of a few on or on a preferably plate-shaped base support arranged components, in a structural element of the seat, in particular the seat itself, the seat support or the frame of the chair can be integrated.
- the corresponding construction element on its underside a receptacle for the rocking mechanism.
- the construction element forms the upper part of the mechanism of the rocking mechanism.
- the rocking mechanism is preferably completely or almost completely sunk in the chair. Due to such an integrated design, the rocking mechanism escapes the eyes of the beholder.
- Such a tilt mechanism is particularly advantageous when only a very limited space is available.
- the upper part of the Wippmechanik can also be designed as a separate component which is attached to the underside of the seat, seat support or chair frame.
- the rocking mechanism is not embedded in the interior of the chair.
- this variant is also characterized by a particularly flat design.
- the tilt mechanism can be used in terms of the available space particularly problematic installation conditions.
- the seat of the chair is infinitely adjustable in height and has for this purpose a blockable lifting device, preferably in the form of a gas spring.
- Such gas springs comprise a pressure housing and a piston axially displaceable in the pressure housing and held on a piston rod, which subdivides a housing chamber into two working chambers filled with a compressed pressure medium and communicating with one another via a valve, the valve having a valve channel, which passes through the valve body and can be closed by means of a valve pin. With the help of guided in a valve pin guide and axially displaceably arranged valve pin, the gas spring can be triggered.
- pivot levers which are hinged to the gas spring, for actuating the valve pin.
- the present invention proposes that a pivot lever for actuating the valve pin is designed as a cooperating with at least a part of the rocking mechanism construction element.
- the axis of rotation of the pivot lever is identical to the pivot axis of the upper part of the mechanism.
- the rocking mechanism according to the invention therefore represents an extremely compact and thus space-saving combination component.
- a common bolt mounted in bearings serves to pivot the upper part of the mechanism to the base support.
- the pivot lever is designed such that it is guided on the bolt and pivotable about the bolt.
- the pivot lever advantageously has a receiving sleeve which is arranged on the bolt and placed between the two provided on the base support bearings such that the trigger of the pivot lever is always located above the valve pin.
- the pivot lever for actuating the VentilstiEtes of the gas spring cooperates with at least a portion of the Wippmechanik, which is in the embodiment described here in the part of the rocking mechanism is the bolt which carries the pivot lever and the pivot lever is pivotable about it.
- a device for blocking the Wippfunktion is additionally provided.
- the rocking function of the mechanism can be blocked or released.
- a common actuator is provided, which can be used both for the height adjustment of the chair, as well as for blocking or releasing the Wippfunktion the mechanics.
- a device for adjusting the bias of the at least one spring element is provided so that the pivotal resistance of the rocking mechanism can be adjusted user-individually.
- the rocker mechanism can be designed to be particularly flat and compact, despite the height adjustment function.
- the proposed Wippmechaniken are structurally very simple. Elaborate lever designs or the like are not required. This not only reduces the design effort and thus at the same time the risk of malfunction and failure.
- the solution according to the invention can also be used in conjunction with all conventional gas spring types. An advantage here is also compared to conventional solutions significantly reduced installation space of the triggering device for the gas spring.
- a conference chair 100 with a lockable lifting device in the form of a gas spring 200 is shown.
- the gas spring 200 is located inside the chair column 1.
- the seat 110 of the conference chair 100 is infinitely adjustable in height (arrow 10).
- the gas spring 200 in the usual manner known to those skilled in the art comprises a pressure housing 210 and a blocking device in the form of a blocking valve 220 for determining a desired lifting height.
- An arranged in a valve pin guide and sealed with a corresponding valve pin seal in the valve pin guide actuator in the form of a valve pin 3 is used to actuate the blocking valve 220 and thus to trigger the gas spring 200th Die
- a trigger mechanism 120 in the base of the chair allows pivoting of the seat and backrest to the rear.
- Rocking mechanisms 120 according to the invention are described in detail in FIGS Fig. 3 to 8 displayed. With regard to their central longitudinal plane, the rocker mechanisms 120 have a mirror-symmetrical structure with regard to the actual kinematics, cf. Fig. 6 and 8th , In that regard, in the following description always be based on both sides pairwise existing construction elements of the rocking mechanisms 120.
- the in the Fig. 3 to 8 illustrated rocking mechanisms 120 have a base support 121 which is set by means of a cone seat 122 on the upper end 2 of the chair column 1.
- the immovable base support 121 is constructed substantially plate-shaped and is partially covered by a mechanical upper part.
- the mechanics shell is either, as in the Fig. 3 to 6 illustrated, formed as a separate component 125 which can be attached by means of fastening means to the underside of a chair frame, a seat support or a seat 110 of the conference chair 1.
- the hechanikoberteil as in the Fig. 7 and 8th imaged, formed by one of the above-mentioned structural elements of the chair 100, ie a frame, a seat support or a seat, so that the elements of the rocking mechanism 120 are embedded in the mounted state in the chair element in question.
- part of the frame 140 forms the upper part of the mechanism.
- the frame 140 has one for the Recording the tilt mechanism 120 trained receiving opening 142.
- the side walls 126 of the upper part 125 and the inner walls 141 of the receiving opening 142 of the frame 140 extend in the non-pivoted starting position, in as many intermediate positions and advantageously in a maximum rearwardly pivoted position beyond the edges of the base support 121 addition, so that the Interior of the thus formed mechanism housing from the outside not accessible and thus protected from contamination. At the same time this accidental intervention of a chair user is prevented in the mechanism 120.
- the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 is connected at its rear end directly or indirectly to a backrest support (not shown). It is pivotally connected to the base support 120, so that the entire seat together with the backrest can be given away relative to the base support 121 fixedly mounted on the chair column 1 to the rear.
- d 7 is shown a starting position in which the seat or seat support occupies a substantially horizontal position.
- Fig. 5 shows the rocking mechanism 120 in a pivoted backward position.
- the position of the pivot axis 4 of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 is defined by a bolt 123 fixedly connected to the upper part of the mechanism.
- the upper part on both sides bores 124 for receiving the bolt 123.
- the bolt 123 is fixed to the upper part 125, 140 with screws 131, which engage in the mounting in threaded bores 132 in the end faces of the bolt 123.
- the bolt 123 is mounted in two provided on the base support 121 bearings 127.
- the bearings 127 are arranged offset from the cone seat 122 such that the transverse to the chair longitudinal direction 5 pivot axis 4 of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 seen in chair longitudinal direction 5 next to the Konusfact 122, namely in front of the Konusfact 122 is arranged.
- a number of spring elements are usually provided, which may be, for example, tension springs or compression springs.
- a single central compression spring 128 is provided, which is supported with its one spring end on the base support 121 and with its opposite spring end on the inside of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140.
- an elastomeric cylinder 129 is optionally used, the verhindei as kink protection, t that the compression spring 128 kinks when upsetting.
- the elastomeric cylinder 129 acts as an additional spring element and supports the function of the compression spring 128.
- the compression spring 128 is compressed. In other words, the user has to pivot the backrest against the spring force.
- the spring elements 128, 129 then serve to return the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 from the pivoted position to the starting position.
- the single compression spring 128 may also be several, for example, juxtaposed springs, or other spring elements may be used.
- the compression spring 128 or the spring elements used are preferably arranged on the pivot axis 4 or the bolt 123 opposite side of the cone holder 122.
- the interior of the mechanism housing formed by the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 is optimally utilized.
- the at least one spring element for example in the form of a tension spring, but also on that side of the cone seat 122 may be arranged on which the bolt 123 is already provided.
- a gas spring 200 is provided in the chair column 1.
- the valve pin 3 of the gas spring 200 is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis 9 of the gas spring 200 and projects with its one end out of the top 2 of the chair column 1.
- the trigger 301 of serving as a triggering device pivot lever 300 is positioned. In its starting position, the trigger 301 abuts on the end face of the valve pin 3.
- the pivot lever 300 cooperates with the tilt mechanism 120. For this purpose, it is placed in such a way that the axis of rotation 7 of the pivoting lever 300 coincides with the pivot axis 4 of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140.
- the pivot lever 300 is pivotally mounted on the pin 123 by having a receiving sleeve 302 for the pin 123 which is disposed between the two bearings 127.
- the receiving sleeve 302 adjoins the bearing 127 on both sides and is thereby fixed in position, so it can not or only insignificantly move in the longitudinal direction of the bolt 8.
- the arranged on the receiving sleeve 302 trigger 301 of the pivot lever 300 is thereby located directly above the valve pin 3 of the gas spring 200.
- the bolt 123 performs the function of a space-saving combination component by one hand, regardless of pivoting of the upper part 125, 140, a pivoting of the pivot lever 300th and thus allows actuation of the gas spring 200 and on the other hand regardless of a pivoting of the pivot lever 300, a pivoting of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 and thus ensures the function of the rocking mechanism.
- the pivot lever 300 can directly, for example by hand, or with an aid, such as a traction device, such as a Bowden cable or the like, are operated.
- a traction device has the advantage that a suitable actuating means for the traction means can be attached to the chair 100 at any suitable location. Since the actuating means can be mounted away from the gas spring 200, the space required at the installation location of the triggering device 300 is reduced.
- a Bowden cable 304 is used to actuate the pivot lever 300.
- actuating means for the Bowden cable 304 for example, a connected to the Bowden cable 304, away from the chair column 1 arranged and pivotable on a fixed axis button (not shown) is used.
- the Bowden cable 304 is connected via a mounting nipple (not shown) with a lever arm 303 which is mounted on the side opposite the trigger 301 side of the receiving sleeve 302.
- the lever arm 303 is designed slotted and the Bowden cable 304 is hooked with its mounting nipple in the slot.
- As an abutment for the Bowden cable 304, in particular for supporting the Bowden cable, serves a parallel to the pivot axis 4 in the interior of the mechanism housing arranged function block 130.
- the function block 130 has a receptacle or implementation in which the Bowden cable 304 and guided Bowden cable is fixed with the help of fasteners.
- the bearings 127 are placed for receiving the bolt 123 and / or mounted on the bolt 123 pivoting lever 300 is formed such that when not actuated Bowden cable 304 of the trigger 301 is located substantially horizontally on the valve pin 3.
- valve pin 3 does not protrude from the top 2 of the chair column 1.
- the pivoting lever 300 may also be designed and positioned in such a way that the trigger 301 extends into the interior of the chair column 1 when the traction means 304 is actuated to actuate the valve pin 3.
- the triggering of the gas spring 200 does not have to be done by a movement from top to bottom.
- a movement of the valve pin 3 from bottom to top is conceivable.
- an embodiment is possible in which the gas spring 200 is not installed vertically.
- the valve pin 3 need not be parallel to the longitudinal axis 9 of the gas spring 200 or be movable.
- pivoting positions of the backrest or the seat support can be done with the help of the Bowden cable 304 at any time a height adjustment using the gas spring 200. Triggering of the gas spring 200 is possible not only in the starting position, but also in any position of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 which can be pivoted backwards, and thus of the seat.
- FIG. 9 . 14 and 15 Another rocking mechanism according to the invention has, as in Fig. 9 . 14 and 15 shown, another tool for actuating the pivot lever 300 on. Instead of a Bowden cable, an actuating lever 305 is used to operate the height adjustment.
- the actuating lever is mounted on the base support 121, here in a side wall 307 of the base support 121, by means of a bearing 311 formed by bearing elements 306.
- the actuating lever 305 lies in the in Fig. 9 illustrated variant on the top 312 of the trigger 301 and thus acts directly on the trigger 301 at.
- a handle possibly with a handle (not shown) provided free end 308 of the actuating lever 305 vertically, ie up or down, moves, see arrows 309.
- the free end 308 moves upward
- the lever end 310 of the actuating lever 305 moves downwards, thereby depressing the trigger 301, as a result of which the blocking valve 220 is opened and a height adjustment of the chair 100 becomes possible.
- a mounted on the receiving sleeve 302 and thus acting on the receiving sleeve 302 torsion spring 313 ensures that the pivot lever 300 moves back to its initial position after actuation of the blocking valve 220.
- the actuating lever 305 does not engage the trigger 301, but at the bottom of the opposite lever arm 303 of the pivot lever 300. In this case, would be carried by a movement of the free end 308 of the lever arm 303 upwards and thus depressed the trigger 301.
- a device 320 for blocking and releasing the rocking function of the rocking mechanism 120 is provided.
- this relates on the one hand to the in Fig. 9 . 14 and 15 pictured rocking mechanism, as well as in the Fig. 10 to 13 Pictured rocking mechanism.
- the blocking device 320 preferably functions independently of the height adjustment and is preferably operable independently of the higher: adjustment.
- the blocking device 320 comprises a blocking wedge 321 which is pivotally mounted on the base support 121 and which can be transferred from a normal position into a blocking position and back again.
- a blocking position see Fig. 12
- the blocking position is a rocking, so pivoting of the upper part 125, 140 to the rear, not possible because the blocking wedge 321 occupies a position pivoted relative to the normal position, in which it engages in a provided on the upper part 125, 140, corresponding blocking groove 322.
- the blocking device 320 does not serve to determine a specific pivoting position of the seat or backrests, but merely to lock the seat in the neutral position.
- the substantially block-shaped blocking wedge 321 is in the mounted state with its lower edge 323 on the base support 121 and is pivotable about a near its lower edge 323, extending in the wedge longitudinal direction pivot axis 324. In the blocking position, the upper edge 325 of the BLockierkeils 321 engages in the blocking groove 322 a. Since the blocking wedge 321 extends substantially over the entire width of the base support 121, a secure blocking of the Wippfunktion is achieved.
- the blocking device 320 is operated by means of an actuator 330.
- This actuating device 330 comprises a transmission element 331 which acts directly on the blocking wedge 321 and which is designed to transmit an adjusting movement from an actuating element 332 which can be actuated manually, for example, to the blocking wedge 321.
- the transmission element 331 is a partially elastic spring element executed. By storing deformation energy in the transmission element 331, a faster pivoting operation of the blocking wedge 321 is reliably ensured as soon as the actuating element 332 has traveled a defined minimum path.
- rocking mechanism 120 is a mechanism in which an operating lever 305 is provided for operating the pivot lever 300, as in Fig. 9 . 14 and 15 illustrated, the actuating lever 305 is advantageously formed at the same time as the actuating element 332 of the actuator 330 for the blocking device 320.
- the transmission element 331 is mounted by means of end provided coupling pieces 335 on the one hand to a near the upper edge 325 of the blocking wedge 321 attached coupling piece 334 of Blcckierkeils 321 and on the other hand to an identical coupling piece 334 pivotally mounted at the end of the lever end 310.
- the coupling pieces 334 teilkugel- or dome-shaped and the coupling pieces 335 are designed as receiving shells for receiving the coupling pieces 334, so that there is a flexible connection in the manner of a ball joint.
- the actuating lever 305 engages with its lever end 310 in the embodiment shown here directly to the transmission element 331.
- the transmission element 331 is acted upon and thus pivoting of the blocking wedge 321, which results in a blocking or releasing of the wiping function.
- the transmission element 331 designed as a partially elastic spring element protects against damage to the design elements involved. For example, if a user attempts to move the blocker wedge 321 by means of the actuator lever 305 when the seat is not in the zero position but in a rearwardly pivoted position, the transmission element 331 yields, so that affected structural elements, such as about the blocking wedge 321, not be damaged.
- a backup of the blocked or unblocked state of the tilt mechanism 120 is additionally provided. This is intended to prevent undefined intermediate positions, in other words to ensure that the rocker mechanism 120 is either safely blocked or safely released.
- the fuse should ensure that the blocking device 320 is not operated unintentionally.
- the backup should give the user feedback on the successful completion of a setting process. This is achieved in that the lever end 310 of the actuating lever 305 in the receptacle 341 of a driver 340 rests.
- the driver 340 is mounted on the base support 121 and is supported by a slot 342 on the bolt 123 from. During a movement of the actuating lever 305, the driver 340 is moved substantially transversely to the pivot axis 4. As a result, a latching recess 343 fastened to the driver 340 is moved relative to the base support 121.
- the latching recess 343 has two immediately adjacent latching steps 344, 345, wherein a latching step 344 of the blocking position of the blocking wedge 321 and thus the blocked state of the tilt mechanism 120 (FIGS. Fig. 14 ) and the other latching step 345 of the normal position of the blocking wedge 321 and thus the unblocked, released state of the tilt mechanism 120 (FIG. Fig. 15 ) assigned.
- the latching recess 343 cooperates with a latching element 346 such that the latching element 346 rests, depending on the state of the tilting mechanism 120, either in the one or the other latching step 344, 345 of the latching recess 343.
- the latching steps 344, 345 are concave.
- the locking element is, according to the shape of the latching steps 344, 345, convex.
- the latching steps 344, 345 are separated by a partition, which is designed such that it can be overcome by the locking element 346, so that a direct change from one to the other latching step 344, 345 is possible.
- the locking element 346 is connected to the base support 121. More precisely, the latching element 346 is located in the base support 121 in a receiving pocket 348 formed by two limiting ribs 347. The locking element is inserted by means of a likewise in the receiving pocket 348 Spring element 349 pressed against the recess 343. The spring element 349 thus ensures a secure locking.
- pivot lever 300 and actuating lever 305 are dimensioned and matched to one another such that the lever end 310 of the actuating lever 305 engages the pivoting lever 300 independently of the blocking or release position of the actuating lever 305.
- rocking mechanism 120 is a mechanism in which a Bowden cable 304 is provided for actuating the pivoting lever 300, see Fig. 10 to 13 , so preferably serves a actuatable by a second Bowden cable 351 pivot member 352 as an actuator 332 for actuating the blocking device 320.
- the pivotable from the second Bowden cable 351 pivot member 351 then attacks instead of the actuating lever 305 on the transmission element 331.
- a functional block 350 designed as a receiving sleeve is arranged on the bolt 123 and thus fixed to the base carrier 121.
- This function block 350 has a receptacle or passage in which the second Bowden cable 351 is guided.
- the function block 350 serves as an abutment for the second Bowden cable 351.
- the Bowden cable casing is fixed by means of fastening means.
- the bottom pull end is held in the pivot member 352.
- the pivoting element 352 connected to the end of the second Bowden cable 351 is connected to the functional block 350 in a spring-loaded manner.
- the leg 353 is provided with a receiving bore through which a pivot pin (not shown) is inserted, which is mounted with its ends in bearing openings (not shown).
- the bearing openings are located in those frame members, which are in the assembled state immediately in front of the openings of the receiving bore.
- the functional block 350 is fastened to the bolt 123 in the embodiment variant shown here.
- the existing space in the base plate 121 space between the bearings 127 is optimally utilized.
- such an arrangement facilitates the assembly of the functional block, as well as the arrangement of the other construction element on the bolt facilitates their assembly in the production of the rocking mechanism 120. It is only necessary sans shecken the components on the bolt 123. A complicated screwing or the like is not necessary.
- the functional block 350 could also be provided at a different location, for example as part of the base support 121.
- the in the Fig. 9 to 15 Mechanisms shown differ from those in the Fig. 3 to 8 shown Mechanisms also in that they have 128 juxtaposed parallel pressure springs 128 instead of a central compression spring.
- the compression springs 128 are in turn supported with their spring ends on the inside of the upper part of the mechanism 125, 140 on the one hand and on the base support 121 on the other. However, the spring ends 361 supporting themselves on the base support 121 now rest on spring seats 362.
- the spring plates 362 have wedge-shaped sliding bodies 365 on their undersides 364 opposite the spring support surfaces 363. These sliding bodies 365 cooperate with sliding bodies 366 provided on the base support 121 and are based thereon. These sliders 366 are also wedge-shaped, but arranged in opposite directions.
- the sliding bodies 366 are arranged in circular spring plate receptacles 372 in the base support 121.
- the spring plates 362 have central operating openings 367, which are designed as hexagonal openings in the example. These operating openings 367 also extend through the adjoining the spring support surfaces 363 Bend protection cylinder 373 of the spring plate 362.
- the spring plate 362 are rotatable about these operating openings 367 with the aid of a suitable tool about a perpendicular to the spring support surfaces 363 and parallel to the spring longitudinal axes extending adjustment axis 369.
- the wedge-shaped sliders 365, 366 on spring plates 362 and base plate 121 are preferably designed and arranged so that each spring plate 362 can be either in a defined lower or a defined upper position. Positions beyond these end positions of the spring plates 362 are thereby prevented in the illustrated example by stops 371 attached to the spring plates 362 and cooperating with the base support 121, which thereby simultaneously limit the permissible rotational range of the spring plates 362. Since a total of two compression springs 128 are present and for each compression spring 128 preferably two positions of the spring plate 362 are possible, thereby at least four different, defined pivoting resistances can be adjusted for the mechanism shown. A particularly variable adjustment of the swivel resistance is possible if the individual Spring elements 128 associated slider 165, 366 have unequal steep contact surfaces.
- the described type of spring adjustment is basically also in the in the Fig. 3 to 8 shown mechanics applicable.
