Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for acquiring health-related information about internal organs and / or a metabolism of a person to be checked. It also relates to a detection machine for the same purpose.
- the dental status of a patient is often entered into a so-called dental plan at the dentist, which is usually also deposited on a computer system today except in a paper patient file.
- the object of the present invention is to detect further health-related information in such systems in the simplest possible way which are expected to provide informational added value for the interpretation of the health status of a person under review.
- the detection is preferably an interactive process in which the person to be checked and / or a second person assisting her receives the input question orders and then makes inputs, whereupon further questions are presented, possibly taking into account previous inputs ,
- Input questions are understood to mean all those questions or instructions that are suitable for prompting a user specifically to provide information. They can be presented, for example, in the form of a set of questions, but also of individual questions or even a manual or mixed forms from different question or guidance categories.
- a detection machine a computer or computer system is preferably used, however, other types of automatic units can be used in the information can be read and provide this information automatically in the form of machine-readable data, such as an image analysis unit.
- the deployment may or may not necessarily involve conversion or conversion of the information into machine-readable data. It can also be machine-readable data, such as in Form of number codes are entered, which then only holds the collection machine, possibly prepared and / or systematized, and provides for further use.
- the machine-readable data particularly preferably comprises such data which are provided in the form of a computer-readable code, in particular in the form of a hexadecimal code or an ASCII code or a Unicode.
- the information on the internal organs or on the metabolism refers to the state of these organs or the metabolism, so that it can draw conclusions about diseases, abnormalities or health safety with sufficient expertise.
- the statement about the condition of an organ includes in particular one of the following statements:
- the procedure relates to the collection of health-related information about internal organs or a metabolism.
- Internal organs are preferably understood to mean the internal organs of the abdominal and / or thoracic region and / or the brain of the person to be checked.
- Health-related information concerning the mouth / cheek / cheek space ie the area of the oral cavity, in particular with regard to teeth, the gums and the tongue, does not appear here: Namely, the use of cartographic, in particular disease-related, features in the mouth / throat / cheek space becomes operated no direct symptom detection, but an indirect information collection.
- the characteristics In the mouth / throat / cheek space conclusions about organs or circuits can be made at a location other than that of the detection of the characteristics.
- the invention also includes a method for producing a number of therapy proposals for the treatment of internal organs and / or metabolic disorders on the basis of health-related information about internal organs and / or a metabolism of a person to be examined, which information with a method according to the invention for collecting health-related information
- the possible therapy suggestions are derived from the health-related information using rules stored in a database.
- the method according to the invention for acquiring health-related information is further developed in that a number of possible therapy proposals for the person to be checked is derived directly or indirectly from the cartographic features. For this purpose, she uses the rules stored in the database.
- a detection machine of the type mentioned has according to the invention a data-providing unit which is designed so that it detects cartographic features in the mouth / throat / cheek space of the person to be checked during operation and for later conversion into health-related information about the internal organs and / or provides the metabolism in the form of machine-readable data.
- the cartographic features are detected via an interface to the recording machine.
- This interface can be designed as part of the detection machine, but it can also be far away from it, for example in the form of a scanner and / or fax machine, into which a paper with cartographic feature information is read and which transmits this information to the detection machine.
- the detection machine preferably also has an input interface, which is not formed as a user interface, but as a data input interface.
- Such interfaces do not necessarily have to be designed as hardware components, but may also be implemented in whole or in part as software modules, for example in the latter case a data input interface in which the cartographic feature information can be completely or partially taken over by another device that acts as a user interface.
- the interfaces can also consist of hardware and software components, such as a standard hardware interface, which is specially configured by software for the specific application.
- several existing interfaces can also be combined in a common interface, for example an input / output interface.
- the invention therefore also relates to a computer program product which can be loaded directly into a processor of a programmable system for acquiring health-related information, with program code means for carrying out all steps of a method according to the invention for acquiring health-related information and / or a method according to the invention for generating health-related information. to execute a number of therapy suggestions when the program product is executed on the system.
- the invention relates to a system for recording health-related information about internal organs and / or a metabolism of a person to be checked. This includes at least:
- a query providing unit for providing input requests
- the inventive method for acquiring health-related information can be carried out.
- the invention also includes an analogously designed system for producing a number of therapy proposals for the treatment of internal organs and / or metabolic abnormalities on the basis of health-related information about internal organs and / or a metabolism of a person to be checked.
- an analogously designed system for producing a number of therapy proposals for the treatment of internal organs and / or metabolic abnormalities on the basis of health-related information about internal organs and / or a metabolism of a person to be checked includes at least:
- a therapy proposal derivation unit which, during operation, derives possible therapy suggestions from the health-related information using the rules stored in the database
- an output interface via which therapy suggestions can be output.
- the detection machine can also be developed according to the dependent claims for analog method.
- a particular advantage arises in the context of the method according to the invention, if it also includes a conversion of the machine-readable data of the cartographic features into health-related information about the internal organs and / or the metabolism. This advantage is that conclusions about the features in the area of the oral cavity are drawn, which facilitate a diagnosis, for example for a doctor.
- Such an additional method step preferably takes place automatically, that is to say independently and purely machine-based.
- further input data can be used, for example information provided by the person to be checked for pain or other complaints or - positive - for freedom from symptoms, in particular with regard to internal organs or metabolic processes.
- the cartographic feature data from the area of the oral cavity represent information that is complementary to the topics commonly asked by a physician to develop an overall picture of the person to be checked.
- Such a conversion is particularly preferably carried out on the basis of rules stored in a database of an expert system.
- a number of possible therapy suggestions (and as part of its dosage suggestions and continuous adjustments in the course of such proposed therapies) for the person to be examined can be derived from the health-related information obtained by the conversion.
- This procedure represents a particularly advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention for the preparation of a number of therapy proposals, since it involves, in an intermediate step, findings which represent a kind of intermediate evaluation of the cartographic features.
- the person to be checked can thus receive both information about their health (overall) condition and information on how to remedy any interference.
- both the health-related information obtained by the conversion and the possible therapy proposals are preferred Handler issued for evaluation and not the person to be checked itself.
- the practitioner can derive from the health-related information namely a professional diagnosis and from the therapy proposals a therapy concept.
- the health-related information namely a professional diagnosis and from the therapy proposals a therapy concept.
- he may also have further information about the person to be checked, for example from his own investigations, which he would like to include in the overall picture.
- Such information may also include laboratory values, which may also be included as input data in the automated conversion, for example.
- the method according to the invention and the acquisition machine according to the invention for detecting health-related information can additionally process a wealth of different input data and can work from databases on the basis of sophisticated rules. Nevertheless, the result of the method according to the invention does not constitute a diagnosis or therapy. For this purpose, a medical expertise is absolutely necessary. Therefore, the results are to be understood at most as indications for a diagnosis or suggestions for a therapy, ie as precursors for the actual medical intervention.
- the cartographic features are preferably matched with cartographic reference features and from this a relative statement and / or a history statement are derived.
- a relative statement thus includes the provision of comparative data, from which differences and / or similarities of the cartographic features to or with the reference features emerge.
- Reference features in this context may be features from historical previous implementations of the method according to the invention for the acquisition of health-related information as well as other reference features stored in a database, for example ideal features derived from scientific research series and the specific clinical pictures represent.
- the historical statement may be derived, which includes a statement of the difference between the cartographic reference features of the previous implementation of the procedure and the cartographic features of the current conduct of the procedure.
- the examination of the mouth / throat / cheek space is easily possible for a layman. It is even preferred in the context of the invention for a layperson to input the cartographic features via the interface, namely either the person to be checked himself or a person who assists the latter, but has no or very little medical expertise.
- This has the advantage that the eye of a competent practitioner only falls on the data and information when the person actually affected himself has already delivered unprejudiced data. Again, since these data can easily be entered by the layman, there is sufficient intersubjectivity in determining the characteristics, and the practitioner can also impartially deal with the information.
- the detection via a spatially separated from the detection machine so min- at least in a neighboring room located interface is performed.
- a further distance of the interface to the detection machine for example, the installation of these two elements in other buildings, here is no problem.
- a particularly preferred separation of the two elements is achieved in that the interface and the detection machine via a data network, such as the Internet, are connected.
- the only thing to watch out for is sufficient data security during transmission.
- Such complete separation has the advantage for the person to be examined that they can make their input from home or at work and do not have to move to another location for this purpose.
- the strengths of the invention are particularly evident here, since remote detection, unlike other systems, is not so narrow due to the simple comprehensibility and the possibility of precise assignment of features to states, for example complaints of specific internal organs and / or metabolic processes set.
- the cartographic features can be detected in various forms, for example as mere information on the presence, type and coordinates of a feature, for example in the form of a layout matrix.
- a layout matrix for example, a feature that is detected in various forms.
- it has proven to perform the detection of features in the mouth / throat / cheek space based on a schematic cartographic representation of an ideal mouth / throat / cheek space.
- This ideal typical or schematic representation serves as a guide to the person grasping the features.
- the acquisition machine can use it as a sort of slide or scheme for automated further processing and, if necessary, conversion into machine-readable, d. H. use standardized data, especially when the information is entered in the cartographic representation.
- Such registration or distortion in the cartographic representation may, according to a first variant, be effected by registering the features on a cartographic representation presented on paper or a similar physical support medium.
- the thus completed cartographic fish representation can then be fed electronically into the detection machine, such as by scanning.
- a second variant which can be used in addition to the first, but also instead, is that the features directly via an electronic user interface, such as a touch screen and / or a computer peripheral device such as a keyboard, a computer mouse o. ⁇ ., Entered become. Such an input eliminates the process step of converting the cartographic representation presented on paper into machine-readable data in comparison to the first variant.
- an electronic user interface such as a touch screen and / or a computer peripheral device such as a keyboard, a computer mouse o. ⁇ ., Entered become.
- Such an input eliminates the process step of converting the cartographic representation presented on paper into machine-readable data in comparison to the first variant.
- the features are entered in the form of symbol graphic elements in the cartographic representation.
- symbols may include, for example, known keyboard symbols such as crosses, + signs and circles, and their meaning is preferably explained by a legend in the context of the cartographic representation. This procedure is also intuitive for laymen.
- the symbol graphic elements are preferably ajar in their shape and, where appropriate, also in color, to the particular feature to be identified.
- An indentation can be coded with a circle, for example, an increase with a cross, based on the marking of the highest points on maps.
- the features are particularly preferably entered at a location in the cartographic representation which corresponds at least approximately to a location in the mouth, throat, and cheek space of the person to be checked.
- the registration in the cartographic representation thereby also reflects the actual spatial arrangement of the features.
- the input requests relate to at least one of these characteristics.
- the system according to the invention for the preparation of a number of therapy proposals or the expert system is particularly preferably developed as a self-learning system.
- the recognition reliability of the expert system can be increased over time, or it is possible to temporarily detect and, if necessary, also feed in very frequently occurring or long-term occurring new states.
- Figure 1 is a schematic ideal typical cartographic representation of a
- Mouth / cheek / cheek space as it can be used as a basis for carrying out the method according to the invention
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic block diagram of an exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention for producing a number of therapy proposals
- Figure 3 is a schematic block diagram of an embodiment of the system according to the invention for the preparation of a number of therapy proposals.
- Figure 1 shows a schematic ideal typical cartographic representation of a face 1 with a mouth / throat / cheek space 3, so the oral cavity of a human. It is principally subdivided into the left side of the face Y and the right side of the face Z (as viewed from the person to be checked) and the area of the upper oral cavity W and the area of the lower oral cavity X.
- a finer subdivision into regions accordingly includes the subdivision into the upper left oral cavity S, the upper right oral cavity V, the lower left oral cavity T and the lower right oral cavity U, as well as the center located behind the Throat area 9 and the upper lip area Q, the lower lip area R, the upper gum 11 b and the lower gum 11 a and the teeth. 5
- Such a cartographic representation 1 which can be held in paper form or displayed on a graphical user interface of an input interface, is used to enter cartographic features 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d, 13e, which a person to be checked ascertains by self-examination per se.
- the position and orientation of these features 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d, 13e is entered there by means of symbol graphic elements, which are given in a legend (not shown), in the cartographic representation 1, where they are approximately in the oral cavity of this person are located.
- Elevations 13a, 13d are listed here as crosses, depressions 13b, 13c as circles and a bloody depression 13e as + symbols.
- the first elevation 13a is a longitudinal elevation, which is therefore registered in the form of several crosses and in an approximately horizontal orientation in the region of the upper right oral cavity V.
- the first depression 13b is punctiform and localized in the region of the left upper oral cavity S.
- the second depression 13c is in turn longitudinal and therefore has several circles in a vertical orientation in the region of the left lower oral cavity T.
- the second recess 13d in the lower right oral cavity U is punctiform.
- machine-readable data in the form of a hexadecimal code can now be provided with the aid of the method according to the invention, from which further health-related information about the state of internal organs and / or the metabolism of the person to be checked can be derived. for example, about the condition of the digestive tract and / or the spleen of the person to be examined.
- FIG. 2 schematically shows the sequence of an embodiment of a method I according to the invention for producing a number of therapy suggestions. which includes an embodiment of a method E for acquiring health-related information.
- a first step A input questions are provided which relate at least, inter alia, to cartographic features in the mouth / throat area.
- the answers to these questions are entered in a step B via an interface and detected in a step C in a detection machine.
- This provides machine-readable data in a step D based on these features.
- steps A to D are thus the essential steps of the method E according to the invention for the acquisition of health-related information, which can be further expanded by the fact that in a step F a transformation of the cartographic features into health-related information about the internal organs and / or or, if appropriate, the metabolism takes place and, if appropriate, further in a step G, a number of possible therapy suggestions for the person to be checked is generated from the health-related information obtained by the conversion.
- step G is essential, while the step F can possibly be omitted.
- step H is to output the obtained information, i. H. the machine-readable data and / or the health-related information and / or the therapy suggestions.
- FIG. 3 schematically shows an exemplary embodiment of a system 15 for producing a number of therapy suggestions. It contains a questioning providing unit 17 for providing input orders, an interface 19 and a detection machine 21 permanently or temporarily connected to this interface 19 and a conversion unit 23 linked to a database 27 of an expert system via a link 25, a therapy proposal derivation unit 29 and a Output interface 31.
- the detection engine 21 includes a data providing unit 22.
- the machine-readable data MD are converted into health-related information G1 via the internal organs and / or the metabolism of the person to be checked, from which the cartographic features M originate, in accordance with rules stored in the database 27. From the health-related information G1, signals to the question-and-answer providing unit 17 can subsequently be derived, namely signals concerning which further questions should possibly still be checked.
- the therapy proposal derivation unit 29 again derives, in comparison with the same database 27, optionally also with another database (not shown), therapy suggestions TV which are output via the output interface 31 to a practitioner who subsequently issues deals with possible therapies or diagnoses for the person so examined.
- the questioning providing unit 17, the interface 19 and the acquisition machine 21 together form a system 20 for the acquisition of health-related information, with which all steps of the analogous method E according to the invention can be carried out completely, as described in connection with FIG.
- a person to be examined feels longitudinal bumps in the left cheek area.
- these cartographic features may be translated into health-related information that the person in the liver / bile area has functional and / or organic disorders, for example, drainage obstruction and / or stones.
- this health-related information can be further refined if necessary.
- the expert system derives therefrom as a possible therapy suggestion, for example, intake of medicaments and / or active substances for stimulating the outflow from the bile and / or for changing the composition of the secretions of the liver and / or bile.
- individual units of the system can also be combined, for example as software components on a processor. They can also be spatially separated from each other and, for example, connected to each other via a network, such as the Internet.
- a network such as the Internet.
