  1. Internal combustion engine, in particular for a motor vehicle,
    - with a cylinder head (2),
    - with a cylinder head cover (3),
    - with an intermediate flange (4) that is arranged between the cylinder head (2) and the cylinder head cover (3) and that is a separate component with respect to the cylinder head cover (3) and the cylinder head (2),
    - with at least one collar screw (6) for fastening the cylinder head cover (3) and the intermediate flange (4) on the cylinder head (2) having a shaft (7) with a threaded section (9), a head (10) and a collar (11) spaced from the head (10),
    - with a first sealing arrangement (12) that is arranged between the cylinder head (2) and the intermediate flange (4),
    - with a second sealing arrangement (13) that is arranged between the cylinder head cover (3) and the intermediate flange (4),
    - whereby the respective collar screw (6) with the threaded section (9) is screwed into a threaded opening (14) formed on the cylinder head (2), with the shaft (7) through a flange passage opening (16) designed on the intermediate flange (4) and through a hood passage opening (17) designed on the cylinder head cover (3) and with the head (10) supported on the cylinder head cover (3),
    - whereby the cylinder head cover (3) is elastically supported indirectly via the second elastic sealing arrangement (13) on the intermediate flange (4),
    characterized in that
    - the respective collar screw (6) is supported by the collar (11) on the cylinder head (2),
    - the intermediate flange (4) is elastically supported indirectly via the elastic first sealing arrangement (12) on the cylinder head (2).
  2. Internal combustion engine according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the collar (11) is supported directly and/or rigidly on the cylinder head (2).
  3. Internal combustion engine according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
    - the head (10) is supported directly and/or rigidly on the cylinder head cover (3), or
    - the head (10) is rigidly and/or elastically supported indirectly via a rigid or elastic element (18) on the cylinder head cover (3).
  4. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 3,
    characterized in that
    the intermediate flange (4) does not directly touch the cylinder head (2) or the cylinder head cover (3) axially.
  5. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 4,
    characterized in that
    the respective collar screw (6) with the collar (11) is supported on the cylinder head (2) by the bottom side (23) of the cylinder flange (4) facing the cylinder head (2).
  6. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 5,
    characterized in that
    a gap (19) between the cylinder head (2) and the cylinder head cover (3) in the mounted state in the mounting direction (5) is greater than a height (22) of the intermediate flange (4).
  7. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 6,
    characterized in that
    - the first sealing arrangement is formed by a single first seal (12) that runs closed around the intermediate flange (4), and/or
    - the second sealing arrangement is formed by a single second seal (13) that runs closed around the intermediate flange (4).
  8. Internal combustion engine according to claim 7,
    characterized in that
    - the first seal (12) is chambered on the intermediate flange (4) or on the cylinder head (2), and/or
    - the second seal (13) is chambered on the cylinder head cover (3) or on the intermediate flange (4).
  9. Internal combustion engine according to claim 7 or 8,
    characterized in that
    the respective seal (12, 13) separates an inner side (25) of the intermediate flange (4) from an outer side (26) of the intermediate flange (4), whereby the respective collar screw (6) is arranged on the outer side (26).
  10. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 9, with at least one securing area (27) in which the intermediate flange (4) is secured to the cylinder head (2).
  11. Internal combustion engine according to claim 10,
    characterized in that
    in the securing area (27), the intermediate flange (4) is affixed to the cylinder head (2), even if all collar bolts (6) are removed, and the cylinder head cover (3) can be removed from the intermediate flange (4).
  12. Internal combustion engine according to claim 10 or 11,
    characterized in that
    radial and axial clearance between the intermediate flange (4) and the cylinder head (2) is provided in the securing area (27) with respect to the mounting direction (5).
  13. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 12,
    characterized in that
    the respective collar screw (6) is formed from one piece and is integral to the shaft (7), the threaded section (9), the head (10) and the collar (11).
  14. Internal combustion engine according to claim 13,
    characterized in that
    threaded section (9) is formed at a first end section of the collar screw (6), while the head (10) is formed at a second end section of the collar screw (6).
  15. Internal combustion engine according to one of claims 1 to 14,
    characterized in that
    the collar (11) is formed at the shaft (7) and there separates the threaded section (9) from a thread-free central section, which extends from the collar (11) to the head (10).
